Abstract:with the in-depth development of smart grid, the traditional grid scheduling control system based on SOA architecture can not meet the requirements of system reliability and performance. In order to enhance the load performance and stability of the system, the distributed architecture of the power grid dispatching control system is transformed by using the microservice technology architecture, and the system upgrading maintenance without perception is realized by using the logic decoupling design of microservice. Based on the analysis of the current situation of power grid control business and system, this paper puts forward the design scheme of system microservice architecture, expounds the key technologies of microservice, and verifies through experiments that the throughput, fault tolerance, maintainability and scalability of power grid dispatching control system can be greatly improved by adopting the proposed technical scheme.

Abstract:Grids, as one implementation of public computing, can be deployed by some middleware to integrate all kinds of resources across institutional boundaries, to tackle complex problems in scientific and engineering computation, data storage, scientific visualization, etc. In this paper, we propose a public computing grid framework built upon the hierarchical combination of two popular middleware products, Globus Toolkit (GT) and Sun Grid Engine (SGE). The communication between them can be conducted by Transfer-queue Over Globus (TOG). We discuss issues related to the deployment and the usage of this kind of hybrid grids. We examine it using serial programs and parallel program codes, and compare it with the grids deployed by only GT or SGE, respectively. The case studies imply that this hybrid grid is suitable for loosely coupled applications with high computational complexity.

Abstract:This paper proposes a computational grid platform for solving the large-scale power system applications. The platform is based on Globus Toolkit middleware and Grid Way meta-scheduler. It can enable large-scale sharing of computational resources across institutional boundary. This paper first discusses the architecture and each component of the platform, and then the test bed is described. Finally, the test results of probabilistic load flow (PLF) by Monte-Carlo simulation are presented. The test results show that the computational Grid system can provide comparable performance.

Abstract:In this paper, we present our work on the integration of existing engineering applications using Grid Services. We address a visual grid framework that provides an integrated development environment for engineering computation applications. Furthermore, we demonstrate bow such services can interact with each other. These interactions enable a level of integration that assists the scientific application architect in leveraging applications running in heterogeneous runtime environments. Our framework is implemented by using the existing infrastructures and middleware, the Globus Toolkit. We test our framework for computation solid mechanics applications that require large data transferring, interactive steering, using of multiple platforms, visualization, and access via a portal with graphic interface.

Abstract:The distributed instruments and equipments sharing via network can improve accessibility and utilization remarkably. Taking into consideration of various problems to realize equipment resources sharing on network, a multi-layer equipment grid architecture based on the idea of simulation and modeling was put forward. The design principles and basic framework were discussed. Its implementation technologies for equipment grid were given, such as network layer, protocol layer, resource encapsulation layer, middleware layer, simulation and modeling layer, application layer, grid portal, and security mechanism, etc. The core approach was to build simulation model for shared equipments as their virtual images, which were used to access, manage and schedule remote resources to solve the problem of different types equipments sharing via network. Its efficiency and feasibility were proved with good performance in the one of '211 Project'-National University Equipment and Resource Sharing System.

Abstract:Job management is a key issue in computational grids, and normally involves job definition, scheduling, executing and monitoring. However, job management in the existing grid middleware needs to be improved in terms of efficiency and flexibility. This paper addresses a flexible architecture for job management with detailed design and implementation. Frameworks for job scheduling and monitoring, as two important aspects, are also presented. The proposed job management has the advantages of reusability of job definition, flexible and automatic file operation, visual steering of file transfer and job execution, and adaptive application job scheduler. A job management wizard is designed to implement each step. Therefore, what the grid user needs to do is only to define the job by constructing necessary information at runtime. In addition, the job space is adopted to ensure the security of the job management. Experimental results showed that this approach is user-friendly and system efficient.

Abstract:Resource discovery is an important problem in the field of grid computing. A new model about resource discovery service is put forward in this paper with considering the merit of P2P, Web service technology. With P2P we can fully utilize marginal resource to discovery shared resource, which can dramatically improve the discovery performance, reduce the server load. Then using Web service to publish the resource discovery service is considered and deployed in this paper. The protocol used in the model and the methods to be adopted to finish the model are introduced also. We have accomplished the resource discovery service in perl computer language, published this service and called this service in java computer language.

Abstract:Grids aim at constructing a virtual single image of heterogeneous resources and provide uniform interface for distributed internet applications. China also devotes much passion and endeavour to the evolution of grid projects. Based on the experience in building and enhancing Chinese grids in collaboration with colleagues from around the globe, it is important to choose grid technologies that support and work on a wide variety of resources. Grid middleware research and development in China is described in this paper. First we give the overview of the three government-sponsored grid programmes, namely, China National Grid, ChinaGrid and NSFCGrid. Then three representative grid middleware, ChinaGrid Support Platform (CGSP), China National Grid Operation System (GOS), China Research and Development Environment Over Wide-area Network (CROWN) are introduced in detail from six aspects: design motivation, architecture, function modules, main features, interoperability, current status and applications. Finally, we abstract the main characteristics of these three middleware systems and put forward a comparison among them.

Abstract:This paper introduces the concept of grid computing and its characteristics. Basing on analyzing the characteristics of grid computing, we apply grid computing to GIS field to construct grid GIS, which is the application of grid computing on geographic information system with grid computing as the basic running environment. According to the architecture of grid and integrating the characteristics of GIS, we design the architecture of grid GIS, which has three layers. They are grid GIS resource layer, grid GIS middleware layer and grid GIS application layer. Among them, the grid GIS middleware layer is the most important. Then this paper expatiates on our research on grid GIS middleware, which is about the design and development of distributed cooperative computing GIS software. The key technologies of the distributed cooperative computing GIS software are discussed, which include technology of global spatial resource management, spatial data computing task allocation and management, system consistency mechanism and system security mechanism. The implementation process is also presented. At last, this paper presents the further researches of the distributed cooperative computing GIS software.

Abstract:Power grid is the jointly developed applications of grid technology and technologies of power monitoring and automatic scheduling. Grid technology has tremendous ability in integrating kinds of resources in network,so it can solve some problems in existing power system. Meanwhile,as the new application of grid technology,power grid brings a new research background and direction to it. However,because of the particularities in power system,the technologies used in power grid are not completely similar to that in grid technology,for the power grid expects higher requirements in real time,compatibility and openness for data communication. In this paper we analyzed the difficulties the traditional grid communication method has when being applied in power grid against the above characteristics,and presented our own scheme as a solution according to an application paradigm in power grid which is named PGP platform,and testified the technical feasibility of it,as reported at the end of this paper.

Abstract:The main focus of grid is the resource sharing at substrate level. With present existing tool kits, however, great efforts still need to be made to implement resource sharing at higher level, such as publishing grid services on grid substrates. In this paper, we present construction platform for specific computing grid (CPSCG), a system that renders the ease and speediness for users to construct a computing grid. Shared computational resources are wrapped to Web services and exported as grid services with little human labor in CPSCG. Web user interface, which is automatically built by system based on Web services, is supplied to end users for them to invoke grid services

Abstract:A grid computing in the field of optics is presented in this paper. Firstly, the basic principles and research background of grid computing are outlined in this paper, along with the overview of its applications and the development status quo. The paper also discusses several typical tasks scheduling algorithms. Secondly, it focuses on describing a task scheduling of grid computing applied in optical computation. The paper gives details about the task scheduling system, including the task partition, granularity selection and tasks allocation, especially the structure of the system. In addition, some details of communication on grid computing are also illustrated. In this system, the "makespan" and "load balancing" are comprehensively considered. Finally, we build a grid model to test the task scheduling strategy, and the results are analyzed in detail. Compared to one isolated computer, a grid comprised of one server and four processors can shorten the "makespan" to 1/4. At the same time, the experimental results of the simulation also illustrate that the proposed scheduling system is able to balance loads of all processors. In short, the system performs scheduling well in the grid environment.

In this paper, first we compare the difference between the grid workflow and the conventional workflow which illustrates that it is necessary to study the grid workflow. Abstract:The outage management function of Nanjing Grid is performed by application systems of different departments, such as dispatching, production, power demand side management, customer service center (95598) and emergency repair center of transmission and distribution. Efficient work flow, application and information integration on the multisource real-time and non real-time information systems of such departments shall be implemented for the realization of the smart, rapidness as well as automation of the outage management of Nanjing Grid. Thus, this article analyzes relevant work flows and information exchanging among various systems mentioned by the outage management of the Nanjing Company. The idea formed in the application of many distribution software systems is supported by the utility of abstractive middleware service with the reference of IEC61970/61968 standards. Double Enterprise Service Bus structure is applied in real-time and quasi real time zones (i.e. safety zones 1 and 2) and non real-time zones (i.e. safety zones 3 and 4) to realize an integration frame of the Outage Management System with the integration of correlative work flow and outage information. The integration frame is able to effectively integrate information islands of electric power enterprises, which produces a great dynamic flexibility.
