Abstract:Objective To explore the morbidity of hypertension,hyperlipoidemia,hyperglycemia among middle and old aged community population in Dongguan city,and to provide an appropriate suggestion on health care to them.Methods The residents were selected from two communities through randomized cluster sampling,then questioned and screened by trained investigators.The analysis included comparing the health condition among different population by using SPSS13.0 software.Results The prevalence of hypertension,hyperlipoidemia,diabetes were 13.5%,86.5% and 5.4% respectively.Besides of diabetes,the prevalence of hypertension,hyperlipoidemia in male were higher than that in female significantly(p0.05),and the prevalence of hypertension,hyperlipoidemia,diabetes increased with age(p0.05),and the relationship between smoking and hypertension was statistically significant(p0.05).Conclusion The middle and old aged community population in Dongguan city were vulnerable to hypertension,hyperlipoidemia,hyperglycemia,especially the prevalence of hyperlipoidemia was very high,so more active measures of preventions must be taken.
