Abstract:In an era of information explosion, improving information literacy for academical innovation is essential for postgraduate students. However, the majority of these students lack information literacy knowledge, and even a few lack access to related courses. To improve the ratio and level of the information literacy of postgraduate students, we design a novel framework for general information literacy. It consists of four parts, namely, teaching process, methods, abilities, and applications. The methods part of the framework includes questionnaire, intensive teaching, embedded pedagogy, and free sharing. They provide support for the teaching process and abilities improvement. Notably, postgraduate students’ abilities are expected to be enhanced, namely, learning(using search engines to enhance search quotient), academic research (conducting literature search, analysis, and assessment), and innovation (evaluating innovation and managing information). These abilities are applicable to academic research, internship, and academic competitions, among others. Moreover, we design a questionnaire to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed framework. The statistical results demonstrate that the information literacy of postgraduate students maintained an upward trend, and the course was evaluated with a high level of satisfaction.

Abstract:Classified cultivation of postgraduates is one of the important means to improve the training quality of high-level innova-tive talents. This paper analyzes the status quo of the classified cultivation of postgraduates in China after ten-year practice. Abstract:With huge amount of information emerging every day, it brings challenges to advanced undergraduate students and junior postgraduate students. Actually, those students have different levels of information literacy due to the diversity of students' backgrounds. To improve students' information literacy, this paper designs a course, which puts it into practice by a class of software engineering major. The course structure consists of three parts that aims to improve students' three abilities: learning ability, academic research ability, and innovation ability. For learning ability, multiple usages of searching engines are added to help develop their search quotient. For academic research ability, how to search in many databases and how to manage the literatures are important issues. For innovation ability, how to evaluate innovations and how to manage one's inspirations are included. These three abilities are trained by project assignment that is required in a limited time. A questionnaire is carried out to obtain the feedbacks of participants. The results shed light on that the design of our course achieves good results with high satisfaction degree. It shows that the proposed course structure is very welcome and it has promising applications in other majors.

Abstract:The innovative teaching behaviors of college teacher are of positive significance for promoting the construction of educational informatization in China and realizing the high-quality development of higher education. Based on the theory of social cognition and theory of behavioral change, the paper explores the influential mechanism and its boundary conditions of college teachers' information literacy on their innovative teaching behaviors during the new era of educational informatization. Through the investigation of 280 college teachers, it is found that: (1) information literacy and its dimensions of information knowledge and information capability have a significant positive effect on innovative teaching behavior; (2) Creative self-efficacy plays a mediating role between information literacy (information knowledge and information capability) and innovative teaching behavior; (3) College innovation climate significantly moderates the positive relationship between information literacy (information awareness and information knowledge) and creative self-efficacy; (4) College innovation climate significantly moderates the mediating effect of creative self-efficacy between information literacy (information awareness and information knowledge) and innovative teaching behavior. Therefore, colleges and universities should focus on enhancing teachers' information literacy level and their creative self-efficacy, creating an excellent atmosphere for innovation, and encouraging college teachers to actively carry out their innovative teaching practice in the new stage of educational informatization.

Abstract:The 21st century is an era of knowledge and information. Modern science and technology based on information technology has inspired profound changes in the world, including college education. Information literacy is an intrinsic element that often plays an important role in teaching and school management. In the information age, how to improve college teachers’ information literacy has become a major issue in the development of college education. This paper focuses on the study of college English teachers’ information literacy. It first studies the basic connotation of information literacy of college teachers which covers information awareness, information knowledge, and information ability. Then this paper takes college English teachers in North China Electric Power University as the research object, and adopts questionnaire survey and literature research to analyze the current situation of the information literacy of college English teachers. Based on the analysis of the basic connotation of teachers’ information literacy, and the current situation of college English teachers’ information literacy, this paper puts forward three strategies for improving college English teachers’ information literacy: enhancing college English teachers’ self-development consciousness, making use of group dynamics, and perfecting modern information technology training system.

Abstract:In order to further improve the teaching quality of computer basic course to the non-computer majored, this paper analyzed the current teaching status of computer common course. Abstract:Information technology has been deeply integrated in and widely applied to various fields of society, including education. The continuous informatization of higher education means that university teachers will face new challenges of information technology. The requirements for a teacher’s information literacy imply a higher ability to teach with the aid of information technology.
