Abstract:The activation of GnRH pulsatile release is a key step of animal sexual development.Studies show that kisspeptins/GPR54 system,playing a pivotal role in activation of GnRH pulsatile release,is a regulator of sexual development onset.Studies regarding the intracellular signaling pathways on kisspeptins/GPR54 confirm that kisspeptins can activate a wide variety of signals via GPR54 to exert the other roles.Additionally,some factors such as photoperiod and energy reserve affect animal sexual development remarkably.
