Abstract:The notorious issues of lithium (Li) dendrites growth and volume change hinders the practical application of Li metal anodes. LiF as a key component of the solid electrolyte interface (SEI) governs Li+ transport and deposition, yet the formation of LiF consumes the anions (PF6-/TFSI-) in the electrolyte, going against to the stable cycling of Li anodes. Herein, fluorine (F)-doped hollow carbon (FHC) is synthesized and used to construct a composite current collector with the FHC as a F-rich buffer layer for modifying the Cu foil. The F content provided by FHC not only mitigates the anions (PF6-/TFSI-) consumption, but also enhances the stability of SEI. The hollow structure of FHC with abundant internal space can accommodate deposited Li to relieve the volume change during cycling. Besides, the significantly improved specific surface area of electrode effectively reduce the local current density to achieve a homogeneous Li deposition. Due to the above cooperation, the symmetrical cell of Cu@FHC-Li||Cu@FHC-Li maintains stable cycling more than 1800 h with a hysteresis voltage of 19 mV. In addition, the full cell coupling with LiFePO4 cathode delivers excellent long-term cycling and rate performance. This work provides an effective route to develop stable Li metal anodes.

Locally Fluorinated Electrolyte Medium Layer for High-Performance Anode-Free Li-Metal Batteries.

Abstract:Low cycling Coulombic efficiency (CE) and messy Li dendrite growth problems have greatly hindered the development of anode-free Li-metal batteries (AFLBs). Thus, functional electrolytes for uniform lithium deposition and lithium/electrolyte side reaction suppression are desired. Here, we report a locally fluorinated electrolyte (LFE) medium layer surrounding Cu foils to tailor the chemical compositions of the solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) in AFLBs for inhibiting the immoderate Li dendrite growth and to suppress the interfacial reaction. This LFE consists of highly concentrated LiTFSI dissolved in a fluoroethylene carbonate and/or succinonitrile plastic mixture. The CE of Cu||LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 (NCM811) AFLB increased to a high level of 99% as envisaged, and the cycling ability was also highly improved. These improvements are facilitated by the formation of a uniform, dense, and LiF-rich SEI. LiF possesses high interfacial energy at the LiF/Li interface, resulting in a more uniform Li deposition process as proved by density functional theory (DFT) calculation results. This work provides a simple yet utility tech for the enhancement of future high-energy-density AFLBs.
Coupling a 3D Lithophilic Skeleton with a Fluorine-Enriched Interface to Enable Stable Lithium Metal Anode

Abstract:Lithium (Li) metal anode is known as a potential anode candidate for next-generation high-energy-density rechargeable batteries. Nevertheless, the challenge caused by the uncontrollable Li dendrites' growth and the fragile solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer seriously hinders the commercial application of Li metal batteries. Herein, we report a fluorine-enriched nitrogen-doped hollow carbon spheres decorated carbon fibers (FNCS@CF) skeleton which effectively integrates the uniformly distributed lithophilic sites and mechanically robust LiF-enriched SEI, thus endowing the composite Li metal anode with durable and dendrite-free features. The Li nucleation barrier is greatly reduced owing to the strong lithiophilicity characteristics of pyridinic/pyrrolic nitrogen. The fluorinated hollow carbon spheres can not only provide a powerful setting for Li deposition but can also promote the in situ formation of LiF-enriched SEI. As a result, the prepared FNCS@CF skeleton demonstrates excellent electrochemical performances such as ultrahigh average Coulombic efficiency of 99.6% over 240 cycles at 3 mA h cm-2 and remarkable cyclability (1300 h) with a low deposition overpotential of 10 mV. Furthermore, a FNCS@CF-Li|NCM full cell was also assembled which exhibits a prominent cycling stability and capacity retention even under simulated practical working conditions, i.e., low negative-to-positive capacity (N/P) ratio of 1.5 and lean electrolyte of 10 uL mAh-1.

Abstract:Li metal anode is one of the most promising anodes for next-generation high-energy-density batteries. However, some lethal challenges, such as Li dendrite, inferior coulombic efficiency, and infinite volume change during repeated Li plating/stripping restrict its practical application. Although carbon-based materials are ideal hosts for Li deposition, unsatisfied lithiophilic property and vulnerable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film still remain unsolved. Herein, we report the fluorinated mesoporous carbon (FMC) nanosheets derived from spent cathodic carbon of aluminum electrolysis as a versatile dendrite-free current collector. Two types of C-F bonds are discovered in FMC. One is C(sp2)-F, which serves as lithiophilic site for Li nucleation with reduced barrier. The other is C(sp3)-F, which breaks to produce extra LiF during Li deposition, facilitating the formation of stable LiF-rich SEI film. The synergistically designed |LiFePO4 full cells demonstrate improved cycling performance with high coulombic efficiency. This work provides possibility for direct utilization of waste electro-carbon in energy storage application.

Abstract:Lithium (Li) metal has to overcome key performance flaws before it can be used as the anode material for the next generation Li+ batteries. One of its major issues is Li dendrite growth and detachment, which causes safety issues and low Coulombic efficiency for Li metal batteries. Constructing a stable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) is considered to be the most straightforward solution to the Li anode interface defects. Here, we develop a facile stratagem of 2-(Fluorosulphonyl)difluoroacetic acid-treated Li foil to obtain a Li metal anode coated by the lithium fluoride and sulfide enriched composite layer (LiF/sulfide enriched Li). The experimental and theoretical simulations demonstrate that the ideal artificial SEI can induce uniform Li+ distribution at the interface and effectively inhibit dendrite growth. As results, the LiF/sulfide enriched Li symmetrical cells exhibit excellent cycling stability and low Li deposition overpotential, which maintain a low overpotential of ∼ 10 mV for over 1000 h at 1 mA cm−2 in an ether electrolyte of DME/DOL + LiTFSI and steadily cycles for 350 h in a carbonate electrolyte of EC/EMC + LiPF6. Furthermore, full cells assembled with NCM811 and sulfur cathode exhibit enhanced cyclability. This facile and controllable stratagem provides a more practical possibility for modifying the Li metal anode.

Abstract:The uncontrollable growth of Li dendrites and severe interfacial parasitic reactions on the Li anode are the primary obstacles to the practical application of lithium (Li) metal batteries. Effective artificial solid electrolyte interphase is capable of regulating uniform Li deposition and isolateing Li from electrolyte, thereby eliminating parasitic reactions. Herein, we rationally design a uniform LiF-dominated solid electrolyte interphase through an in-situ reaction between CaF2 nanoparticles and the Li anode, which allows dendrite-free Li deposition and restrains interfacial deterioration. Accordingly, the protective Li electrode demonstrated exceptional stability, sustaining over 6000 h at a current density of 2 mA cm-2 in symmetric cells and attaining over 1000 cycles with a low capacity decay rate of 0.015 % per cycle in coupling with LiFePO4 cathodes.

Abstract:Lithium metal (LM) is a promising anode for next-generation batteries due to its high theoretical capacity and low electrode potential. Nonetheless, side reactions, volume change, and unwanted lithium dendrite growth seriously limit the practical application of LM. Herein, with the aid of a hard template approach, a novel lithiophilic CoF 2 -carbon hollow sphere (CoF 2 @C-HS) composite material is successfully prepared via a facile in-situ fluorination and etching strategy. The lithiophilic CoF 2 acts as nucleation sites to reduce nucleation overpotential as well as induces the spatial Li deposition and the formation of LiF-rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI), and the hollow carbon matrix can enhance the electrical conductivity and offer free space for LM deposition. Theoretical simulations reveal that the synergistic effect of lithiophilic CoF 2 and hollow carbon matrix homogenizes the electric field distribution and Li + flux. Benefiting from these advantages, the CoF 2 @C-HS-modified copper substrate electrode delivers an enhanced Coulombic efficiency (CE) of 93.7% for 280 cycles at 1 mA cm −2 and 1 mA h cm −2 . The symmetrical cell using CoF 2 @C-HS can stably cycle more than 1800 h with a low voltage hysteresis of 11 mV at a current density of 0.5 mA cm −2 and an areal capacity of 0.5 mA h cm −2 . Moreover, the Li@CoF 2 @C-HS composite anode enables more than 300 stable cycles at 1 C with a capacity retention of 95% in LiFePO 4 -based full cell and 110 stable cycles at 1 C in LiNi 0.8 Co 0.1 Mn 0.1 O 2 (NCM811)-based high-voltage full cell. This work might shed a new light on designing lithiophilic hosts to spatially confine LM deposition, realizing dendrite-free LM anodes and the practical applications of LM batteries.

Abstract:A simple drop‐casting method is used to achieve an artificial solid electrolyte interface (SEI) for the anode of lithium metal batteries (LMB). Through simulations and experiments, the composite double‐layer (CDL) SEI composed of mesoporous TiO2 and F‐rich organic compound provides mechanical pressure and high ionic conductivity to achieve a high stability over an 800 h cycle of symmetric cells. The next generation of high‐energy‐density storage devices is expected to be rechargeable lithium metal batteries. However, unstable metal‐electrolyte interfaces, dendrite growth, and volume expansion will compromise lithium metal batteries (LMB) safety and life. A simple drop‐casting method is used to create a double‐layer functional interface composed of inorganic mesoporous TiO2 and F‐rich organics PFDMA. For high‐quality lithium deposition, TiO2 can provide uniform mechanical pressure, abundant mesoporous channels, and increased ionic conductivity, while PFDMA provides enough F to form LiF in the first cycle and improves Li‐electrolyte compatibility. Experiments and simulations are combined to investigate the optimized mechanism of the LiF‐rich solid electrolyte interface (SEI). The high binding energy of organic matter and Li demonstrates that Li+ preferentially binds with the F atom in organic matter. As a result, the tightly bound double‐layer structure can inhibit lithium dendrite growth and slow electrolyte decomposition. Consequently, the symmetric Li||Li cell has a high stability performance of over 800 h. The assembled LiFePO4||Li cell can sustain 300 cycles at a 1 C rate and has a reversible capacity of 136.7 mAh g−1.

Abstract:Lithium (Li) metal has been considered as an important substitute for the graphite anode to further boost the energy density of Li‐ion batteries. However, Li dendrite growth during Li plating/stripping causes safety concern and poor lifespan of Li metal batteries (LMB). Herein, fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) additives are used to form a LiF‐rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). The FEC‐induced SEI layer is compact and stable, and thus beneficial to obtain a uniform morphology of Li deposits. This uniform and dendrite‐free morphology renders a significantly improved Coulombic efficiency of 98% within 100 cycles in a Li | Cu half‐cell. When the FEC‐protected Li metal anode matches a high‐loading LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 (NMC) cathode (12 mg cm−2), a high initial capacity of 154 mAh g−1 (1.9 mAh cm−2) at 180.0 mA g−1 is obtained. This LMB with conversion‐type Li metal anode and intercalation‐type NMC cathode affords an emerging energy storage system to probe the energy chemistry of Li metal protection and demonstrates the material engineering of batteries with very high energy density. Fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) additive is used to form a LiF‐rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). The FEC‐induced SEI layer is compact and stable, and therefore beneficial to obtain a uniform morphology of Li deposits. When the FEC‐protected Li metal anode matches a high‐loading oxide cathode, a high initial capacity and stable cycling are achieved.

Abstract:The practical application of lithium metal batteries is considered to be one of the most promising successors for lithium-ion batteries due to their ability to meet the high-energy storage demands of modern society. However, their application is still hindered by the unstable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) and uncontrollable dendrite growth. In this study, we propose a robust composite SEI (C-SEI) that consists of a fluorine doped boron nitride (F-BN) inner layer and an organic polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) outer layer. Both theoretical calculations and experimental results demonstrate that the F-BN inner layer induces the formation of favourable components (LiF and Li3N) at the interface, promoting rapid ionic transport and inhibiting electrolyte decomposition. The PVA outer layer acts as a flexible buffer in the C-SEI, ensuring the structural integrity of the inorganic inner layer during lithium plating and stripping. The C-SEI modified lithium anode shows a dendrite-free performance and stable cycle over 1200 h, with an ultralow overpotential (15 mV) at 1 mA cm-2 in this study. This novel approach also enhances the stability of capacity retention rate by 62.3% after 100 cycles even in anode-free full cells (C-SEI@Cu||LFP). Our findings suggest a feasible strategy for addressing the instability inherent in SEI, showing great prospects for the practical application of lithium metal batteries.
High Interfacial-Energy Interphase Promoting Safe Lithium Metal Batteries.

Abstract:Engineering a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) is critical for suppression of lithium dendrites. However, the formation of a desired SEI by formulating electrolyte composition is very difficult due to complex electrochemical reduction reactions. Here, instead of trial-and-error of electrolyte composition, we design a Li-11 wt % Sr alloy anode to form a SrF2-rich SEI in fluorinated electrolytes. Density functional theory (DFT) calculation and experimental characterization demonstrate that a SrF2-rich SEI has a large interfacial energy with Li metal and a high mechanical strength, which can effectively suppress the Li dendrite growth by simultaneously promoting the lateral growth of deposited Li metal and the SEI stability. The Li-Sr/Cu cells in 2 M LiFSI-DME show an outstanding Li plating/stripping Coulombic efficiency of 99.42% at 1 mA cm-2 with a capacity of 1 mAh cm-2 and 98.95% at 3 mA cm-2 with a capacity of 2 mAh cm-2, respectively. The symmetric Li-Sr/Li-Sr cells also achieve a stable electrochemical performance of 180 cycles at an extremely high current density of 30 mA cm-2 with a capacity of 1 mAh cm-2. When paired with LiFePO4 (LFP) and LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 (NCM811) cathodes, Li-Sr/LFP cells in 2 M LiFSI-DME electrolytes and Li-Sr/NMC811 cells in 1 M LiPF6 in FEC:FEMC:HFE electrolytes also maintain excellent capacity retention. Designing SEIs by regulating Li-metal anode composition opens up a new and rational avenue to suppress Li dendrites.

Abstract:Li metal anodes are considered among the most ideal candidates for next generation batteries owing to their lowest electrochemical potential and high theoretical capacity. However, the highly reactive Li metal is subject to continuous side reactions with conventional carbonate electrolytes. The resulting unsatisfying solid electrolyte interface (SEI) induces severe Li dendritic growth. Therefore, there is an urgent need to effectively control the components of SEI to solve the electrolyte/anode interface electrochemical instability. Herein, LiDFP and LiNO3 are introduced into the electrolyte to modulate the composition of the SEI. Owing to the lower lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy levels of LiDFP and LiNO3 relative to those of the solvents, LiDFP and LiNO3 have preferential reducibility and thus generate a stable SEI containing LiF and Li3N, which has swift ion migration kinetics and homogeneous Li deposition behaviors. As a result, our electrolyte modified by additives enables the anode to achieve an excellent coulombic efficiency of 98% and exhibits an ultra-long cycling life of over 700 h in symmetrical cells. Li metal full cells paired with the LFP or NCM811 cathode also have excellent long cycling performance. This work demonstrates that additive-modified electrolytes are a viable and simple strategy for the evolution of Li metal batteries. The SEI formation mechanism in the absence/presence of LiDFP and LiNO3 additives.

Abstract:Lithium metal is highly favored as an ideal anode material in future high-capacity lithium batteries due to its appealing properties. Nevertheless, the implementation of lithium metal batteries (LMBs) is severely plagued by challenges such as instable solid electrolyte interface (SEI), uncontrolled growth of dendrite, and severe volume expansion. Herein, to address the aforementioned issues, an artificial SEI layer is fabricated, which is comprised of LixSi alloy and Li3N. The in-situ generated LixSi/Li3N interface is formed on the carbon fiber (denoted as CF/LixSi/Li3N) through a spontaneous reaction between molten Li and Si3N4. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal that LixSi alloy has low ion diffusion energy barrier, which facilitates the low nucleation overpotential of Li+ and enables homogeneous lithium deposition. Li3N can further promote the rapid Li+ transport due to the excellent Li+ conductivity. In addition, the reserved 3D space effectively mitigates the volume change along cycling procedure. Owing to the synergistic effect of the LixSi/Li3N protective layer and the 3D structure, the composite anode shows higher cycling stability with a lifetime of more than 3000 cycles at 1 mA cm-2. Furthermore, matched with commercial LiFePO4 (LFP) and LiNi5Co2Mn3O2 (NCM523) cathodes, the full cells also exhibit impressive electrochemical properties. This work introduces an ingenious approach for constructing stable lithium metal anodes and effective lithium metal batteries.

Abstract:Lithium metal is considered to be the "holy grail" electrode due to its high theoretical energy density and low potential. However, the growth of lithium dendrites and the high reactivity of Li metal to the electrolyte result in a poor Coulombic efficiency and raise safety concerns for lithium-metal batteries (LMBs). Herein we attempt to integrate an artificial solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) and regulate Li+ flow through an organic-inorganic composite interfacial film (CIF) with a LiF-rich inner side and a polymer-rich outer side. The as-prepared CIF is tightly bound to the surface of Li metal through a facile and cost-effective strategy. The LiF-rich side (near the Li metal) renders a high surface energy and exhibits a low Li+ diffusion barrier, ensuring uniform lithium growth and hindering parasitic side reactions between the Li metal and the electrolyte. The polymer-rich outer side provides excellent compatibility with the electrolyte, considerable Li+ conductivity, and mechanical support to accommodate possible mechanical stress during battery processing. The CIF regulates Li deposition and protects Li from the corrosive electrolyte, resulting in dendrite-free and highly reversible Li-metal anodes. It exhibits superior cyclic stability during 500 h of Li plating/stripping processes under a high current density of 3 mA cm(-2). Dendrite-free lithium deposition enabled by interfacial regulation via dipole-dipole interaction in anode-free lithium metal batteries

Abstract:The structure and composition of solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) on lithium (Li) electrode surface dictate Li plating/stripping behavior in Li metal batteries (LMBs), which is determined by the solvation structure of Li + ion in the electrolyte. Herein, it is found that the dipole-dipole interaction between the electron-deficient boron (B) site in 3-(trifluoromethyl) phenylboronic acid (FBA) molecule and the TFSI − anion is capable of reducing the reduction stability of the TFSI − anion, and meanwhile promoting the participation of abundant TFSI − anions in the solvation sheath of Li + ion in the electrolyte. Moreover, as an anion receptor, the FBA molecule with strong anionic affinity effectively enhances the contribution of NO 3 − anions in forming the SEI. Therefore, a favorable interphase enriched with LiF and Li 3 N is successfully constructed on the surface of Li electrode, which presents high mechanical strength, high Li + ion conductivity and electronic insulation. As a result, Li plating/stripping reversibility can extend to over 1200 h with a low polarization potential of 42 mV in this anion receptor modified electrolyte. And the as-assembled anode-free Cu||LFP full cells can deliver excellent capacity retention of above 73.6% after 180 cycle.

Abstract:As the holy-grail material, the Li-metal anode has been considered the potential anode of the next generation of Li-metal batteries (LMBs). However, issues of undesirable dendrite growth and unsatisfactory reversibility of the Li-plating/stripping process during the electrochemical cycling impede further application of LMBs. Herein, we innovatively introduce fluorinated graphene (F-Gr) species as a sacrificial effective electrolyte additive into EC/EMC-based electrolyte, which effectively triggers LiF-enriched (composition) and organic/inorganic species uniform-distributed (structure) SEI film architecture that features robustness and denseness, as well as good stability. With the F-Gr additive, efficient Li-metal anode protection (dendrite-free morphology on Li-metal surface and improved Li plating/stripping reversibility during electrochemical cycling) and significantly enhanced long-term lifespan of LMBs is achieved. Remarkably, classical electrochemical techniques, combined with the surface-sensitive characterizations (XPS and TOF-SIMS), comprehensively and systematically highlight critical structure–activity relationships between the SEI architecture (both composition and structure) and electrochemical performance. These techniques provide deep insights into the optimal electrolyte designation of Li-metal anode in LMBs.

Abstract:Lithium–sulfur (Li–S) cells have been regarded as attractive alternatives to achieve higher energy densities because of their theoretical specific energy far beyond the lithium-ion cells. However, the achieved results of Li–S cells are exaggerating the cycle performance in their pouch formats because the considerable works are based on the coin cells where flood electrolyte and endless Li supply ensure the Li metal with nature structure features, resulting in a negligible effect on cycle performance caused by the Li dendrites and electrolyte dissipation during cycles. Herein, we demonstrate a strategy to enable the Li metal with lithium fluoride (LiF)-rich solid electrolyte interface via integrating a reinforced interface (RI) embedded with nano-LiF particles on the surface of the Li metal anode. The RI interface enables the solvent molecules of the electrolyte to gain fewer electrons from Li anode, resulting in a lower leakage current of assembled RI||Li–S cell ( 0 μA) than pristine Li anode ( 1.15 µA). Moreover, these results show that suppressing lithium dendrite growth is more urgent than inhibiting the shuttle effect of polysulfides in the pouch cell format. As a result, the RI layer-engineered Li metal bears witness to the cyclic stability of Li anode over 800 h, thus achieving stable cycles of Ah-scale Li–S pouch cell with an energy density of 410 Wh/kg at a current of 200 mA per cell. Our study demonstrates that the suppression of lithium dendrites by the RI could be a promising method to prolong the cycle number of Li–S pouch cells.

Abstract:Metallic lithium preferentially deposits at the top of protrusions due to the tip effect during the lithium deposition process, ultimately leading to the formation of lithium dendrites. The Lorentz force, induced by the introduction of ferromagnetic CoF2 as an internal micromagnetic field, regulates the dynamic trajectory of Li+ deposition, which can avoid the tip deposition associated with dendrite growth, promote the uniform distribution of lithium‐ion flux and deep plating ability, and finally extend cycle life. Currently, the realization of controllable Li electrodeposits to further extend the cycling life of Li metal anode remains challenging. Herein, it is reported that carbon nanosheet array‐loaded ferromagnetic CoF2 nanoparticles on carbon cloth (CC@CoF2/C) as an internal micro‐magnetic field source to manipulate the dynamic trajectory of Li+ deposition via the magnetohydrodynamic effect. This approach ensures uniform lithium‐ion distribution and improves deep plating capacity, achieving a prolonged cycle life of the dendrite‐free Li anode. Finite element simulations, in situ characterizations, and electrochemical tests confirm that magnetic CoF2 not only guides Li+ migration through Lorentz force to prevent dendritic growth but also improves uniform Li deposition due to the in situ conversion of LiF‐rich solid electrolyte interphase during electroplating. Meanwhile, a CC@CoF2/C‐based half‐cell operates stably over 10 000 h at 1 mA cm−2 with a low 7.8 mV overpotential. When matched with a commercial LiFePO4 cathode, the full cell reveals a high capacity of 122.96 mAh g−1 at a 2 C rate after 1000 cycles, retaining 91.95% capacity. The proposed strategy can be effectively expanded and adapted to investigate the deposition behavior of a wide range of metal anodes, offering a versatile and robust analytical framework for addressing diverse metal‐based electrochemical systems.

Ultrathin LiF-rich solid electrolyte interphase for stable long-life cycling stabilization of lithium metal anodes

Abstract:Lithium-metal anodes have attracted widespread attention owing to their high specific capacity. However, they still suffer from poor stability under high-rate cycling and safety issues, which are mainly induced by the significant growth of Li dendrites and the collapse of the solid electrolyte interphase during extended cycling. Effective protective coatings can withstand severe environmental corrosion during handling and cycling. In this study, we develop a convenient and controllable surface fluorination process to develop a dense and uniform ultrathin lithium fluoride (LiF) protective coating on the Li metal surface by vacuum evaporation. Advanced comprehensive analyses demonstrate that the 200 nm-thick LiF protective coating provides sufficient Li ion transmission channels for efficient transport. This reinforces the structural integrity to withstand volume changes during Li plating/stripping. The highly conformal LiF protective coating minimizes corrosion reactions with carbonate electrolytes and inhibits dendrite formation. Dendrite-free deposition is realized at a high current density of 3 mA cm -2 . LiF@Li|LiFePO 4 full cells with a 200 nm LiF-coated Li anode exhibit up to 85.31% capacity retention over 600 cycles. Stable Li deposition is achieved for 1200 h under lean electrolyte conditions using a 200-nm LiF-coated Li anode. The developed protective coating shows excellent stabilizing effects on Li anodes and is expected to facilitate the optimization and practical application of Li metal anodes with sufficient interphase stability.
