Abstract:With the advancement of technology, we have entered the Information Age. The arrival of the Information Revolution has liberated human productivity, but it has not led to a reduction in working hours. A significant number of white-collar office workers need to spend considerable time sitting in front of computers, and the detrimental work habits, such as prolonged sedentary behavior, seriously jeopardize the physical and mental well-being of employees. This paper examines the concept of workmicro-breaks as a theoretical framework and aims to establish a work-rest balance for users through digital means and user-centric interactive applications. Building upon existing productivity applications, we incorporate novel interactive methods to enhance the mandatory nature of reminders and the enjoyable aspects of user habits, ultimately achieving equilibrium between work and rest, fostering positivework-rest routines, maintaining the physical and mental health of workers, and improving overall work efficiency.
