Abstract:(Cancer Cell 19, 541–555; April 12, 2011) It has come to our attention that an error was made in the assembly of Figures 3D, 3E, 5E, 5F , and Figure S7H, resulting in the incorporation of incorrect representative images in these figures. We also note an error in Table 1 that leads to the inclusion of incorrect data in lines 3 and 4. The corrected figures and Table 1 are shown below. A corrected version of the online supplemental data is now available online at doi:10.1016/j.ccr.2011.02.006. Here, we show that breast TAMs abundantly produce CCL18, and its expression in blood or cancer stroma is associated with metastasis and reduced patient survival. CCL18 released by breast TAMs promotes the invasiveness of cancer cells by triggering integrin clustering and enhancing their adherence to extracellular matrix. Furthermore, we identify PITPNM3 as a functional receptor for CCL18 that mediates CCL18 effect and activates intracellular calcium signaling. Full-Text PDF Open Archive
