Abstract:In this review, we summarized the recent advances in the construction strategy of MOF-based photocatalyst in CO2 reduction. The main strategies are classified into four categories: (1) the modification of metal sites and organic ligands in MOFs; (2) the incorporation of semiconductor/metal materials into MOFs leading to the formation of heterojunctions; (3) single/dual-atom introduced into MOFs to regulate the band configuration of the host material; (4) the electronic structure can be regulated by strain engineering on the catalyst surface. Finally, the future development of MOF material catalysts was prospected.
