Abstract:In the present paper, one new genus and a new species of Idiocerinae are described. All the specimens are deposited in the Entomological Meseum, Northwest Science and Technology University of Agriculture and Forestry. The new genus Longicauda is similar to the genus Idioscopus.

Abstract:One new genus and species, Paramacrosteles nigromaculatus gen. et sp. nov. of subfamily Euscelinae is described from China, and is placed in Macrostelini. The genus is similar to Macrosteles Fieber in general appearance, but can be distinguished from the latter by having the aedeagus at apex with two paired fork-shape projections. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China. (IEGUC).

Abstract:A new genus Maculaprosbole of Tettigarctidae with a new species M. zhengi is described based on a complete fossil forewing from the Mesozoic of northeastern China. Due to its broad costal area and clavus, Maculaprosbole zhengi gen. et sp. n. can be attributed to the subfamily Cicadoprosbolinae. This genus is similar to the genera Sanmai and Hirtaprosbole in coloration pattern and forewing venation, respectively. However, it differs from Hirtaprosbole in crossvein r-m absent and apical CuA section strongly curved, running along the nodal line for a distance, and Sanmai in transverse coloration mainly focusing on the postnodal area. Herein, the prominent coloration pattern of this new taxon is discussed.

The new species is a valuable addition to the 14 species of this genus in China known before. A diagnosis, detailed description, including the structure of its immature stages, illustrations, and the distribution of the new species are provided.

Abstract:Satsumanus Ishihara is a small leafhopper genus in tribe Opsiini with six described species, and each have a very restricted biogeographical distribution in the Australian, Oriental and Palearctic regions. The species Satsumanus satsumae (Matsumura) is recorded for the first time from Zhejiang Province, and a new species Satsumanus discedens sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Guizhou Province, China. The digital photographs of adult male habitus and male genitalia are provided. An updated checklist, global distribution map and taxonomic identification key to known species are provided. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).

Abstract:Angusta gen. n. is erected in the cicada tribe Leptopsaltriini Moulton, 1923, and one new species, Angusta fangtingyui sp. n. , is described from China. The relationship of this new genus to related taxa is discussed based on morphology and the phylogeny of Angusta fangtingyui gen. & sp. n. and representative species of subtribes Puranina, Leptopsaltriina, Euterpnosiina and Leptosemiina, which was reconstructed based on the concatenated dataset of three genes ( COI + EF-1α + ARD1 ). Accordingly, Angusta gen. n. is assigned to Euterpnosiina of Leptopsaltriini.

Abstract:A new leafhopper genus Sugea gen. nov. is described and illustrated here based on type species Sugea obtusangula sp. nov. from Yunnan Province, China, and placed in the tribe Dikraneurini (subfamily Typhlocybinae). Sugea is easily distinguishable from all other known dikraneurine genera based on the angulate face profile with a distinct submarginal furrow present along the anterior and lateral margins.

Abstract:The genus Macrosemia Kato, 1925 (Hemiptera, Cicadidae, Cicadinae, Dundubiini, Dundubiina) currently includes 16 species (excluding subspecies and varieties), mainly occurring in the Oriental Region. More than half of them, 10 species, are known from China, including one new species, described in the present study. A new species of cicada, Macrosemia fengi Wang sp. nov. , is described from Yunnan and Guizhou, southwest China. Colour plates are presented to illustrate its diagnostic characters. The distribution map of the new species is also given.

Abstract:The taxonomy of the hylicine genus Hatigoria Distant is reviewed based on morphological study of the types and other specimens. The male external morphology and genitalia of two known species, H. praeiens Distant, 1908 and H. sauteri Jacobi, 1914, are described and photographed for the first time. A description and figures of the female ovipositor of H. praeiens Distant, 1908 are provided. One new species, H. longistylia n. sp., from Laos and China is reported with descriptions and figures. This also represents the first record of the genus Hatigoria from Laos. A key to adult males of all species is provided.

Abstract:Two new armoured scale insect species (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Diaspididae) are described and illustrated from Guizhou Province, China. Aulacaspis pericampylus sp. n. was collected from Pericampylus glaucus (Menispermaceae) and Aulacaspis multispinata sp. n. was collected from Cinnamomum camphora (Lauraceae). The type specimens of both new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).
