Abstract:The asymptotic stability and the switching strate gy are studied in this paper for discrete switched systems with time delay subsys tems. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, two different sufficient conditions ar e derived via LMI approach for the asymptotic stability under arbitrary switchin g. Furthermore, this paper develops the convex combination conditions for asympt otic stability of such systems and gives the way to choose switching strategy. T he simulation result proves the validity of the designed switching strategy.

In superlinear and sublinear cases, necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the difference equation to admit the existence of nonoscillatory solutions with special asymptotic properties.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of neutral stochastic differential systems with variable delays and give sufficient conditions to ensure that the zero solution is asymptotically stable in the mean square by means of a generalisation of Banach's contraction principle. These conditions do not require the boundedness of delays, nor do they ask for a fixed sign on the coefficient functions. The results are shown to improve the previous globally stable results derived in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of third-order nonlinear delay dynamic equations. First, we establish a Kiguradze-type lemma and some useful estimates. Second, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for the existence of eventually positive solutions having upper bounds and tending to zero. Third, we obtain new oscillation criteria by employing the Pötzsche chain rule. Then, using the generalized Riccati transformation technique and averaging method, we establish the Philos-type oscillation criteria. Surprisingly, the integral value of the Philos-type oscillation criteria, which guarantees that all unbounded solutions oscillate, is greater than θ4(t1, T). The results of Theorem 3.5 and Remark 3.6 are novel. Finally, we offer four examples to illustrate our results.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a non-linear stochastic differential delay equation (SDDE) of second order. We derive new sufficient conditions which guarantee stochastically stability and stochastically asymptotically stability of the zero solution of that SDDE. Here, the technique of the proof is based on the definition of a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, which gives meaningful results for the problem under consideration. The derived results extend and improve some result of in the relevant literature, which are related to the qualitative properties of solutions of a SDDE of second order. The results of this paper are new and have novelty, and they do a contribution to the topic and relevant literature. As an application, an example is given to show the effectiveness and applicability of the obtained results. Finally, by the results of this paper, we extend and improve some recent results that can be found in the relevant literature.

Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems

Abstract:Many phenomena in nature can be described by establishing differential equation models. To be more practical, we extend the instantaneous impulsive delay differential equations proposed by Faria and Oliveira to the non-instantaneous impulsive delay differential equations. This paper proposes a class of non-instantaneous impulsive delay differential equations which satisfy Yorke-type condition. With the help of the definitions of stability, sufficient conditions for stability and the global asymptotic stability of the zero solution of this model are given. Finally, we give some examples and numerical simulations.

Abstract:Abstract The oscillation theory of differential equations is an important branch of performance of differential equations, which is widely used in engineering control, vibration mechanics, mechanics, and industry. Therefore, the vibration performance of different parts has attracted people’s attention, and a lot of research work has been done. For a special class of delay differential equations - advanced piecewise continuous differential equations, the oscillation of numerical solution is discussed. The θ − method is used to discretize the equation, and the numerical method is obtained to keep the oscillation of the analytical solution of the equation, progressive conditions. At the same time, four different states of the dynamic behavior are discussed in detail for the analytical solution and the numerical solution respectively. Some numerical examples further verify the corresponding conclusions.

Abstract:In this paper, we study asymptotic stability of the zero solution of a class of differential systems governed by a scalar differential inequality with time-varying structures and delays. We establish a new generalized Halanay inequality for the asymptotic stability of the zero solution for such systems under more relaxed conditions than the existing ones. We also apply the theoretical results to the analysis of self synchronization in networks of delayed differential systems and obtain a more general sufficient condition for self synchronization.

Abstract:This paper is mainly concerned with the existence of chaos in a class of controlled partial difference equations via delay controllers. Using the snap-back repeller theory, four criteria of chaos in the sense of both Devaney and Li-Yorke in this system are established when the equation and the controller satisfy several relatively weak conditions. Moreover, two examples with computer simulations of their dynamical behaviors and the trends of the largest Lyapunov exponents with the initial values and parameters are discussed to illustrate the correctness of the theoretical results.

Abstract:This study is involved with a class of three-dimensional system of difference equations incorporating quadratic term, which naturally extends and improve several results in the literature. Firstly, we demonstrate the existence of fixed points, the boundedness, persistence and invariance of positive solution of the mentioned system. Later, for this system, we give the global asymptotic stability at fixed point and the rate of convergence result which play an important role in the discrete dynamical systems. And lastly, some numerical examples are given to validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical findings.

Abstract:This paper investigates the problem of the stability analysis for fractional-order nonlinear systems. First, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of the system solution by discussing the positive limiting set for fractional-order systems. Then, sufficient conditions for the attraction of equilibrium point are obtained and these conditions lead to a corresponding asymptotic stability criterion. Moreover, by considering a constraint on Lyapunov functions, a criterion for globally asymptotic stability is derived as well. Finally, two illustrative examples are given to show the applicability of the proposed method.

Abstract:In this article, the problem of stability is investigated for a class of hybrid time-delay systems with double degrees. The systems consist of both discrete and continuous subsystems that have homogeneity and nonzero degrees. Conditions are derived to guarantee the preasymptotic stability of the systems. The relationships of solutions are established between the systems with different sizes using homogeneous properties. Then, equivalent conditions are presented for the analysis of preasymptotic stability. Furthermore, necessary and sufficient delay-independent conditions are developed to analyze the stability of the systems. Finally, two examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed new stability analysis methods.

Abstract:This paper aims to derive analytical expressions for solutions of fractional bidimensional systems of difference equations with higher-order terms under specific parametric conditions. Additionally, formulations of solutions for one-dimensional equations derived from these systems are explored. Furthermore, rigorous proof is provided for the local stability of the unique positive equilibrium point of the proposed systems. The theoretical findings are validated through numerical examples using MATLAB, facilitating graphical illustrations of the results.
