Abstract:Objective:To study the relationship between serum and urinary Collagen Ⅳ(Col-Ⅳ), Laminin(LN) and renal pathology in glomerulonephritis patients with the normal renal function.Methods:(1)Serum and urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN were measured respectively by two-layer antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunoad sorbent assay(ELISA) method in 67 chronic glomerulonephritis patients with the normal renal function and 20 healthy controls.Results:(1)Compared with healthy controls, Serum and urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN significantly increased (P<0.05) in chronic glomerulonephritis patients; (2)Compared with healthy controls, serum and urinary LN significantly increased in Ⅲ and Ⅳ degree groups (P<0.05). There was correlation between the degree of mesangial cell proliferation and serum Col-Ⅳ (P<0.05).(3)Compared with healthy controls, Serum and urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN in all groups of mesangial matrix proliferations significantly increased(P<0.05).There was correlation between the degree of mesangial basement proliferation and urinary Col-Ⅳ(P<0.05).(4)Compared with healthy controls, Serum and urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN significantly increased in 10～25% glomerulosclerosis group (P<0.05).There was negative correlation between glomerulosclerosis and serum LN (P<0.05).(5)There was negative correlation between degrees of tubulointerstitial fibrosis and urinary Col-Ⅳ (P< 0.01).6.Compared with healthy controls, urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN in tubular atrophy≤10% group significantly increased (P<0.01).Compared with healthy controls, Serum Col-Ⅳ in tubular atrophy 6～10% group and 11～25% group significantly increased (P< 0.01).Compared with non-tubular atrophy and tubular atrophy ≤5% and tubular atrophy 6～10%group, Urinary Col-Ⅳ significantly decreased (P<0.05). (7) There was positive correlation between serum Col-Ⅳ and LN (P<0.01).There was positive correlation between urinary Col-Ⅳ and urinary LN(P< 0.01).But there was no correlation between serum and urinary Col-Ⅳ , there was no correlation between serum and urinary LN either.Conclusion:(1) Serum Col-Ⅳ and LN, urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN were higher in chronic glomerulonephritis patients with the normal renal function than those of healthy controls.(2)Serum Col-Ⅳ and LN, urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN can reflect renal pathology.There was correlation with degree of mesangial matrix proliferations,tubulointerstitial fibrosis and glomerulosclerosis. Serum Col-Ⅳ and LN mainly reflect metabolism activation of Col-Ⅳ and LN; There was close correlation with mesangialcell proliferation. There was close correlation between urinary Col-Ⅳ, LN and matrix proliferation, tubulointerstitial fibrosis. Serum and urinary Col-Ⅳ and LN is useful markers for monitoring renal fibrosis.
