Abstract:Butachlor is one of the three largest produced and used herbicides in our country.This study was made to find out the optimunm degrading conditions of butachlor in environmental water.Effects of pH,water and temperature on degradation of butachlor was examined using orthogonal experimental design.The results showed that temperature is the most important environmental factor of butachlor degradation.The degrading rate of butachlor increases with the temperature going up.H+ and OH- were also known to catalyse the degradation of butachlor,and so degradation of butachlor in acidic or alkaline was easier.There were few differences of degradation rate of butachlor in river water,grounder water and deionized water.
