Abstract:Objective To investigate and analyse the program objective and curriculum system of preventive medicine undergraduate major,and provide basis for the curriculum system reform. Methods Two hundred and twenty-five medical professionals or teachers in Shanghai were investigated with questionnaires,which were concerned with aspects of program objective,curriculum system,teaching contents and teaching methods of preventive medicine undergraduate major.Results 63.6% of participants believed that the current program objective of preventive medicine undergraduate major could meet the actual demand of public health undertakings,and 44.4% pointed out that 40% to 60% of knowledge learned from colleges could be utilized in work.83.6% of participants recommended to adopt an integrated design of experiment,91.5 % agreed to open more optional courses,55.1% proposed to go on a field trip to Center for Disease Control or Department of Health Supervision for at least 6 months,more than 60% suggested to offer courses such as community medicine,communication and behavioral science,91.6% advised to participate in the field investigations,and 87.6% and 67.1% offered to enrich the classes with case analysis and multimedia,respectively. Conclusion The program objective and curriculum system of preventive medicine undergraduate major should be regulated to fit the changes in medical modes and effectively solve the problems of public health.
Investigation of nurses' scientific research competency and training demand in Chinese tertiary hospitals

Abstract:Objective To investigate nurses' scientific research competency and training demand in Chinese tertiary hospital.Methods It was a multi-stage large-scale survey.A total of 27 335 nurses from 22 provinces/autonomous regions/municipalities were recruited to complete the self-designed questionnaire,including demographic data(7 items),scientific research competency(objective index of 4 items,and subjective index of 6 subscales with 40 items),and training demand evaluation(6 subscales with 16 items).Results There were 1 130(4.14％) nurses who had managed or were managing the research projects as principal investigators(PIs),2 147(7.85％)nurses who had attended or were attending research programs,1 463(5.35％) nurses had published papers,and 557(2.04％) nurses obtained patents.The self-evaluated competency score was 25.00 (12.50,37.50)(rangedfrom 0 to 100)and training demand score was 53.13(37.50,75.00)(ranged from 0 to 100).Conclusion The nurses' scientific research competency should be improved and they had strong training demands.In order to improve nurses' research competency and quality,nursing administrators should pay more attention to post-graduate training focusing on research competency.

Abstract:Objective Exploring ways to construct distance nursing education system on the bachelor level based on nurses' job requirements.Methods Keep to the career development logical pattern "from novice to expert",and curriculum model of systematic work flow design,also being called the work-learning integration,design a new major curriculum system.Results The new curriculum design managed to integrate current basic courses and professional courses.Courses are transformed by taken fully consideration of job practices and requirements.A larger proportion of selective courses credits will meet various demands from students.Conclusions The new major curriculum design proves that organizing and teaching courses by following career development pattern,rather than traditional subject system,serves the purpose of continuing learning for on-the-job students.This curriculum design model is in need of further practice and improvements.

Abstract:Traditional specialty system,which plays an important role in China's higher education,is characterized by closeness,inflexibility and substantiality.It is the product of the era of little science,selective higher education and planned economy,which is now no longer suitable for the new period of big science,popularization of higher education and market economy.Therefore,this system is in urgent need of reform,which needs to relocate specialty's functions and nature,change the specialty entity schema,return to the standard of knowledge and ability integration,and establish sound specialty setting system and innovative mechanism so as to improve the flexible combination of courses and increase the individuality and flexibility of specialty.

Abstract:Objective To understand the present situation of humanistic quality education for nursing students, analyze the existing problems, put forward the corresponding countermeasures and reform the nursing humanistic quality education. Methods Choose 700 students from grade 2010, 2011, 2012 Major in Nursing of Science and Technology College of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine by random sampling methods to conduct a questionnaire survey, there were 654 students who actually participated in the study. Results The school leaders, teachers and students pay not enough attention to the humanistic quality education; The curriculum of humanities quality education is unreasonable; the ways and methods of humanistic quality education are single; the humanistic quality education lacks the influence of the campus humanistic environment; the humanistic quality of nursing teachers is weak; the examination and evaluation of the humanistic quality education system is not perfect. In view of the present situation, the research group put forward the following strategies: Change educational concept, improve the importance of humanistic quality education; reform of nursing curriculum, highlight the characteristics of humanistic quality education; reform the teaching methods of Humanities, enrich the ways of humanistic quality education; create a strong atmosphere of humanistic quality education, highlight the function of campus culture; improve the teachers’ humanistic quality, enroll more clinic doctors who have teaching experience into the teaching staff; reform the evaluation methods of humanistic quality education, construct a scientific and reasonable evaluation system of humanistic quality education. Conclusions In order to deliver more humanistic qualified nurses to the hospital, nursing education should keep pace with the times, renewing educational ideas constantly, reform personnel training mode, attach importance to the integration of professional education and humanistic education, strive to improve the comprehensive quality of nursing students. Abstract:The traditional subject-centered nursing curriculum and pedagogy can hardly ift in the distance learning. Based on the principles of adult learning and professional development of nurses, The School of Distance Learning for Medical Education (SDLME) launched teaching reform of online nurse training, a series of curriculum wereput into practice. The curriculum displayed superiority of distance learning, combined theory with clinical practice, which could provide theoretical and practical implication to improve nursing distance education in China.

Abstract:Objective To design nursing occupational safety and health curriculum reasonably.Methods With a semi-structured interview outline,focus group interviews among eight clinical nursing and nursing education specialists were conducted to develop the occupational safety and health curriculum design.Results It was important to set up nursing occupational safety and health curriculum.The main object,contents,teaching and evaluation methods were identified.Conclusions Occupational safety and health curriculum can be involved in nursing curriculum system to reduce occupational hazards and maintain physical and mental health of nursing students.

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the schooling model of foreign-concerned nursing education in university of Chinese Medicine and to provide the reference for the construction of this specialty. Method:Questionnaire was developed based on the theoretical study, literature review and focus group panel meeting. Experts from 23 Schools of Nursing in the universities of Chinese Medicine were consulted. Result:The Competency of Standard for Bachelors in Nursing were developed, as well as the advice on curriculum design. Conclusion:In order to ensure the quality of education,the educational mission should be standardized, competency of undergraduate students should be deifned, core curriculum should be added, language learning and practice ability should be consolidated and the ability of foreign-concerned nursing practice should be enhanced. This research may provide the comprehensive suggestions for schooling model development of this specialty.

Abstract:Objective: The purpose of this study was to establish a set of specifications for position settings and responsibilities of community nurses which are suitable for the current status of community health services, and could be easily applied in actual operation, then provide specific and clear guidance to community nurses. Methods: Interview, observation and typical case study were used to investigate the status of position settings and responsibilities of community nurses. Interview, questionnaire and expert appraisal method were used to establish proposals for position settings and responsibilities of community nurses. Results: Currently, the classifications of the work positions of community nurses had not been standardized; position settings were not conducive to the completion of community nursing works. Position responsibilities were not explicit, and division of work with other professionals was not clear. Conclusion: Targeted at the core mission of community health services, we recommend community nurses positions could be divided into two categories: general nurse and public health nurse positions. The recommended ratio of general practitioners to general nurses is 1:(2~3); and public health physicians to public health nurse is 1:1.

Abstract:The author has analyzed the pros and cons of the Chinese nursing human resource management under international environment.The potential hidden trouble which related to the quality of health care was highlighted under the current status of nurse shortage and a high rate of nurse demission in China.The author suggested that if we ignored the issues of nursing human resources in the new health care reform,it would directly affect the quality and safety of health care,and ultimately influence the social harmony,which is the initial intention of the new health care reform.

Abstract:Objective To explore the evaluation of effects of specialist nursing practice from the perspective of nursing managers in Shanghai.Methods A total of 8 nursing directors were recruited and interviewed by semi-structured interview method.Results Nursing directors believed that the roles and function of specialist nurses were recognized currently,and specialist nursing practice could solve difficult problems in nursing specialty,promote teamwork,realize the value of nursing profession,and further promote the development of nursing discipline,but it also highlighted the problem of unbalance development of specialist nursing practice.Conclusion It is necessary and feasible to develop specialist nursing practice at present,but also it is necessary to standardize it.

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the research hotspots and trends of nursing scenario simulation teaching at home and abroad, and to provide reference for future nursing talent education. Methods: CNKI and Web of Science databases were searched. From the establishment of the database to April 2022, relevant literature on nursing scenario simulation teaching research at home and abroad was retrieved, and Cite Space software was used for visual analysis. Results: The research focus on China was the application and application effect of nursing scenario simulation teaching. The research hotspots abroad are the quality evaluation, reliability and influence of nursing scenario simulation teaching. Conclusion: The research and development of nursing scenario simulation teaching gradually tend to be systematic.

Abstract:Background. This study aimed to conduct a literature search to determine research hotspots in the field of gerontological care education in China and abroad. A knowledge of the focus of research conducted abroad may assist Chinese educators in determining the shape of gerontological care education in the future. Methods. The “Web of Science Core Collection” and “CNKI” databases were searched for literature on gerontological care education published from 2010 to 2020. CiteSpace software was used to display the knowledge map of co-occurrence of keywords, and an evolution trend map of research hotspots in recent 10 years was constructed. Results. From 2010 to 2020, the focus of foreign gerontological nursing education research was on the training of gerontological nursing personnel; the development of elderly care services; and education and training in dealing with patients with senile delirium and dementia. The focus of gerontological nursing education research in China was primary care education, training of senior elderly nursing personnel, talent training mode reform, training of nursing staff, and career development paths for geriatric nursing staff. Conclusions. Foreign geriatric nursing education research focuses on cultivating talents, mental health services for the elderly, innovating the mode of pension, and the care of patients with disorders such as dementia and delirium, while in China, the emphasis remains on gerontological nursing personnel training. Attention to research developments in other countries may assist Chinese educators to promote the development of geriatric nursing education in our country.

Abstract:Teaching resource of nursing students play an important role in improving clinical performance, while there is a little know and dearth of the access and development criteria or guidance of teaching resources for nursing undergraduates.To develop the admission and development criteria of education resources for nursing undergraduates, and to explore and determine its composition and connotation.A cross-sectional survey has been used.A total of 22 Chinese nursing schools and affiliated teaching bases (hospitals and community health centers).A total of 20 nursing experts were consulted to develop the questionnaire of admission and development criteria of teaching resource for nursing undergraduates in China, and then 285 valid experts from 22 Chinese nursing schools and affiliated teaching bases (hospitals and community health centers) conducted the questionnaire survey to evaluate experts' consensus rate and view on the composition and connotation of the developed criteria.There were 6 domains and 43 items included in the admission and development criteria of teaching resource for nursing undergraduates, which domains included educational budget and allocation of resources, infrastructure, clinical teaching bases, books and information services, educational experts, and educational exchanges. The experts' consensus rate was more than 90.2%.The standard is helpful to guide the future admission and development of teaching resource for nursing undergraduates, and favor the education quality improvement of nursing undergraduates.

Abstract:The main problems and reasons of curriculum setup were analyzed by comparing the change of academic structure system of health management specialty of a university in Shanghai from five years to four years.We pointed out the main problems of current curriculum,for example,the training goals do not reflect the professional characteristics and meet the needs of the society,the curriculum setup ignores the logical relationship among courses and adjustments of curriculum were unreasonable leading to greater difficulty in professional learning and a decline in identity.We should optimize the training objectives around the needs of society and the times,optimize curriculum settings according to professional characteristics and learning rules,and establish a linkage mechanism of training plan,teaching material construction,curriculum teaching and employment feedback.
