Abstract:The formulation of 10% chlorfenapyr suspension concentrate was developed with the method of wet milling. Optimizing the recipe with main adjuvants such as wetting-dispersing agents, thickening agents as well as anti-freezing agents. Results showed that its physical and chemical properties were not changed significant after the formulation was stored under cold and heating conditions respectively.

Abstract:The optimum formula for chesulfamide and chlorothalonil 50% wettable powder(WP)was determined by making researches on the varieties and contents of carrier, wetting agent and dispersant. The quality control parameters of the formulated product were measured, and the results showed that all of them complied with the requirements of WP formulation. The field efficacy tests were conducted against downy mildew on the cucumber in greenhouse, and the results showed that the mixed product had a better control effect than the individual ones when used against cucumber downy mildew.

Abstract:Solid agrochemicals with poor thermal stability pose a huge challenge to their production and application. Herein, two low-melting-point fungicides, pyraclostrobin (ZJ) and flusilazole (FZ), were designed to form cocrystals with the high melting point fungicide of thiophanate-methyl (TM), respectively. An infrequent multistep slurry conversion crystallization process was discovered and studied, which accelerated the formation of cocrystals, and the mechanism was revealed. Oiling-out of FZ and ZJ was the key process to multistep slurry conversion crystallization. The heterogeneous system possessed the advantage of high energy, which accelerated the synthesis of cocrystals. Furthermore, the variations of physicochemical properties containing thermal stability, tap density, formulation ability, and storage stability of both the parent fungicides and cocrystals were analyzed and compared. Packing coefficient and crystal structure analysis revealed the structure-property relationships of cocrystals. The single-crystal structure showed the strong N-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds between the FZ and TM, and N-H center dot center dot center dot O and N-H center dot center dot center dot S interactions in the ZJ-TM cocrystal. Strong hydrogen bonds stabilize the structures of cocrystals, which enables ZJ-TM and FZ-TM to be made into a greener water suspension concentrate, instead of an emulsifiable concentrate with pollution.

Abstract:Five Lignin/Polyethylene Glycol (L-PEG) film-forming agents with different lignin contents were prepared using industrial Alkali Lignin (AL) and Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) as the main raw materials. FI-IR and 1H NMR analysis demonstrated the introduction of large amounts of polyethylene chains in lignin molecules. The prepared L-PEGs could be dispersed in water to form a stable nanoemulsion with a particle size of 131-232 nm and a zeta potential of27.22~-38.64 mV. After L-PEGs drying into film, the obtained films can swell rapidly in water, with a swelling rate of 183.3-257.6%. The swollen wet film dissolved slowly in water with a dissolution rate of 42.3-57.1% in 14 days. The 5% flowable concentrate for seed coating (FS) of chlorantraniliprole was prepared by using L-PEG as a film-forming agent. The storage stability at elevated temperature experiment showed that the FS had good storage stability. The coating experiment showed that the FS had good coating performance, with film forming time less than 4 min, coating uniformity higher than 93.3%, and shedding rate lower than 7.67%. The pot experiment showed that the germination percentage of coated maize (Zea mays L.) seeds increased from 86.67% to over 93.33%, which could promote the growth of seedlings.

Abstract:The paper introduced the consisting and preparation on method of emulsion in water for 26 % mixture of chlopyrifos Lambda-cyhalothrin.According to the standard of transparent appearance of initial preparation cold storage[（0±2） ℃,7 d],heat storage [（54＋2） ℃,14 d] and good mobility,we have carried out the screening tests recipes of 26 % mixture of chlopyrifos emulsion in water using different surfactants,solvents,co-solvents and water.Screening tests recipes：chlopyrifos 24 %;Lambda-cyhalothrin 2 %;octanol 3 %;xylene 11 %;emulsifying agent（602#＋605#）7 %~8 %;water else.Heat storaged 14 d at（54±2） ℃,decomposed rate less than 4.0 %;cold storaged 18 months at 0~5 ℃,the of long-term stability is good.

Abstract:Lignosulfonate (LS) is an important dispersant for wettable powder (WP). Though domestic products of lignosulfonate in China are very cheap compared to imported products, their performance is often inferior. Two modified products GCL4-1 and GCL4-A, from sodium lignosulfonate and alkali lignin respectively, were developed and their dispersive effects on the performance of 40% myclobutanil wettable powder (WP) were studied compared with the imported product Borresperse Na and the domestic product SXMN. Results show that GCL4-1 and GCL4-A have superior performance in these properties: suspensibility, wettability, surface tension, contact angle and solution retention. GCL4-A was found to be a suitable dispersant for the wettable powder pesticide for it has the best performance per unit price.

Abstract:As one kind of tetrahydrophthalimide herbicides with high efficiency to control the weed in corn and soybean fields,flumiclora-pentyl was firstly synthesized by Sumitomo Chemical.Based on the traditional synthesis process,using p-fluorophenol as a starting material,a new synthesis process of flumiclora-pentyl was developed with several steps such as chlorination,etherification,nitrification,reduction and condensation.The yield of the product was 33%,and the purity was higher than 95%.The structures of the product and the intermediate were confirmed by Elementary Analysis,1H-NMR,MS and IR methods.
Development and Physical Stability Analysis of Fipronil 10% SC

Abstract:The fipronil SC was researched to prevent sanitary insect pest.[Methods] Wet milling was adopted during the preparation of fipronil 10% suspension concentrate(sc).The dispersant was screened through flow point method and formula method and the ratio of dispersant and wetting agent was optimized.[Results] The best formula after screening was showed below: fipronil 10.0%(mass ratio),Morwet D-425 2.0%,Morwet EFW 1.0%,xanthan gum 0.1%,magnesium aluminium silicate 0.5%,ethylene glycol 5.0% and water was added to 100.0%.[Conclusions] The behaviour of the formula agreed fairly well with the experimentally relevant determined standards.After treatment of(54±2) °c for fourteen days,the rheological properties,drain rate and particle size distribution proved to be fine.

Abstract:The effect of different quantity of dispersing agent Morwet D-425 on the physical and chemical stability of the chlorfenapyr 10% suspension concentrate was researched.[Methods] The chlorfenapyr 10% SC was developed with the method of wet milling and the indicators of them were determined.Finally the rheology properties of better formulars were researched.[Results] The results indicated that when the amount of Morwet D-425 was 1%,appearance and suspensibility of the SC was better.Meanwhile it also exhibited the typical non-newtonian fluid characteristics of false plasticity with the continuous different shear force.The flow curves were in accordance with Ostward model.[Conclusions] The wetting agents were mixed with dispersing agengts at a reasonable ratio,which was effective to improve physical and chemical stability of the chlorfenapyr SC.

Abstract:This paper introduces the preparation method of cycloxaprid 50% water dispersible granules and shows its characteristics, formula screening, quality and technical standards and storage stability. The optimum formula of cycloxaprid 50% WDG was confirmed through screening tests which was composed of cycloxaprid 50%, wetting agent A 2%, dispersant B 3%, Morwet D-500 5%, REAX 88B 3%, disintegrant D 9%, pH regulator E 5%, solid defoamer Tanafoam SLX 0.5%, filler C 13% and diatomite adding to 100%. It was showed by the experimental test that cycloxaprid 50% WDG gets excellent dispersion in water with suspension rate over 90%, wetting time less than 30 seconds, disintegrative time less than 60 seconds, and decomposition rate after heat storage less than 4%. The test indexes meet the requirements of WDG.

Abstract:The adjuvant of herbicide glyphosate with characteristics of good efficacy, mild quality, low cost and easy biodegradation was studied on tallow amine with a mean molar ethylene oxide(EO) content of 15, polyoxyalkylene alcohol sulfate AES, alkyl polyglucoside, tea saponin and ganosilicone. It was also applied into the formulation for ammonium salt of glyphosate 75.7% water soluble granule. The properties and effect of the product were tested and determined. It shows that the best formulation of the product is ammonium salt of glyphosate(95.5%) 79.3 g, tallow amine 10.4 g, polyoxyalkylene alcohol sulfate AES 2.6 g, ammonium sulphate 7.7 g. The product has high rate of dissolving, low surface tension and the decomposition rate of its active ingredient is less than 5% which conforms to the requirements of SG, further more, herbicidal activity against weed target excels domestic congeneric product and is equal to that of imports.

The field control efficacy on rice sheath blight was carried out. The results showed that the adhesion and deposition of the liquid of the as-prepared formulation on the target were significantly improved under the recommended concentration, and it also had good anti-evaporation performance. In terms of the prevention and control of rice sheath blight in the field, even if the dosage was reduced by 25%, the control efficiency was still the same as the control agent (40% difenoconazole +pyraclostrobin SC). In addition, G-100A can also be used as a spray adjuvant. It exists in the liquid with a unique structure, which can effectively inhibit water evaporation and droplets drift. Moreover, it can also reduce the interface energy when the droplet impacts the surface of target leaf, preventing the droplet bouncing. In summary, G-100A is expected to be applied in more formulation systems, which contributes to the reduction of pesticide application in the future.

Preparations of 25 Wt% of Pyraclostrobin Nanosuspension Concentrate (SC) Using Lignosulfonate-Based Colloidal Spheres to Improve Its Thermal Storage Stability

Abstract:Improving the thermal storage stability of nanosuspension concentrate (SC) prepared from low-melting-point pesticide is a recognized problem. In this work, using pyraclostrobin as the raw material, 25 wt% of pyraclostrobin nano-SC was prepared through a water-based grinding method, and the optimal grinding conditions were obtained as follows: a grinding time of 23 h, D-3911 as dispersant and a dispersant dosage of 12 wt%. The pyraclostrobin nano-SC D90 size prepared based on this best formula was 216 nm. Adding glycerin could improve the stability of nano-SC at room temperature, but its thermal storage stability was still poor. For this problem, sodium lignosulfonate and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (NaLS/CTAB) colloidal spheres were prepared through electrostatic and hydrophobic self-assembly and characterized. The delamination and precipitation of nano-SC can be significantly improved by adding an appropriate amount of colloidal spheres, and the nano-SC D90 size decreased from 2726 to 1023 nm after 7 days of thermal storage. Farmland experiments indicated the control efficiency of pyraclostrobin nano-SC against flowering cabbage downy mildew disease was about 30% higher than that of SC. Especially after adding the wetting agent, the effect of nano-SC could be comparable to that of commercial Kairun (currently the best pyraclostrobin formulation in the world).

Abstract:The performance and biological activity of a butachlor formulation characterized by having excellent emulsion stability,good dispersibility and excellent centrifugal stability provided by anionic surfactants AEOSS-7 was investigated, by comparing it with formulations from Rhodia and Monsanto (USA).The three butachlor formulations provided better barnyardgrass control as the herbicide dose increased.At 25 g a.i./hm2 ,60% control efficacy of barnyardgrass was a-chieved based on aboveground plant fresh weight.There were no significant or highly significant differences among the three formulations regardles of concentration.

Abstract:Polyether amine-bridged sulfonated alkali lignin (PSAL) with different sulfonic group contents and molecular weights was firstly synthesized and characterized. Then, 10 wt% of chlorantraniliprole Nano-suspension concentrate (SC) was prepared by the water-based grinding method, and the optimum grinding parameters were explored and obtained. Based on this optimum grinding formula, chlorantraniliprole Nano-SC was prepared and three optimum dispersants were finally obtained as follows: the compounds of polycarboxylate D-2 separately with P 1 SAL 0.68 , P 1 SAL 0.84 and TERSPERSE 2500 at the mass ratio of 1:1. All Nano-SC prepared by these three dispersants had a D 90 particle size below 200 nm, suspension percentage above 99%, water separation proportion below 1%, excellent thermal storage stability, and also better wettability on banana leaf surface. Additionally, adding glycerin could effectively inhibit the agglomeration and austenogenization of pesticide nanoparticles, and thus improve the stability of Nano-SC. Finally, the farmland experiments indicated chlorantraniliprole Nano-SC prepared in this work had a significantly improved pesticide effect on first-instar rice leaf rollers than traditional micron-sized SC. This work provided a new dispersant with excellent performance for chlorantraniliprole Nano-SC as well as broadened the high value-added utilization of industrial lignin into pesticide Nano-SC field, which had great economic and environmental benefits.

Abstract:[Aims]The propiconazole 20% emulsion in water(EW) was developed for safety and environmental protection.[Methods]With emulsifier,thickener,cryoprotectant,preservative as influencing factors,the optimum formula of propiconazole 20% EW was screened and each performance was determined.[Results]The favorable formulation of propiconazole 20% EW consisted of propiconazole 20%,emulsifier GY-AEOSS-7 8%,thickener carboxymethyl cellulose 0.2%,cryoprotectant glycerol 3%,preservative p-hydroxybenzoate 0.2% and water.[Conclusions]The propiconazole 20% EW accorded with the criterions and requirements of the EW and maight have a good prospect.

Abstract:Research was conducted on formulating a thifensulfuron 75% water dispersible granule using 96.6% thifensulfuron technical along with wetting agent,dispersing agent,disintegrating agent,and bonding agent. Properties and efficacy of the product were determined. Product suspension percentage was 90%,wetting time was 30 sec,and decomposition under high temperature storage was 5%. Good biological activity was observed against tested weed species.

Abstract:The submicron CL-20 was prepared by solvent-nonsolvent method with different surfactants,and the influence factors about various kinds,quality and injecting styles of surfactants were analyzed.Results show that the uniform and block-like CL-20 with 1 μm,2 μm are obtained using 2 g raw materials CL-20 with 3.5 mL 2% polyvinyl alcohol(PV),and with 6.5 mL 5% polyoxyethylene ether(PT) respectively.The particle with 1 μm and elliptoid uniform and narrow particle-size distribution are obtained by watering pot injecting method with 6.5 mL 5% PT.CL-20 has higher heat sensitivity and is still e polymorph after fine.
