The Effects of Terrestrial Heat Flow on the Environment of Lake Dianchi and New Approach to Control Its Pollution

Abstract:The effort made during the past 7 years with investment of more than 4 billion Chinese yuan has made obvious progress in controlling the sources of pollution, which had prevented to some extent the ecologic environment of Lake Dianchi from becoming worse, and laid a foundation for the complete control in the future. The reason why the quality in Lake Dianchi has not become better up to now is that the special geographic environment of Lake Dianchi was not included when the mechanism of the explosive reproduction of the blue green was considered. It is believed that the high terrestrial heat flow background and the warm climate all the year long made the blue green grow and reproduce continuously since the in Lake Dianchi became nitrified, which resulted in complete breakdown of the aquatic ecologic system in Lake Dianchi and the body has completely lost its self purification ability. The two issues of Constraining the reproduction of the blue green alga and removing the nitrified material from the water formed a deadlock in the control of pollution in Lake Dianchi. An effective measure to open the deadlock is to pump clear from Lake Fuxian to change the in Lake Dianchi, and restore the grassland around the Lake, so as to promote its self purification ability, and develop the aquatic ecologic system at the same time to restrain the reproduction of the blue green alga.
