Abstract:The poetic language can be exploited to pursue the flexible word order and subtle sentence structure so as to convey the multi level beauty in its entirely. The permutation of word order in both English and Chinese poems is mostly subject to the distribution of sound beauty. There exist differences between the two languages, but the principle and effect of distribution of sound beauty reflected by permutation of word order shows the wonder of equally satisfactory results. This article reveals the differences and similarities by a comparison of the rhythms and rhymes in both poetic languages.
