Abstract:A micropipette aspiration technique was adopted to investigate the viscoelasticity of rat polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN) after treated with vary concentration staphylococcus aureus and its secretions. A standard linear solid model (kelvin model) was used to fit the experimental data. The results show that the viscoelastic parameters K 1?K 2 and μ of PMNs are higher than that of control after stimulated by staphylococcus aureus. Further, they showed a staturated phenomenon after the concentration of staphylococcus aureus increased. But K 1?K 2 and μ of PMNs have no remarkable difference compared with control after treated with suspend solution of staphylococcus arueus.
