Abstract:A space vector speed regulated system used for locomotive is discussed in the paper. Firstly a motor vector model and voltage decoupling complementary relation are introduced briefly, then a voltage space vector controller is designed. The simulation results show that the controller is satisfactory.

Abstract:By analyzing the basic principle of voltage space-vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM), a sort of digital arithmetic is expatiated and the hardware and software of frequency regulating speed system for SVPWM are designed with DSP as its core in this paper. The results of experiment indicate that the system has a higher control precision and better dynamic capability, and the system can decrease obviously current harmonic component of inverter and harmonic wear of motor, and debase torque bouncing.\;

Abstract:The method id=0 is one of vector control′s methods of PMSM.The method makes current decouple in a static state,but dynamic coupling between d-q current still exist,which causes d-q current effect on each other in dynamic process and also causes a bad dynamic performance of PMSM.The problem of dynamic coupling has particularly outstanding when PMSM highly accelerates/decelerates.Three voltage decoupling methods was summarized which based on vector control,by means of theoretical analysis and simulation studying,contrasts the performance of different voltage decoupling methods,in the end,simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis.

Abstract:In this paper, the mathematical model and control strategy of the VSC-HVDC system are studied. The transient mathematical model for the VSC-HVDC system in d-q synchronous reference frame is developed, in which direct current control strategy and dual closed loop structure are proposed. Decoupled control structure consisting of current feedback and voltage feed-forward is adopted in the inner current control loop that can track the reference current quickly. The outer loop is power regulators, which combines the inverse steady state model with PI regulator, and can control the active and reactive power separately. Simulation results realized by PSCAD/EMTDC show that the designed control system contains satisfying performance.

Abstract:Considering the higher harmonic distortion and higher torque ripple caused by traditional PWM strategy when applied to electric vehicles,a permanent magnet synchronous motor system based on space vector pulse width modulation strategy for electric vehicle application was designed.The principle of space vector pulse-width modulation is described in detail,and the vector control system for PMSM was set up in MATLAB/Simulink.The id=0 control strategy was used,and the system dynamic response was simulated.Digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335 of TI company was used as the main control chip to set up the experimental platform.The system status and efficiency below the base speed was studied in experiments.The simulation results and the experimental results show a good consistency.It provides practical value to PMSM system design and analysis.

Abstract:Speed Sensorless Vector Control is widely, used in motor control, with the advantage of good performance, low cost and high stability. This paper analyzes the stability problem of the sensor less vector controlled induction machine in the low speed regenerating mode, and get a solution for unstable problem of the flux observer using modified voltage model. It is proved through simulation and experiment that this method can effecti rely solve the unstable problem in low speed regenerating mode.

Abstract:Time delay caused by digital control may significantly degrade the controllability of electric vehicle traction motor controller in high-speed applications. This paper proposes a method to reduce the side impact of digital delay on the motor current control. The complex vector current regulator considering delay and hold is modelled in d-q frame. Double-sided frequency response function is applied to analyze the stability, dynamic response and decoupling. State feedback control with phase compensation is used to enhance the stability, bandwidth and decoupling effect. The feasibility and effectiveness of this method is verified by simulation results.

Abstract:In this paper a vector controlled AC speed-regulating system is developed,which adopts the rotor flux field-orientated theory to meet the requirements for an electric traction system.The adopted vector control theory and the control scheme are introduced,the configuration of both the main circuit and the control board system are presented,and the control scheme is explained.Based on theoretic analysis,a simulation platform is designed to help thorough research,and furthermore,an experimental system is set up to realize all these control schemes.Results from both simulation and experiment verify the excellent qualities of this system.

Abstract:static var generator (SVG) of delta cascaded H-bridge structure can dynamically track the change of reactive load,improve power factor,restrain the voltage sag and fluctuation,and improve power quality of the grid,so it is widely researched in recent year.The DC link voltage control is a hot issue to cascaded H-bridge SVG of delta connection structure.Compared with the carrier modulation method,Space vector modulation method is suitable for a real-time implementation in digital signal processors with wide linear modulation range and lower switching loss.But the DC voltage control method based on space vector modulation in delta connection cascaded SVG has not yet been applied for DC-side voltage control.Therefore,this paper proposes three layers control system,the first layer is total DC-side voltage active power control;the second layer is interlayer voltage balance control and each phase treats as a H-bridge and use 3D SVPWM method between each phrase;the third layer applies voltage balance control among each module in each phase to achieve equivalent result between the given value and the DC-side voltage of each H-bridge.The zero-sequence current based on 3D-space vector modulation can generate in each unit switching cycle,so it can produce arbitrary order zero sequence current to achieve the DC voltage control with high speed of dynamic corresponding.Lastly,the simulation and experiments results verify the correctness and validity of the method.

Abstract:A voltage-sourced rectifier control scheme for use with AC/DC/AC variable speed drives is presented. A control scheme is derived that directly calculates the duration of time spent on the zero state and on each switching state adjacent to the reference vector, over a constant switching interval, in order to drive the line current vector to the reference vector. In addition, under transient conditions, when deadbeat control is not possible, a control scheme is presented that ensures that the line current vector is driven in the direction of the reference current vector. The current reference for the rectifier controller is derived from the bus voltage error and a feedforward term based on the estimated converter output power. The proposed space vector-based rectifier regulator is shown to exhibit improved harmonic and transient performance over existing per-phase duty cycle prediction methods, especially at modulation indices near unity. The deadbeat control of the rectifier input current is accomplished every half-cycle with constant switching frequency while still symmetrically distributing the zero state within the half-cycle period.<>

Abstract:In this paper, a novel control strategy of variable speed constant frequency for stand-alone brushless doubly fed induction generator was described. Based on the mathematical model, the direct voltage control using space-vector modulation was presented and discussed particularly. The model of the generator power system also used to compute the estimated value of converter’s output voltage, and current loop was simplified, the space vector modulation is adopted for the converter. It inherits quick dynamic performance and robust but also keep switch frequency constant and reduce the harmonic and ripple. In addition, a new initial rotor position detection technique based on phase-locked loop is presented to obtain correct alignment. The direct control and vector control strategy between the grid-connected and stand-alone system were also estimated and compared. Experimental results prove the feasibility and validity of the proposed control scheme.

Abstract:A novel voltage vector control method for induction motor is presented to improve the low speed performance and stability of open-loop system. The control scheme adopted a novel voltage boost method to compensate the stator resistor voltage drop keeping the magnitude of the stator flux constant. And through deeply research of the instability under light load condition, a stabilizing control method was proposed. Under very low speed condition, the performance had been greatly improved by boosting the torque and compensating the motor slip frequency. Different from vector control methods, all the compensation and regulation were based on stator voltage oriented synchronous rotation frame transformation, which avoided complicated flux linkage vector calculation and were simple to implement. The experimental results show that, by adopting the proposed method, the speed can be accurately controlled down to 5.3 r/min with rated load torque. Great improvement is achieved in the low speed performance and speed accuracy, and the system under no load condition is stabilized at the whole operating range. © 2010 Chin.Soc.for Elec.Eng.

Abstract:The mathematical model and control strategy of the VSC-HVDC system are studied in the paper. Abstract:In this paper,a improved space vector modulation technique for direct torque control scheme is presented.A equivalent voltage vector of arbitrary direction and magnitude are achieved by a simple and reliable arithmetic.The scheme may be regarded as a development of a DTC aimed at achieving a constant-switching-frequency operation.Owe to the less caculation and have no use for polar transformation,the controllers have the advantage of speediness and veracity.Results of simulation is presented,which show that the presented method works well both in steady state and in transients.

Abstract:DC-link voltage fluctuation, originated from the single-phase power supply, has a significant impact on the railway traction drive system. Instead of employing a large LC filter to suppress the fluctuation, software solutions are of more interests, since they do not add additional components to the system. A state-of-the-art feedforward strategy predicts the dc-link voltage pattern based on its repetitive nature and directly modifies the duty cycle fed to the inverter to eliminate the impact of the fluctuation. Yet this strategy requires a symmetrical and consistent pulse pattern. In this paper, a compensation approach for synchronous space vector modulation with multiple pulse patterns is proposed. It utilizes the prediction of the dc-link voltage pattern and, based on the volt-second balancing principle, modifies the switching instants corresponding to different pulse patterns. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly eliminate the impact of the fluctuation.

Abstract:High-speed Maglev control system is highly integration automatic system combined with levitation control subsystem, traction control subsystem, and operation control subsystem, and traction control subsystem is one of key subsystem. The problem of High-speed Maglev traction control was analyzed in this paper, and the nonlinear dynamic model of the High-speed Maglev traction system was set up. The precision linear model of the High-speed Maglev traction system was given based on the feedback linearization method, and based on it the controller was designed. The simulations show the good velocity curve tracking performance and the robustness of the traction control system.

Abstract:A novel $d$ -axis variable-structure control (VSC) current regulator is proposed for realizing fast and accurate sensorless control in the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) in this article. In this proposed regulator, the sigmoid function is employed as a switching control law to reduce the chattering effect and increase the degrees of freedom in tuning the regulator. The sensorless control performance under the $d$ -axis VSC current regulator is testified by using the model reference adaptive system (MRAS) and sliding-mode control (SMC) method. In the MRAS observer, the adaptive law of speed and resistance is designed so that resistance, speed, and position can be estimated simultaneously, which can eliminate the influence of the resistance variations theoretically. In the sliding-mode observer, the back electromotive force observer is employed to estimate the speed and position of PMSM so that the estimation can cover a relative low-speed range because pure integration is not employed. Furthermore, the dead-time compensation voltages (DTCV) strategy is employed to online estimate disturbance voltage in a feed-forward manner, which can improve the sensorless control performance of PMSM. Experimental results obtained from an SPMSM drive system validate the superiority of the proposed $d$ -axis VSC current regulator.

Abstract:Vector control holds an important position in the field of speed adjustment system of asynchronous motor be-cause of its outstanding performance.However, the speed sensor fixed on the shaft of the motor will reduce the robust-ness of the system as well as increase cost and complexity.Traditional three-level space vector modulation ( SVM) al-gorithm will restrict the performance of the system indirectly because of its massive triangular and square root computa-tion.A vector control system based on current model flux observer and MRAS speed identification under 120°coordi-nate SVM algorithm has been proposed in this paper.The feasibility and superiority of the system has been analyzed by theoretical modeling, and its validity has been proved by simulation and experimental test.

Abstract:A feasible solution of sensorless direct torque control system based on the variable structure control theory was presented as viewed from the development of commercial available converters.The flux linkage and torque control strategies are simple and robust,and the corresponding rotor speed information is not required for the controllers.Space vector pulse width modulation is applied to the output voltage in order to reduce the ripples of the controlled variables.The rotational speed estimation is implemented through a model reference adaptive system(MRAS) method.The operating characteristics in the low speed are improved further by the dead-time compensation.A prototype of converter was developed,and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and validity of the proposed control strategy.
