Abstract:A design methodology of a monolithic management chip for multi-cell(no more than 5) Li-ion batteries in series is proposed to reduce the cost of the management of Li-ion battery pack.By using resistor-network divider and high precision subtracters to convert high input voltage into low input voltage,the chip could be realized by 5 V standard IC process instead of expensive high-voltage process,such as more than 24 V high-voltage process for 5-cell Li-ion batteries in series.The chip also realized the functions including protection of over-charge,over-discharge,overload,over-temperature,and the capabilities of coulometry,alarming and charging timer,etc.A testing chip for double-cell application was fabricated by using CSMC's 0.5 μm 5 V standard CMOS process.The testing results show that the function matches the simulation results,and reveal that the proposed design meets the demands of the management of multi-cell Li-ion battery pack,and could reduce the cost effectively.

Abstract:This paper presents a new auto inspection scheme of storage battery team voltage in ample power emergency power system. It adopts high density mounting type photocoupter (PT847) with a high isolation voltage between input and output. Combining with AT89C51 single-chip technique, main problems such as sampling from high voltage of storage battery to low voltage of control system, protection, auto-switching and itinerant testing are resolved appropriately in the circuit design. It achieves the function of automatic real-time inspection of storage battery voltage. Temperature compensation is applied effectively to restrain the influence of temperature on measurement precision. Test results demonstrate that the system has such advantages as fast inspection, high precision, intuitionist inspection results etc.

Abstract:This article presents a method for testing and identification of a recovery material of certain missile, systematically analyzes the diagnostic approach and technology of PCB faults, expounds in detail design concept of the system, sets forth the solution using C8051F020 chip as microprocessor and testing of analog and digital I/O with built-in converter, contrives polarity discrimination circuit, provides software design process and main program by means of design thinking of modularized software, which help increasing program reliability and lowering development cost. The experimentation proves that this system is able to precisely position the faulty module of PCB to be identified, as well as make correct and reasonable opinion for maintenance. The design method and concept of this article is of significant value for reference in the research and development of similar testing and identification system.

Abstract:From the urgent needs of storage life evaluation in missile storage management, combining the characteristics of long-term use of missile and characteristics of different level products of the system, a complete set of overall solution of the life prediction and life extension of missile was proposed. First, through the use of missiles long-term use historical information, the reliability function model of the missile storage was established, and the life conclusions of missiles were estimated. Secondly, by conducting accelerated life or accelerated degradation test of missile, the life of missile was estimated. And by conducting environmental test and simulation test, the environmental adaptability indexes were verified. Thirdly, by carrying out the life feature detection analysis of the circuit board, the microscopic defects in the circuit board were detected, and the guidance for life extension work was raised. Finally, by conducting accelerated degradation of the key components and materials, the life conclusions of them were estimated. Combining the storage life information of missiles, board-level circuits, components and materials, a complete set of overall solution of the life prediction and life extension of missile was proposed.

Abstract:The development of the energy storage industry and the higher electricity prices lead to the continuous increase of users’ demand for battery energy storage in industrial manufacture. To monitor the status of the battery and control the running process of the battery, we need a battery management system (BMS) with good performance and complete functions. Previously proposed BMS generally lacks functionality and is not designed for energy storage systems in industrial manufacture. This paper aims to design and implement a BMS for energy storage. The system can collect various data such as battery voltage, temperature, current, smoke, and so on. The functions of calculating status data, detecting faults, passive battery balance, and display are also supported. Moreover, the system optimizes the functions of battery balance and display. Finally, the experimental results show that the BMS achieves a battery voltage measurement error within 2mV, supports a passive balance current of about 100mA, and makes the computing resource allocation more balanced.

Abstract:Under the future high-tech war mode, the strength of the air combat effectiveness have become one of the main factors to win, and further, the fast support capability for the aviation equipment has played a decisive role in the improvement of air combat effectiveness. A certain type of airplane has a variety of air-to-ground weapon launchers. Existing test methods are time-consuming and laborious, and the test results are not accurate and intuitive. Therefore, design and implementation of air-to-ground weapon launcher detector of the certain airplane has important practical significance as well as military value. Based on analysis of testing requirements, this study chooses the reasonable scheme, designs a power supply module and a signal conditioning circuit, builds a comprehensive testing platform based on PC/104 embedded computer under the development environment, VC++6.0. Applications prove that, with advanced technology, rational design and simple operating, the test system can reliably detect the missile launchers, and has high accuracy and short time detection, and effectively guarantees the combat and training missions.

Abstract:At present the warehouse and workshop of each big enterprise use artificial inspection,and there are a lot of loopholes.Using manual inspection in dangerous situation would cause many hidden security problems.This article uses single chip microcomputer as the control core,and designs an automatic inspection vehicle driving in anticipate orbit,which can replace manual inspection.The test result shows that the inspection vehicle car can go along with the anticipated orbit to achieve automatic tracing and avoid obstacle.The goal of design can be reached without limiting operation conditions.

Abstract:The performance and quality of electric vehicle batteries have an important impact on the user experience of new energy vehicles. The power battery pack needs to go through a strict inspection process before being installed on the vehicle. There is no doubt that the efficiency of battery testing is the key to the production capacity of new energy vehicles. Develop an efficient, practical and stable battery testing system to automate the battery testing process, reduce the misoperation of the testing personnel, ensure the safety of the testing personnel as much as possible and greatly increase the production capacity of new energy vehicles. Nevertheless, the method of general measuring instrument in traditional EOL field test is manual debugging, which has low efficiency and low degree of automation, which cannot meet the increasingly complex field test circuit. Hence, it is very necessary to integrate component automation systems to further improve measurement efficiency. Based on the test content in the EOL test, this paper designs and develops a highly automated test and diagnosis system, introduces several general measuring instruments into the system and discards the VB and MFC in the host computer and replaces it with the introduction of SCPI commands and python. The use of Ethernet to form a path between the physical layer and program control aims to make the automatic testing of general electronic equipment and remote circuit modules a reality. This article introduces the instrument circuit hardware module and host computer language programming module in detail. The final results show that the system has good portability and robustness and is suitable for running on various platforms.

Abstract:Energy conservation and environmental protection have become new targets of the development of the automobile industry. A new generation of electric vehicles have gotten a great development, which can diversify transport configuration with its zero-emission, low noise, etc., and attract extensive attentions worldwide. However, the battery problem of energy storage and application technology remains to restrict the development of electric vehicles. How to extend battery life and improve battery energy efficiency and operational reliability are problems that must be addressed for the electric vehicle energy management system. Battery management system is one of the key technologies related to electric vehicles and plays an important role in practice and commercialization, so the technology research of battery management system has a great significance. In all secondary batteries, the lithium batteries have the highest energy density and power density ratio, and became the most widely used electric vehicle batteries. Because of the inherent characteristics of lithium battery materials, overcharge, over-discharge, and over-temperature, battery pack performance will rapidly decay and eventually cause the battery pack failure. Therefore, the battery management system for lithium batteries plays an important role in extending the battery life cycle and maintaining safe operation of electric vehicles. This paper presents a kind of battery management system with a Freescale microcontroller core. It can provide accurate measurement of the battery cell voltage, total battery voltage, battery temperature, ambient temperature, current, and other information. The battery management system can also provide data to support the analysis of battery performance. In addition, the hardware circuit of the system has the functions of battery over-voltage/under-voltage protection and energy balance, etc., and the single cell can be monitored and implement the necessary protection. A PC monitoring system obtains data related to the battery via the CAN bus communication from the battery management system, and achieves the battery status real-time display, while all the data can be saved to a file. The PC monitor interface can achieve programming control of the working status of charging and discharging battery pack and is able to set the parameters of the battery failure, to ensure the security of the battery charging and discharging process. The experiments verified the physical parameters of the system on battery power detection with high accuracy and achieved a dynamic two-way balancing. In addition, the battery management system functions are verified on CAN communication and the voltage display. At last, a balanced experimental verification of effectiveness equalization was conducted. The equalization was divided into two functional verifications, one was the microscopic detection of the presence and size of the equilibrium current, the other was whether the macro cell voltage converged to the average voltage. The results showed that the battery management system could meet the requirements on measuring accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness equalization. The battery-powered, battery testing, and performance analysis applied technology research provides a reliable platform and data support.

Abstract:Abstract The use of nickel-metal hydride batteries in tactical radios will lead to problems such as heavier loads, shorter battery life, and less intelligent power supply systems. Because analyzing the power supply guarantee requirements of tactical radio stations, this paper firstly models and simulates lithium-ion batteries to accurately estimate key design parameters such as lithium-ion power and balance control. Then, high-efficiency integration technologies of new materials such as PAA and LiPF6 are used to develop lithium-ion batteries with high specific energy density, good high and low-temperature performance, and lightweight. At the same time, DSP technology is used to develop battery fast charging and intelligent management software and hardware systems to achieve fast and real-time detection of battery state of charge, health state, and functional state. The battery-intelligent power supply system will provide theoretical guidance and technical support for the overall improvement of the combat effectiveness of tactical radio equipment.

Abstract:Mobile devices for information, control and telemetry systems are powered by mobile generators through AC to DC converters, by batteries or, if possible, directly by solar panels. Solar panels typically work in a system that involves the usage of batteries to keep the systems running when the solar panels are not working or not providing enough power. The batteries can be recharged from the panels themselves if the solar panels have sufficient power or from an external direct current source. Also, for some mobile devices, power systems are used only with batteries, which are recharged from generators or, if possible, from standard electrical networks. All these options of power supply systems for mobile devices require operational control of battery parameters and corresponding direct current networks. The paper proposes a device for monitoring the following parameters: voltage of the direct current network from which the mobile device is powered or the batteries are charged; battery charge current control; control of insulation resistance of direct current circuits; control of the voltage of chargers; monitoring the status of chargers; protection of batteries from deep discharge; control of the state of switching nodes. The device is implemented as a two-processor system based on STM32F103 microcontrollers. A non-contact sensor of the LEM LA 100-P type is used to measure the direct current, which generates an analog signal proportional to the value of the direct current. This signal is passed to a 16- bit analog-to-digital converter. Given that these microcontrollers have integrated 12-bit analog-to- digital converters, an external 16-bit analog-to-digital converter of the ADS1115 type is used to ensure the necessary accuracy of direct current and voltage measurement, which transmits information to the basic processor via the I2C interface. The basic processor implements the main operating modes of the device, and the local processor provides information exchange with the general mobile power supply system through the RS-485 interface. The device is equipped with an indication system based on an LCD indicator of the VS1602A type and functionally programmable single LED indicators, a local keyboard for selecting control modes, a USB port for connecting additional modules and a SWD port for programming the Flash memory of microcontrollers and debugging programs in real time. During operation, parameters of non-standard events are stored in the device's non-volatile memory. The software of the basic and local processors has been developed, which ensures the functioning of the device in basic modes and performs periodic self-diagnosis of the device. The obtained results can be used in scientific research and in the design of real automated power systems for mobile information systems. Abstract:A real-time temperature monitoring system of lead acid battery is introduced based on the ultra-low power consumption microcomputer MSP430F1121PW.The system uses surface mount type Pt1000 to monitor the temperature of battery's shell,and adopts bridge circuit as translation circuit,a wireless data communication module based on nRF24L01 is designed to realize remote transmission of detecting results,a two-level power management unit based on TLV70433 and TPS76933 is also designed to match the low consumption supply of battery.And analyzes show it has higher precision and lower consumption compare to the traditional detecting ways.

Abstract:A battery management system(BMS) for electric vehicle is presented,which is based on dynamic capability of Li-ion battery.The core of the system is the MCU PIC16F4585,and the generatrix voltage,generatrix current,single battery voltage,temperature,leakage current can be measured by this system.A bilinear Z-transform is used to design a second-order Butterworth low-pass filter,which can eliminate high-frequency disturbance and reduce the cost of the system.System online testing and hardware-in-the-loop simulation test results show that the precision of temperature control is ±0.5 ℃,and the precision of measurement of voltage current is 0.5%.The system is with good reliability and stability,and has a good value for practical application.

Abstract:In order to improve the efficiency and precision of the traditional insulation resistance and switch logic tester for armored vehicle equipments,a new design of tester based on MCU,CPLD and HMI touch panel was proposed.It can successively monitor 80-circuit insulation resistance and judge the switch logic’s status.In this system,MCU-51 controller is used as the core,and 200 V/50V DC test power is produced by fly-back switch power with a TOP242 chip.TPC touch screen serves as the human-machine interface and CPLD is responsible for decoding work.Low-pass filter circuits can greatly improve the anti-jamming capability.The experimental results have manifested that the system meets actual engineering requirements and it has greatly enhanced the testing efficiency.
