Abstract:By studying a fully nonlinear flow deforming conformal metrics on compact and connected manifold, we prove that for $\lambda < 1$, any metric g with its modified Schouten tensor $A^\lambda_{g}\in \Gamma_k^-$ always can be deformed in a natural way to a conformal metric with constant $\sigma_k$-scalar curvature at exponential rate.

Abstract:We define natural volume forms on $n$-dimensional oriented pseudo-Finslerian manifolds with non-degenerate $m$-th root metrics. Our definitions of the natural volume forms depend on the parity of the positive integer $m>1$. The advantage of the stated definitions is their algebraic structure. The natural volume forms are expressed in terms of Cayley hyperdeterminants. In particular, the computation of the natural volume form does not require the difficult integration over the domain within the indicatrix in the tangent space $T_x M^n$ of the pseudo-Finslerian manifold at a point $x$.

Abstract:Finsler manifolds are differentiable manifolds equipped with Riemannian metrics without the quadratic restriction. In this paper, some recent developments and new results on curvatures and fundamental groups of Finsler manifolds are summarized briefly. The contents contain the growth of fundamental groups, the entropy of manifolds and fundamental groups, the first Betti number and the finiteness of fundamental groups.

Abstract:We study the real Monge-Ampère equation in two and three dimensions, bothfrom the point of view of the SYZ conjecture, where solutions give rise tosemi-flat Calabi-Yau's and in affine differential geometry, where solutionsyield parabolic affine sphere hypersurfaces. We find explicit examples, connectthe holomorphic function representation to Hitchin's description of specialLagrangian moduli space, and construct the developing map explicitly for asingularity corresponding to the type I_n elliptic fiber (afterhyper-Kähler rotation). Following Baues and Cortés, we show that varioustypes of metric cones over two-dimensional elliptic affine spheres generatesolutions of the Monge-Ampère equation in three dimensions. We then prove alocal and global existence theorem for an elliptic affine two-sphere metricwith prescribed singularities. The metric cone over the two-sphere minus threepoints yields a parabolic affine sphere with singularities along a "Y"-shapedlocus. This gives a semi-flat Calabi-Yau metric in a neighborhood of the "Y"vertex. In the erratum, we correct a gap in the solution of the elliptic affinesphere equation (with the small caveat that a parameter in the equation, thecubic differential, must be smaller than we assumed before). The new proofstill allows us to construct semi-flat Calabi-Yau metrics in a neighborhood ofthe "Y" vertex by appealing to the result of Baues-Cortés. We also give analternate construction of such semi-flat Calabi-Yau metrics by using a resulton hyperbolic affine spheres due to the first author.

Abstract:The preliminary material of the monograph (<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1607.03852" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1607.03852">arXiv:1607.03852</a>) written by the first two authors contains two major imprecisions that necessitates a number of (in the end harmless) changes throughout the entire text. One is about identification of abstract and concrete Hardy spaces for perturbed Dirac operators, the other one about interpolation of quasi-Banach function spaces. Since these erroneous statements are not unlikely to spread, we provide a detailed corrigendum, including further background and corrected statements for all affected results. All other results remain unchanged.

Abstract:This is an erratum to the article: "Computation of maximal projection constants" (J. Funct. Anal., 277). The statement of Lemma 3.1(2) of that paper is incorrect. As a consequence of this the proof of Theorem 1.4 is incomplete. In this erratum we prove a corrected version of Lemma 3.1 and explain why, with this weaker result, our original strategy for proving Theorem 1.4 no longer works. The other results of the article, in particular the alternative proof of Grünbaum's conjecture, do not depend on Lemma 3.1 and are thus not affected by this error.
