Learn more.Copy URL Graphical Abstract Hybrid nanotubes (NTs) comprising assemblies of quantum dots (QDs) and dendrimer multilayers, with a graded bandgap structure, can be formed using three types of ZnxCd(1−x)Se alloy QDs with luminescence maxima at λ = 561 nm (green), 594 nm (orange), and 614 nm (red). Probe DNA immobilization inside the NTs makes them ideal candidates for biosensor applications, as demonstrated by successful hybridization of labeled target DNA (see figure).
