Abstract:By analysis on the structure and key technologies of virtual reality system,the application of virtual reality technology in underground substation auxiliary systems simulation is discussed in this paper.According to simulation demands for auxiliary systems,the scene division and citing example technologies are used,a dynamic loading and deletion idea are put forward.These technologies greatly reduce system processing time and hardware resources occupation.Two modes of operation and training are also designed.Simulation results show that the ideas highlight the emphasis,meet the needs of users,and solve the problems of the conventional virtual reality simulation systems.

Abstract:Simulation modeling of secondary system is an important component in dispatcher training systems(DTS).This paper takes Shanghai 500 kV Expo underground substation as the prototype,it mainly introduces the simulation modeling method of the protection and security automatic device for the secondary systems.The models of protection,switches and automatic device are all built through classes Object-oriented.Logic judgment and fixed value judgment are two main simulation methods,their principles and characteristics are elaborated,and their scopes are analyzed.An example is given to illustrate the process of relay protection realization in the simulation.

Abstract:The multi-site smart substation has the characteristics of intelligent operation and maintenance, data fusion and economic efficiency, which can meet the needs of intelligent, digital and zero-carbon development. Thus, this paper establishes a multi-site smart substation scheme based on digital and physical simulation technology. First, it analyzes the intelligent operation and maintenance application of operation, inspection and defect identification in the intelligent operation and maintenance of the substation, and the data fusion application to improve the information judgment ability. The economical and efficient application of carbon photovoltaics; secondly, the data model, 3D model and simulation model of digital and physical simulation technology are analyzed; finally, the economy, intelligence and effectiveness of multi-site smart substations are verified by practical example simulation.

Abstract:Underground substation auxiliary systems are characterized as varieties of equipment,complex control types,complicated associated relationships.This paper makes use of XML language to model entire simulation system,stratified design method to implement man-machine interaction,and standard SQL database to design external data interface among various subsystems.Against the characteristics of underground substation auxiliary system,it designs and implements a vivid simulation of control background of auxiliary system and daily inspections,operation and accident handling simulation content.Application results show that the system has good scalability and maintainability.

Abstract:A 500 kV line protection simulation training system based on quantitative comparison method is designed,aiming to let relay protection workers acquaint new line protection’s application and test quickly.Real equipment oriented design idea is presented in this paper.The system reflects real equipments from internal function and external characteristics perfectly.It simulates line protection’s power system dynamic analog laboratory and protection test.Actual applications indicates that the system has high fidelity,and line protection simulation can act correct when meeting different faults.

Abstract:To solve the problem that current communication network training tools have limited functions and can’t effectively support the electric power communication network training, a new communication network comprehensive training simulation system is designed and implemented. This paper introduces the architecture of the system and function of each part. Then the simulation model principle is explained. The paper introduces the key technologies of 3D modeling, mechanism modeling, communication network scenario automatic generation and network fault simulation. Finally, the system application is introduced and the results show that the system builds a multi-functional training tool to meet the requirements of training and assessment for electric power communication network personnels.

Abstract:With the increasing demand for electricity supply, EHV substations are having access to the public, thus the assessment of power frequency electromagnetic field inside high voltage substation becomes quite important. This paper presents a kind of improved algorithm of charge simulation method and deduces the electric field distribution around the charged body to calculate power frequency electric fields that is 1?5 m over the ground surface by model?ing the 500kV substation. CDEGS is used to analyze a 500kV substation in Chongqing. Numerical results are com?pared to the measured values and the simulation results. Comparison shows good agreement, thus approving applica?bility of the proposed approach in analysis of other areas inside substation. Three paths in the substation are select?ed, predicting electric field intensity distribution, which can provide reference for the research on the power fre?quency electric field distribution of transformer substation.

Abstract:Regarding the imperfection and poor collaborative interaction ability in existing substation simulation training system, this paper proposes a virtual reality simulation training system model for multiuser cooperation in substation maintenance which realizes multiuser collaborative virtual maintenance training of large-scale complex scenes of the substation and solves the competition of the electrical equipment resources. Through analysis of hybrid heterogeneous hierarchical process modeling technology and Petri Nets sharing sub-network synthesis technology, the key technologies such as hierarchical maintenance process modeling, distributed cooperative concurrency control and asynchronous message delay strategy was put forward. The proposed model technique has been practical applied in virtual substation training system, and the effective application results have verified the rationality and effectiveness of the model.

Abstract:An intelligent evaluation scoring system based on expert system and weight function theory is presented in this paper.The system aims at replacing training teacher in the substation operation training courses.It is flexible application in all kinds of substation operation trainings,such as summarizing equipment inspection,switching operation and accident handling,and gives students a comprehensive,objective assessment.Further more,the system uses the power quality indicators as intelligent assessment criteria,which makes the evaluation system judgment more objective.This scoring system holds outstanding practical value for the engineering training in the substation simulation software.

Abstract:With the application of gas insulated switchgears(GIS) and closed environment, an underground substation requires a large number of industrial auxiliary equipments to ensure secure operations, which furtherly requires more capable operators than a conventional substation does. The paper introduces the design of a platform for simulating the complicated operating environment of an underground substation by utilizing AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Virtools. The platform can offer students various trainings including routine inspection, operation and contingency handling according to the unique characteristics of an underground substation. Tests prove that the platform has good expansibility and strong sense of reality. It enables expansion and reformation of the virtual substation and allows on-line editing of the virtual equipment, which meets the operator training needs for an underground substation subject to long-term planning changes.

Abstract:In order to analyze the interaction of AC/DC systems and its influence on protective relaying,a power grid simulation platform with multi-infeed DC is established based on the power grid of Guangdong Province with EMTDC. The principles and methods of the models adoption,the scale of power system,network simplification and data processing are studied to balance the simulation demands between precision and efficiency. Particularly,the reasonable treatment scheme to Tianguang HVDC system's equivalence access of 500 kV mainframe grid is presented,whose actual infeed point locates on 220 kV AC power system. Besides,the platform represents the actual cases by contracting simulation results with the actual power grid in steady and transient state,which reflects dynamic characteristics of main frame structure with multiple HVDC system and illustrates the effectiveness and credibility of the effort mentioned. In this platform,a large amount of different fault cases possibly causing commutation failure or transient power converse are simulated and analyzed,which determines the impact range of the interaction of AC/DC systems. It demonstrates the possible application of the platform and affordable means to study different cases of these problems.

Abstract:The education and training of electrical substations play an essential role for college students and engineers majoring in electrical engineering. However, to ensure the substation's safety production and equipment operation, it is difficult for personnel from external units to enter the site for learning. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a virtual interactive training technology method to author an interactive virtual maintenance education system (VMES) for electrical substations. The system aims to build a visual training and education platform for virtual substations to help learners master the station's equipment, operation, maintenance, evaluation, and other processes. Firstly, the system establishes a component‐level virtual interaction element to encapsulate an electrical substation virtual maintenance model that dynamically responds to user operations. The equipment structure and system environment are visually modeled using engineering modeling software. Secondly, a virtual interactive training system is created with the functions of 3D disassembly training, fault tree reliability evaluation, and AHP‐FCE maintenance assessment. Finally, through four operating systems, we evaluate the compatibility of the VMES, and we recruit learners to evaluate and discuss emerging and common educational models. The practical application results prove that the system can significantly improve students' learning efficiency and interest. Meanwhile, due to the increased number of interactive operations in VMES, participants can proficiently master the composition and working principles of equipment in substations, and cognitive load can be reduced.

Abstract:Substation is an indispensable part of power system, responsible for the heavy task of power transmission and redistribution, and plays a pivotal role in the safe and economic operation of power grid. This design builds a 110 KV step-down substation. First of all, select the connection mode of each voltage level and choose the best flexible connection mode in terms of technology and economy. Secondly, calculate that short-circuit current. Obtain the values of the short-circuit steady-state current and the impulse current when the short-circuit occurs in the working bus of each voltage level from the three-phase short-circuit calculation. Finally, the equipment selection is made according to the rated voltage and the maximum continuous operating current of each voltage level, and then verified.

Abstract:Abstract At present, most of the substation primary equipment inspection simulation training system still has many shortcomings, such as the high cost of the simulation system, the simulation effect is not intuitive enough, the simulation scene is not realistic enough and so on. Based on this, this paper first analyses the concept and function of computer VR simulation tech, then studies the characteristics of substation patrol simulation training system under VR tech, and finally gives the construction strategy and process of substation primary equipment patrol simulation training system based on computer VR tech.

Abstract:An approach to automatic generation of switching sequences for 500 kVShuanglong substation is presented in this paper. A method for developing an applied expert system is presented, which uses the technologies of modeling facility, special expert knowledge database, on line topology analysis algorithms, inference engine and so on. To solve the problem of automatic generation of operation orders for secondary devices, secondary devices are first modeled, and then special expert knowledge database is created. By using an on line topology analysis algorithm, the inference engine can search operation paths, and identify current operation status correctly. Having designed an explanation engine, the inference process and the used rules can be explained. A closed loop system for on line intelligent generation and supervisory function is formed. Since May 1999, this system has been used at 500kv Shuanglong substation in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province.

Abstract:According to the deficiencies of traditional substation simulation environment, distributed virtual reality technology is introduced into the substation simulation environment. The design of substation simulation model of distributed virtual environment is put forward. Based on the model, the paper proposes dynamic load balancing algorithm. Through the analysis and verification, the algorithm could satisfy scalability and real-time requirements of training of many participants in a virtual substation simulation environment.
