Empirical Study on Correlation Between Medical Investment and Consumption Based on Panel Data

Abstract:In order to transformate the economic growth mode,we should imperative reform to boost consumption to promote economic growth.Reform,perfecting the medical security system,reasonabllye increase health care expenditure,it can eliminate the majority of residents consumer concerns,driving the private consumption growth,both to help China's economy out of the downlink,and promote the transformation of economic growth mode.To 2011 four years of relevant data through 2008 consolidation in China 31 provinces and cities,by empirical analysis of panel data,studies the medical insurance relationship between spending and private consumption.The empirical results show that: the medical expenditure of urban residents consumption level has a strong role in promoting,but the correlation between expenditure and medical security of China's GDP is not significant,accelerate the construction of rural medical security system,and expanding the coverage of medical security system can effectively increase the consumption level of residents,further effectively to promote the social economic growth.
