Abstract:ABSTRACT:The paper introduces professor He Xiaohui's experience in treating chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).In his view, this disease is caused by deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality,and the basic pathogenesis of CAG is the deficiency of both qi and yin,the dampness and heat in the stomach,and the stasis of the collaterals of the stomach meridian.The site of CAG is stomach,and related closely with spleen,liver,gallbladder and kidney.Following the principle of the combination of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation,he puts forward a three-stage partition method,which is”cure the disease according to the syndrome,treat the disease combined with syndrome,treat the disease without syndrome directly”,advocates the application of balanced method,and creates the medical treatment of the syndrome differentiation”regulating gastritis with eight prescriptions” and the disease differentiation”shuang pu powder”,which can effectively reverse the pathological changes of chronic atrophic gastritis,and prevent the incidence of gastric cancer.

Abstract:Prof.Xu Feng has unique understanding in the treatment of insomnia and has accumula ted rich clinical experiences.Prof.Xu believes that insomnia is divided into two categories,the deficiency and the excess.The deficiency pattern may be transformed into the excess one,or the mixture of both happens.The treatment of insomnia should focus on regulating and consolidating the spleen and the stomach functions.The four diagnostic methods and differentiation should be considered accordingly in the cases of blood stagnation,heat accumulation and damp involved.The modified herbal formulas are used to removing stasis,clearing heat and reducing damp so as to eliminate the pathogens and strengthen the spleen and stomach.As a result,the qi and blood circulation is regulated and the function of spleen and stomach in transformation and transportation is benefited.Additionally,the advice on the proper diet and regulate food intake should be given to cultivate the function of spleen for strengthening the functions of zangfu organs,supplementing qi and blood and harmonizing yin and yang.Consequently,insomnia is prevented.

Abstract:Professor ZHENG Qing-lian thinks that deficiency of kidney essence, liver depression, blood stasis and sputum blockage are the pathogenesis of premature ovarian failure. The coordination of liver ruling smooth qi low and kidney storing possession is the physiological basis of the regular menstrual cycle. Normal discharge of ova by the transforming of yin to yang, menses start by transforming of yang to yin, these are two key points when the conversion of the menstrual cycle during the growth and decline of yin and yang. According to the pathogenesis and clinical features of premature ovarian function, he develops a two-stage and three-period therapy method(menstruation period, late menstruation period, premenstrual period). Regulating liver and tonifying kidney based on the menstrual cycle is a useful method in treating premature ovarian failure. It achieves a satisfactory clinical ei cacy.

Abstract:Uterine dysplasia is a common cause of infertility. Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the treatment of this disease. This paper introduces a case of infertility caused by uterine dysplasia treated by Professor MA Kun who adopted the therapy of tonifying kidney and activating blood, aiming to summarize the theoretical foundation and formula principles of Professor MA Kun in the clinical treatment of this disease. The kidney stores essence and governs reproduction. Kidney deficiency is the root cause of infertility. The deficiencies in kidney Qi, Yin, and Yang can result in blood stasis to obstruct the uterus, leading to insufficient source for essence and aggravating kidney deficiency. Kidney deficiency and blood stasis affect each other and form a vicious cycle, resulting in uterine dysplasia due to insufficient nutrition and difficult pregnancy. Therefore, Professor MA Kun believes that kidney deficiency and blood stasis is the key pathogenesis of infertility caused by uterine dysplasia and proposes the treatment principle of tonifying kidney and activating blood. Sufficient essence and Qi in the kidney can resolve stasis and generate blood, thus harmonizing Yin and Yang, which can reach thoroughfare and conception vessels to nourish the uterus and recover the normal physiological function of the uterus. In that case, normal pregnancy is possible. Professor MA Kun attaches importance to the therapeutic principle of supplementing Qi and nourishing blood. In addition, she advocates conforming to changes in the menstrual cycle to promote the development of the uterus and the implantation of fertilized eggs. She also integrates traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine to treat both symptoms and root causes. Professor MA Kun's experience has demonstrated definite clinical effect on this disease and can be taken as a reference.

Abstract:Hunan's famous traditional Chinese physician Wang Aihua thinks that the deficiency of stomach Qi is the primary factor of ulcerative colitis, while damp-heat was the symptomatic factor, heat-toxicity causing bloody stool, blood stasis is the local pathological change, intestine sores is local pathological characteristics. Abstract:Objective:To analyze and summarize the characteristics of TCM syndromes and treatment in male patients with infertility at -tributing to non-liquefaction semen based on TCM literatures review .Methods:Literatures on TCM syndrome of male patients with infer-tility attributing to non-liquefaction semen published from 2002 to 2012 were retrieved from CNKI database .The selected literatures were recruited in a new database .The characteristics of TCM syndromes and treatment in male patients with infertility were further analyzed and summarized.Results:Among the recruited 39 literatures, 19 articles were on syndrome differentiation and treatment , 15 articles were on special prescription treatment , 5 articles were on integrated treatment of CTM and western medicine .In 19 articles on syndrome differentiation and treatment , top 5 of syndrome type with frequency were as follows: deficiency of kidney yin , damp-heat diffusing down, deficiency of kidney yang , phlegm-accumulation stasis , deficiency of kidney yin and damp-heat diffusing down .The given treat-ment was considered as the syndrome differentiation and the complex pathogenesis .The high frequency of traditional Chinese medicine category in the 15 articles on TCM special prescription and 5 articles on integrated TCM and western medicine were as follows , nouris-hing yin and clearing heat , cooling blood to remove blood stasis , clearing heat and removing dampness , resolving hard lump .Among all the prescriptions , it indicated that the complex mechanism for infertility male attributing to non-liquefaction semen targeted on notifying yang .The characteristics for the treatment to combine differentiation of TCM sydrom and diseases revealed that it is necessary to reinforce insufficiency and reduce excessiveness , keep balance between Yin and Yang .Conclusion:The mechanism of male infertility attributing to non-liquefaction semen is complex , mingled with excess and deficiency syndromes .The scheme of treatment on this disease is deter-mined on the situation of patients .It is necessary to weigh and consider balance between insufficiency and excessiveness .

Abstract:Treating different diseases by the same method is one of the most important characteristics in Chinese medicine, and as the main principle of treatment it has been widely applied in Chinese clinics. Its clinical effect is clear. The integration of 'differentiation of diseases' and 'differentiation of syndrome' should be the prerequisite and basis of 'treating different diseases by the same method'. Only if different diseases have the same syndrome, the same treatment can be used on them. Replenishing qi and strengthening Shen is a widely used method that carries out 'treating different diseases by the same method'. It is indicated that the method of 'replenishing qi and strengthening Shen' has preferable effects on many diseases. Part of its mechanism is associated with the improvement of function of neuro-endocrine-immune network, and therefore, it has the clinical effect of 'adjustment of the whole and improvement of the part' on partial disorders. Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), uterine bleeding in puberty, anovulatory infertility, Kidney syndrome and aging, although they are attributed to different diseases and states, only if they have the syndrome of Shen deficiency, the principle of 'treating different diseases by the same method' and the method of 'replenishing qi 'and strengthening Shen' can be used effectively.

Abstract:Glomerular hematuria is one of the common symptoms of kidney disorders in clinic. Most patients of glomerular hematuria suffered from primary glomerular disease,such as acute or chronic glomerulo-nephritis and IgA nephropathy,or secondary glomerular disease such as anaphylactic purpura nephritis and lupus nephritis. In clinic,glomerular hematuria is complicated,difficulty in treatment and repeated attacks. This disease is classified into two categories,named gross hematuria and microscopic hematuria,the latter is common. Glomerular hematuria is in the category of“bloody urine”in traditional Chinese medicine and also named as“Sou Xue”and“Ni Xue”in ancient literatures. At present,there is no any effective therapeutic method in western medicine. According to the clinical experiences of Prof. Qiao Cheng - lin,Prof. Qiao thought that this disease was differentiated as the deficiency and the excess in pathogenesis. The excess syn-drome of it included damp heat in the lower Energizer and heat entering Ying and Xue levels. The deficiency syndrome included the dysfunction of the spleen and kidney and the internal heat of yin deficiency. The paper summarized the experiences of Prof. Qiao Cheng - lin in the treatment of glomerular hematuria and expounded systematically his understandings on the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease,syndrome differentiation, treatment as well as herbal medicine application in terms of traditional Chinese medicine.

Abstract:Male sterility affects human reproduction seriously. Modern medicine has not yet fully understood the reasons for abnormal sperm, so clinical treatment is mainly based on experience, but the effect is inaccurate.
