Abstract:Through the ways of literature data and mathematical statistics,we analyzed the development pattern of tennis,start time and rank improving and rank retentiveness of elite athlete out and inside of China(top 10 in the world,Zheng Jie,Li Na,Peng Shuai).It is concluded that competitive nations of tennis are mainly in Europe and powerful nations are Russia,France and Spain,so we should reinforce the research on organization,development and training in these countries.Elite athletes have the characteristic of early start time,early beginning professional match,early being in outstanding level and strong ability of rank retentiveness and so on,which highlights the systematism,scientificity and individuation of modern tennis training.In the overall average intensity tennis is a typical aerobic energy sport,but locally it is an anaerobic sport and has high demand on speed and endurance of athlete.

Abstract:ABSTRACT Introduction: Special physical exercise and exceptional physical fitness are an assuredly positive combination for winning. Good exceptional physical fitness is an essential prerequisite for athletes to win competitions. Objective: This study mainly explores the relationship between the functional performance of specialized sports athletes and the performance of specific physical fitness to optimize the functional training and specific physical fitness training system of male tennis players. Methods: The article selects six tennis players as the research objects and conducts active movement monitoring and physical fitness training. Results: Athletes have poor stability in the core area and poor flexion flexibility of both hips and ankles in a symmetrical posture. There is a significant correlation between the functional movement screening test and the tennis-specific physical fitness performance test results. Conclusions: Only by studying body shape and function can we guide the diagnoses and evaluation of an athlete's physical function. We need to formulate reasonable strengthening measures based on the analysis of body shape and function. Only in this way can the athlete's body shape and physical function be effectively enhanced. Abstract:ABSTRACT Introduction: The current challenge in tennis training in China is the integration with technology because, with the existing training methods, coaches and players pay little attention to strategies using a simple and retrograde tactical training method. Solutions need to be created to meet the development requirements of modern tennis. Objective: This paper aims to analyze tennis players’ technical level, tactical characteristics, and training methods in sports competitions. Methods: Eight male tennis players were randomly selected as research volunteers. The various tactics employed by the subjects under competition were observed. Based on the collected data, a mathematical-statistical analysis of the tennis players’ technical usage and training performance was prepared. Results: The athletes in this study could use various offensive tactics during and after the experiment. The athletes have a strong offensive baseline and can use a combination of speed, spin, and positioning to restrict each other during the competition. However, there were significant differences in the players’ awareness of offensive tactics on defense (P<0.05). Conclusion: Most athletes perform consistently and heterogeneously in stalemate tactics. A weakness noted was that most athletes are not showing good efficiency in scoring when stalemate presents opportunities. The results of this study can improve the scoring rate of tennis players. At the same time, this study's findings may strengthen tennis players’ ability to control the game during sports competitions. Abstract:ABSTRACT Introduction: Tennis is a competitive sport endowed with subtle movements, sophisticated and changeable techniques and tactics, and intense confrontation. It has high demands on the athlete's physical and psychological qualities. To win high-level professional tennis events, in addition to basic skills, comprehensive technical and tactical abilities, stable psychological quality, and flexible and innovative thinking, tennis players must also have exceptional physical fitness. Objective: Study the index system for evaluating the sport-specific skills of tennis athletes. Methods: 30 youth tennis training athletes were selected. Research methods such as literature, expert interview, questionnaire, and mathematical statistics were used to construct the fitness evaluation index of Chinese professional tennis players. Results: Professional tennis players’ specific fitness assessment indexes include one first-level index, 14 second-level indexes, and 23 three-item indexes. Conclusion: Young athletes must strengthen their agile attack speed, explosive strength, core strength, and coordination. The individual indicators are weighted according to individual standards of physical training level. Thus, the five first-level indicators and specific fitness standards are established in this paper. The results of this research have guiding significance for the formulation and implementation of further tennis education and training plans. Abstract:In the current game of tennis, it is very important for competitive players to possess a high level of perceptual, cognitive, and motor skills. To reach this level, many sciences have contributed to the substantiation of the training process: physiology, psychology, biochemistry, etc. In recent years, specialists have been concerned with identifying and determining new factors that facilitate the learning of technical elements and tactical actions used in tennis. Contemporary tennis, through its specificity, requires coaches to understand and have the ability to implement different forms of practice that will increase the efficiency of the tennis learning process. The present paper makes an analysis of specialized perceptions that underlie the tennis learning process and guide the optimization of the training process at the beginner level. Associations that lead to functional results are distinctive marks of sports performance in tennis. Thus, understanding how tasks, the environment, and the body interact to influence the formation of these synergies is essential. Depending on the results achieved, we will be able to determine the importance of developing coordination abilities (spatiotemporal orientation ability, the ability to combine and connect movements, balance ability, kinaesthetic differentiation ability, motor reaction ability, movement transformation ability, rhythmic ability) in order to optimize the game of tennis for children aged 8-10 years.

Abstract:As interest in competitive sports continues to grow, the demand for sports talent also increases. Talent development is not only a social and cultural process, but also one of mutual adaptation between talent and environment. The key elements of the macro environment of talent development are the social environment and the values and customs of the athletes' own culture, while the key elements of the micro environment of talent development are the athletes' interpersonal relationships and support elements provided through parents, coaches, and peers. To cultivate elite athletes, the influencing factors of the sports talent development environment must be analyzed. Thus, using relevant theories from the existing literature, the current study proposes a hypothesis of the influencing factors and structural equation model of sports talent development environment. A total sample of 352 athletes ( M = 13.96 years, 63.35% male) was gathered from the national sports reserve talent base, college sports teams, and professional sportsmen. Data was collected using the Likert six-level scale of the sports talent development environment, which was then analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software. The results show that the athlete's training environment, support network, family characteristics, communication, and team conditions were all factors which had a positive and significant impact on the construction of sports talents' development environment. The findings of this study contribute to the theoretical foundation for the enhancement of the sports talent development environment in China, the cultivation of high-quality sports talent, and the promotion of healthy and stable sports development.

ON THE QUALITY STANDARDS FOR SELECTING WOMEN VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

Abstract:INTRODUCTION In the past, because of differences in selecting parameters, it was difficult for the coaches to determine which athlete had better quality, thus it affected the accuracy of selecting voIleybal1 players. The purpose of this study was to use unified standards of selecting parameters to decide on the quality patterns and evaluating standards of selecting women volleyball players. . METHODS This study chose 240 excellent women volleyball players as the object of study. Based on the statistic analysis of the investigation of these players combined with the biomechanic principle of the volleyball sports and the growing characteristics of women, the selecting targets were determined by using the "Delphi Methods". RESULTS The result of this study was that the reliable objective and effective quantitative standards were established for selecting women volleyball players scientifically by adapting the formulas of The selecting targets were that figure made up 40% function made up 10% sports capacity amounted to 45% and psychology accounted for 5%. CONCLUSIONS The standards worked out in this study provided the objective and quantitative evaluating standards for selecting women volleyball players. They will play an active part in quickening the process and increasing the success of selecting women volleyball players and also offer a series of convenient and practical methods and standards in volleyball players. Abstract:This study examines the competencies of tennis coaches and the coaching preferences of collegiate athletes in Henan Province, China. Drawing on a quantitative research design, the study aims to assess the relationship between coaches' professional competencies and their demographic characteristics, as well as the alignment between these competencies and athletes' coaching preferences. A survey instrument was administered to tennis coaches and student-athletes from five universities in Henan Province. The results reveal key strengths and areas for improvement in tennis coaching, and identify athlete preferences that can inform coach education and training programs. The findings have implications for enhancing coaching quality, athlete development, and the overall effectiveness of tennis programs in higher education.

Abstract:Background: The top 100 ATP/WTA ranking points are a crucial indicator of entry into the high-level world of tennis players, and the number of players from a nation in this ranking reflects the overall level of their tennis. However, the growth time series characteristics of elite tennis athletes are unclear. Objective: This study aims to examine the historical career ranking changes of elite players and provide valuable insights for aspiring young players looking to achieve success in the sport. At the same time, it is of great significance for the efficient and sustainable cultivation of Chinese tennis players. Methods: Data on the rankings of 202 players were analyzed, Spearman and Pearson correlations were employed to investigate the association between ranking and time-use patterns. The variance test was utilized to compare disparities in time characteristics of the ranking, with a statistical significance level of p<0.05. Results: There was a significant correlation between the time of entering the professional tournament ranking system and the ranking, top 100 time, top 100 age, and age of starting tennis. Top 50 ATP players are earlier than those ranked 51-100. There was a significant difference between the age of starting tennis and the time to top 10 among the ATP and WTA players. Chinese female players showed no significant differences compared to their global Top 10 counterparts in terms of time-to-success characteristics. Conclusion: The elite tennis players who achieve success typically start playing and competing in the sport at a young age, with professional competition often commencing around 18 years of age. Notably, these players frequently attain high rankings before reaching the age of 20. Furthermore, top 10 ATP male players tend to start tennis at an earlier age and require a shorter time to achieve a top 10 ranking compared with WTA female players.

Abstract:The tennis industry in China is rapidly developing, necessitating a focused effort to enhance the capabilities of tennis coaches to meet the demands of this rapid growth. This study utilizes various research methods including literature review, field surveys, key event technique interviews, Delphi method, and statistical analysis to explore the essential competencies required of Chinese tennis coaches. A competency model consisting of four dimensions and 14 competency indicators has been established, covering cognitive abilities (coaching philosophy, professional experience, analysis, learning), professional skills (training program development, player guidance, motivation), management abilities (communication skills, influence, coordination, problem-solving), and personal traits (achievement motivation, innovation, emotional control). Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis demonstrate that the four-dimensional model exhibits a high level of fit across various fit indices, validating the model effectively. Furthermore, a 36-question assessment scale has been designed to evaluate these competency characteristics. Survey results indicate that Chinese tennis coaches excel primarily in professional skills, followed by personal traits, management abilities, and cognitive capabilities. By employing this model, a structured coach selection approach has been proposed, providing crucial support for enhancing human resource management in Chinese tennis.
Impact of Fitness Characteristics on Tennis Performance in Elite Junior Tennis Players

Abstract:The impact of fitness characteristics on tennis performance in adolescent players is not clearly understood. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to test whether physical characteristics are related to players' competitive level (i.e., national youth ranking). A secondary aim was to compare adolescent tennis players by performance level (i.e., regional selected players and the national team). A total of 902 male and female junior players (aged, 11-16 years) in Germany were evaluated using a physical testing battery: grip strength; countermovement jump; 10 and 20-m sprint; tennis-specific sprint; overhead, forehand, and backhand medicine ball throws (MBT); serve velocity and tennis-specific endurance test (hit and turn tennis test). Results showed that serve velocity (r = -0.43 to 0.64 for female subjects [♀]; r = -0.33 to 0.49 for male subjects [♂]) and upper-body power (e.g., MBT r = -0.26 to -0.49 ♀; r = -0.20 to -0.49 ♂) were the most correlated predictors of tennis performance (i.e., national youth ranking) in both female and male tennis players. Moreover, national selected players showed better performance levels than their regional counterparts, mainly in the most predictive physical characteristics (i.e., serve velocity: effect size [ES], 0.78-1.04 ♀; ES 0.92-1.02 ♂, MBT: ES, 0.66-0.88 ♀; ES, 0.67-1.04 ♂) and specific endurance (ES, 0.05-0.95 ♀; ES, 0.31-0.73 ♂). The present findings underline the importance of certain physical attributes, especially serve velocity and strength- and power-related variables (upper body), and suggest the need to include these parameters in the area of training, physical testing, and talent identification of young tennis players.

Abstract:Chinese tennis started later, development was relative stable, though it was recognized by many Chinese, it still not yet arrived at rapidly development track. In the environment of 21st century, China not only need to develop economy, but also should improve concern over Chinese sports, because current international competition is the competition of comprehensive national strength. Under contemporary environment background, the paper firstly utilizes statistical analysis and numeric analysis, from Chinese professional tennis athlete gender proportion, professional athlete age phase distribution, it is clear that Chinese female professional tennis athlete proportion further enlarges, and gets excellent result; secondly, from contemporary Chinese professional tennis players ranking in WTA, it finds that though Chinese tennis strength has some improvements, comparing to Russia and others numerous tennis powers, gap is still very significant; finally, applies fuzzy correlation analysis method, it analyzes Chinese tennis sound rapid development influence factors, and points out coaches’ levels, fields investment, China’s adolescent early period cultivation and potentials exploitation, age structure, players’ cultural qualities and physical qualities as well as others are important influence factors that affect Chinese tennis development, which provides some references for Chinese tennis development.

Abstract:ABSTRACT Introduction: Strength training plays a unique role in improving muscle strength and stability in athletes. Initially used in rehabilitation, it is now widely used in competitive sports. Objective: To combat the problem of physical exercise capacity and body posture maintenance when tennis players complete several complex movements in training, this article reviews the research on strength training in various countries from the core concept. Methods: Based on the main bones, joints, and muscle groups in the core area, the kinematic characteristics, and the physiological mechanism of these muscle groups, the research model of applying strength training in teaching tennis was established. The application of state-of-the-art computer technology in strength training can be based on data feedback from athletes and their training in tennis training. It can be used for real-time or faster data processing and analysis: data processing is closer to the data source than in an external data center or done in the cloud to reduce lag time. Results: Based on the data, we can carry out the corresponding training plans to help the athletes win the championship. With the methods of literature review, experiment, and comparative analysis, this paper studies the influence of strength training on body shape characteristics, the impact of strength training on technical accuracy characteristics, and the effect of strength training on physical health indicators. Conclusion: The results show that the accuracy of the experimental data is improved by 20%, and the authenticity of the data is more robust, thus of practical value. Abstract:This study presents a comprehensive literature review on skill development in table tennis, focusing on various factors that influence expertise in the sport. The research synthesizes findings from multiple studies to understand the effectiveness of mental training programs, the relationship between cognitive functions and table tennis skills, differences between elite and sub-elite players, the impact of visual attention on performance, the effects of plyometric training on serve performance, and the comparison of practice schedules for skill learning and retention. Additionally, the paper explores the stages of tennis forehand attacking technique development, encompassing generalization, differentiation, consolidation, and automation stages, while discussing individual and environmental factors influencing skill development, highlighting the importance of early learning experiences, motivation, intelligence, and family support. Furthermore, the research delves into the history of table tennis performance evaluation methods, including video observation, expert interviews, and the four-stage index evaluation, establishing the reciprocal relationship between skill development and sports performance, emphasizing how enhanced athletic performance fosters skill mastery and vice versa. The findings underscore the significance of mental preparation, cognitive functions, technical proficiency, visual attention, and practice structuring in the pursuit of expertise in table tennis, indicating that incorporating mental training, cognitive training, specialized practice, and plyometric exercises can be beneficial for skill development and performance improvement in the sport.

Abstract:Background and Aim: Founded in 1955, the Chinese Table Tennis Association (CTA) is a national mass sports organization with an independent legal personality, headquartered in Beijing. It is a national social organization representing China's table tennis activities and the only legal organization representing China in international table tennis activities and the International Table Tennis Federation (FITT), and is the permanent office of the Table Tennis and Badminton Management Centre of the General Administration of Sport of China. However, in the process of the development of the Chinese Table Tennis Association (CTA), several problems have arisen, four of which are more prominent: the first is the problem of talent shortage, the second is the lack of sponsorship, the third is the institutional problem, and the fourth is the problem of competitive pressure. The objective of this research is qualitative research and aims to present a model for developing excellent athletes of the Chinese Table Tennis Association Materials and Methods: How to conduct research to Structured interviews used Bridge and Roqnemore planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. The sample of 19 persons was selected as follows: 1 former association executive; 5 people, 2 trainers, 7 people, 3 athletes, and 7 champions. The 1st round of interviews takes the data to estimate the scale 5 Level and takes it to the 2nd round there is no need to interview in the 2nd round. PSYCHOMOTOR AND COGNITIVE SKILLS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN TENNIS PLAYERS AT NATIONAL LEVEL

Abstract:Tennis has become an extremely complex sport, with tennis players needing a team of specialists to maximise their sports performance. Performance tennis has proven that the difference between the players, in the conditions of similar technical-tactical performances, is made by the physical and mental training. Our paper aimed to investigate the subjective reality of junior tennis players in order to optimise their actions and activities by identifying a psychomotor and cognitive model of athletes ranked in the top area nationally. The research involved 75 tennis players - 40 boys and 35 girls aged between 14 and 16 years. The materials used were represented by the PSISELTEVA psychological testing system developed by the RQ Plus Company and calibrated to the Romanian population, which contains: levers, desk with buttons, pedals. The tests belonging to the computerised battery used in the research are: TRS (simple reaction time), TRD (discrimination reaction time), RCMV (intersegmental coordination), TUD (eye-hand coordination), ANALOGIE (analogical transfer), TAC (attention concentration), MT (topographical memory) and RNE (resistance to mental fatigue). Through the Mann-Whitney (U) test, significant differences were identified between the first tennis players in the national ranking and the players placed in the middle or final zone of the ranking, in terms of different psychomotor and cognitive coordinates (investigated in various environmental conditions). The results obtained are useful both for specialists working in the field of tennis (coaches, sports psychologists, physical trainers), athletes (boys and girls) aspiring on the road to great performance, but also for sports clubs.
