Abstract:With the flourishing of cloud computing industry,the rational management and scientific scheduling of cloud computing servers has become an important issue.In terms of model,a new mixed integer programming (MIP) model with affinity constraints and anti-affinity constraints was proposed to describe the scheduling problem of large scale cloud computing server.Considering the time cost of solving large-scale MIP problems,an optimal two element exchange algorithm was designed with the basics of branch and bound method and local search algorithm.By constantly extracting MIP sub-problems from completing scheduling problems and using branch and bound method to solve the sub-problems,the algorithm continuously optimized the server scheduling schemes,so that the scheduling schemes approached the optimal solution.The experimental results show that the algorithm has great advantages over the other methods in testing data set ALISS,and can reduce the resource consumption of cloud computing center by more than 4% when the same task is completed.

Abstract:With the expanding of network scale and the constructing of Universal Carrying Network,there arise consistency problems of distributed system resource access and allocation.According to problems of data consistency,logic consistency and time consistency,in order to coordinate access,ensure validity of access(without phenomena of deadlock and starvation);it is a key issue to design mutual exclusion algorithm ensuring consistency.Common algorithms ensuring consistency are described from several system aspects in this paper,including non-token-ring-based mutual exclusion algorithm,token-ring-based mutual exclusion algorithm,election algorithm,Ethernet conflict detection and avoidance mechanism and consistency algorithm used in new network.

Abstract:Grid computing has emerged as an important new field, distinguished from conventional distributed computing by its focus on large-scale resource sharing, innovative applications, and high-performance orientation. A Grid integrates and coordinates resources and users that live within different control domains with the goal of delivering nontrivial quality of service (QoS). Consequently, task management and scheduling is of central importance for the Grid-based systems. In this paper, we model the task dispatching and selecting on the distributed Grid computing system by a multiserver multiqueue (MSMQ) model, and propose a modeling and analysis technique based on Stochastic Petri Net (SPN) methods. An approximate analysis technique is also proposed to reduce the complexity of the model.

Abstract:The development of network technology and parallel computation provides dramatically opportunity for complicate Optimization Computing Research. This paper brings forward the concept of Optimization Computing Service, which is the theoretic foundation for designing the framework of Optimization Computing Service Platform-MetaSolver. MetaSlover consist of User Interface, Storage Service. Monitor, Dispatcher, Executor etc. Multiple solvers and multiple tasks could be scheduled and executed cooperatively and efficiently based on dynamic load balance algorithm and its implementation is detailed. Numerical experiments conducted on MetaSolver, which are applied to different fields, demonstrates that the Optimization Computing Service Platform is feasible and effective.

Abstract:Multicast is an important research topic for the Internet.Recent research shows some intrinsic limitation in IP Multicast,and Application Layer Multicast (ALM) is proposed.In this article we discuss and classify some major algorithms proposed for ALM.The fundamental problems in ALM research are identified and the metrics for evaluation of ALM algorithms are summarized.Some topics (e.g.,Overlay Network,media encoding method) are also discussed for their close relationship with ALM research.Finally,some possible directions for future research are discussed.

Abstract:Net lock assures mutual exclusion resource security in the multi computer system. Its efficiency is a sticking point for site number expansion. So, after analyzing some exclusion algorithms, the paper advances a new way that chooses different control site for different resource through combination of distributing and centralizing, and transfers valid petitions, deletes invalid petitions when a site errors, and retransfers some petitions to the site who is activated. Proved by performance analysis, the way has the least mes- sages and great ability of managing errors, until the system has only one site, the net lock still accurately performs.

Abstract:In order to improve the throughput, response speed and scalability of Web servers, the optimal local request-dispatch algorithm designed for the heterogeneous Web servers clusters, named LTI (least time increment), was proposed, which considers not only difference in performance between the servers, but also the contents of coming HTTP requests and the current load level of each server on the cluster. The remodelled algorithm of LTI, named LTI+, was also presented to prevent the cluster close to critical state. The experimental results have shown that the algorithm is effective and has better performance in tracking analysis and dispatch of load for the cluster.

But the large delay and the instability lead to many issues as reliability, scalability and ordered performance, which confined its extensive application. Abstract:As an effective means of VOD service,multicast has been researched for about ten years. Many algorithms of it have been matured. But there are only a few papers about multicast schedule supporting VCR functions. The rea- son is that supporting VCR functions will increase the complexity of schedule of the server,and will decrease its capa- bility. In this paper,we present a rnulticast scheduling algorithm VCRSM provding VCR functions by extended stream merging. Active buffer management on client is used to partly satisfy the VCR actions of users. On server,original stream merging is modified to adapt to all VCR requests. We also put forward delay request to optimize the server's performence. When compared with other systems in simulation,VCRSM can satisfy all kinds of VCR functions with no delay,while occupying no more bandwidth than others.

Abstract:This paper discusses the scheduling and selecting schemes for multi-queue systems and provides the stochastic Petri net models for those schemes. The focus of this paper is on performance analysis and schemes. Optimality for those schemes is studied in this paper. Moreover, the multi-server multi-queue system models, the scheduling and selecting schemes and the analysis technique can be applied to performance evaluation of this class of various complex systems.

Abstract:Web server clusters has become a popular solution to achieve high performance due to their low price, high reliability, and good scalability. One of the key technologies is “request dispatching”, which is to centrally accept all the incoming HTTP requests and dispatch them to the servers in the cluster to achieve parallelism The research shows that the efficiency of request dispatching is determined by whether the server loads are balanced during the dispatching. spatching. This paper sudes the characteristics of the load generated by HTTP requests, gives an efficient method of load sampling, and preserts a novel request dispatching algorithm which can predict the load and balance it. The method can be used to build Web server clusters of heterogeneous machines.

In this paper, we take socket-programming to accomplish Client/Server model File Transfer System and develop multiple client,multiple files transferring simultaneously to support transmisson resuming at break-points efficent softwares and methods, which focused on solving the multi-threaded concurrency, transmission resuming at break-points, thread pool,buffer queue and other aspects of the problem. Our work is the basic foundation of FTP servers, file transfer software in Lan and large-scale examination system, etc.
SCSRM: A Splitting-Connection Scheme for Satellite Reliable Multicast

Abstract:In order to overcome the shortcomings of end-to-end transport protocols in satellite networks, a novel splitting-connection scheme for satellite reliable multicast (SCSRM) was proposed in this paper, and the transport protocol operating in space segment, Sat-MTCP was designed in detail from the aspects of error control, congestion control and feedback suppression, respectively. Simulation results show that this scheme achieves satisfying Goodput performance even if the channel condition gets worse; owing to the efficient feedback suppression policy and error recovery policy, the Goodput performance maintains smooth as the receivers increase; and fairness can be achieved by suitable bandwidth allocation.

Abstract:Server-centric data center architecture has been proposed to provide high throughput, scalable construction and error tolerance with commodity servers and switches for cloud data centers. To fully utilize those advantages of server-centric data center, an effective routing algorithm to find high quality multiple paths in Server-centric network is needed. However, current routing algorithms cannot achieve this completely: (1) the state-of-art routing algorithms in server-centric data center just consider hop count when selecting paths; (2) traditional multiconstraint QoS routing algorithms only find one feasible path and are usually switch-oriented; (3) present multi-path algorithms cannot guarantee the performance of the founded paths. In this paper, we propose a multi-constrained routing algorithm for server-centric data centers, named Server-Centric Multi-Constrained Routing Algorithm (SCRAT). This algorithm exploits the topology features of the Server-Centric data center to decrease the algorithm complexity and returns optimal and feasible paths simultaneously. In simulations, SCRAT has a very high probability (more than 96 %) to find the exact optimal path, and the cost of the optimal path found in SCRAT is about 10 % less compared with path found in previous TS MCOP. Compared with previous MPTCP, SCRAT reduces the path delay by 18 % less and increase the bandwidth

Abstract:In this paper,a scalable and distributed mail system technology is proposed.By the way of remote procedure call and dynamic load balance calculation,mails can be stored in multi-servers to overcome the low performance of single CPU and disk I/O,moreover,the faults tolerance function has been implemented by the data on-line backup.All the users can be allocated to various servers according to the user map structure,and rearranged to keep each server working when some servers are halted or new servers are added.The results show that the system's performance is growing linearly with the increased number of servers,and E-mail service can still be kept available in case of some servers shutdown.

Abstract:Recently there emerge many distributed algorithms that aim at solving subgraph matching at scale. Existing algorithm-level comparisons failed to provide a systematic view to the pros and cons of each algorithm mainly due to the intertwining of strategy and optimization. In this paper, we identify four strategies and three general-purpose optimizations from representative state-of-the-art works. We implement the four strategies with the optimizations based on the common Timely dataflow system for systematic strategy-level comparison. Our implementation covers all representation algorithms. We conduct extensive experiments for both unlabelled matching and labelled matching to analyze the performance of distributed subgraph matching under various settings, which is finally summarized as a practical guide.

Abstract:Data collaboration between supercomputer centers requires a lot of data migration. In order to increase the efficiency of data migration, it is necessary to design optimal path of data transmission among multisupercomputer centers. Based on the situation that the target center which finished receiving data can be regarded as the new source center to migrate data to others, we present a parallel scheme for the data migration among multisupercomputer centers with different interconnection topologies using graph theory analysis and calculations. Finally, we verify that this method is effective via numeric simulation.

Abstract:In XML publish/subscribe system,, multi-query join involves the processing of subscriptions of several XML documents, including XPath evaluation, comparison computation and time management. XML join algorithm based on sharing observes that much join computation can be shared by several subscriptions to save the computation time of join. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm is efficient and suitable for the system of millions of subscriptions.
