Abstract:Objective To observe the changes of serum transforming growth factor-β_1(TGF-β_1) and connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) in patienls with chronic heart failure(CHF) and and its clinical significance.Methods Collected105 cases of patients with CHF as CHF group,with 68 cases of healthy people as healthy control group.Serum TGF-p,,CTGF levels and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular mass index(LVMI) changes were analyzed.Results CHF patients' serum TGF-p,,CTGF were significantly higher than the healthy group(P 0.01);TGF-p,,CTGF increased in parallel with the severity of heart failure;TGF-p,,CTGF were negatively correlated with LVEF(r =-0.638,P 0.01;r =-0.743,P 0.01),and LVMI(r =0.630,P 0.01;r =0.748,P 0.0I),NYHA functional class(r = 0.647,P 0.01;r =0.753,P 0.01) were positive correlated.Conclusion Serum TGF-β_1,CTGF participate in the pathophysiological process of CHF;serum CTGF levels can be used as biological indicators of the diagnosis and determine the severity of heart failure.
