Abstract:4-Iodobenzoyl hydrazin(2) reaction with arylaldehydes produced corresponding hydrazones(3a～h).Then 3a～h respectively cyclodehydrated with acetic anhydride to afford 2-aryl-3-N-acetyl-5-(4-iodophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazoline(4a～h).The structures of 4a～h were confirmed by elementary analyses,IR,1H NMR,and MS spectroscopy.

Abstract:An efficient synthesis of novel phenoxyimine ligands containing a difluorovinylbiphenyl group was based on the Suzuki coupling coupling of 4-bromo-2,6-difluoroaniline with 4-styrylboronic acid followed by a condensation reaction with various arylaldehydes. The structures were established by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra and HRMS. The advantages of this synthetic route were its simple operation, mild reaction conditions and good yields.

Abstract:A synthetic route for the preparation of 2-(benzylthio)-5-[1-(4-fluorobenzyl)-3-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl]-1,3,4-oxadiazoles derivatives from ethyl 3-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylate has been developed. The configurations of the intermediate 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione and 3-bromobenzylthio substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The in vitro xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity of these compounds was evaluated.

Abstract:The reactions of α-bromoacetophenones with methylhydrazine in refluxing acetic acid generated 2-methyl-4-aryl-2H-[1,2,3]triazoles in good yields. The method was developed by the reactions of α-bromoacetophenones with phenylhydrazines in the presence of cupric ion, leading to 2,4-diary-2H-[1,2,3]triazoles. The structures were established on the basis of corresponding IR, 1H NMR, and elemental analysis data.

Abstract:A facile method for preparation of 5-methyl-5-[5-(tert-butyldimethylsiloxymethyl)-3-isoxazolyl]-3-aryl-4-(4-methyloxyphenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazoles (4a similar to 4e) via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of Schiff bases derived from 3-acetyl-5-hydroxymethylisoxazoles and nitrile oxides in situ generated from oximes was described. 5-(tert-Butyldimethylsiloxymethyl)-3-(1,5-diaryl-4,5-dihydropyrazol-3-yl)isoxazoles (6a similar to 6i) were also prepared through cycloaddition of aryl hydrazine and alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones (5) derived from 3-acetyl-5-hydroxylmethylisoxazoles. The structures of all new compounds were characterized by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, MS, IR and HRMS spectra.

Abstract:Reaction of 2-arylchromone-4-semicarbazones with POCI3 in the presence of SOCl2, followed by treatment with EtOH or MeOH gave 4-aryl-3,4-dihydrochromeno[3,4-d][1,2,3]diazaphospholes. Abstract:2-Aminophenols underwent the Ugi four-component reaction (U-4CR) with trans-cinnamic acids, aromatic aldehydes and isocyanides in MeOH (50 degrees C, 48 h) to give the linear alpha-[N-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-substituted amido] carboxamides in 54-80% yields. Treatment of the 2-hydroxyphenyl moiety in the U-4CR products with NaH and PhNTf2 afforded the corresponding aryl triflates (77-100%), which were subjected to the intramolecular Heck reaction (IMHR) catalyzed by 3-5 mol% Pd(OAc)(2)-BINAP (MeCN, 180 degrees C, 30-60 min) under microwave heating to furnish alpha-(3-arylidene-2-oxindol-1-yl) carboxamides in 52-77% yields.

Abstract:A novel and convenient one-step method for the synthesis of 1,3,4,-Triaryl-substituted-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones (3) was developed by cyclization of aromatic isocyanates (1) with 3-arylamino-1-phenylpropan-1-ones (2) under refluxing of toluene. Effects of reaction conditions on the converting ratio and yield were investigated. The method offered several advantages including simple experimental procedure, easily available starting materials and excellent yields (79%similar to 96%).

Abstract:Many [1, 2, 4] triazolobenzoheteroazepine derivatives show interesting biological activities. In this paper, the geminal arylazo isocyanato compounds 3 were prepared from chroman-4-ones in three steps, i.e. condensation with arylhydrazine, cycloaddition of the resulting hydrazone with HNCO, and oxidative ring cleavage by KMnO4. Compounds 3 were allowed to react with HBF4, producing the respective 3-spiro substituted 1-aryl-4, 5-dihydro-5-oxo-3H-1, 2, 4-triazolium salts 4. The concurrent rearrangement of compound 4 with insertion of the nitrogen atom into the carbon skeleton provided, after the basic work-up, 2-oxo-[1, 2, 4] triazolo [3, 2-d] [1, 5] benzoxazepines 5a-5h. An unambigous structutal proof was obtained from the X-ray diffraction analysis for compound 5h.

Abstract:A phenazine-1-carboxylic acid intermediate was synthesized from the reaction of aniline and 2-bromo-3-nitro-benzoic acid. It was then esterified and reacted with hydrazine hydrate to afford phenazine-1-carboxylic hydrazine. Finally, 10 new hydrazone compounds 3a–3j were obtained by the condensation reaction of phenazine-1-carboxylic acid hydrazide and the respective aldehyde-containing compound. The structures were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, MS and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The antitumor activity of the target compounds in vitro (HeLa and A549) was determined by thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide. The results showed that compound (E)-N′-(2-hydroxy-4-(2-(piperidine-1-yl) ethoxy) benzyl) phenazine-1-carbonyl hydrazide 3d exhibited good cytotoxic activity.

Abstract:A facile and efficient method for the synthesis of 3-aryl-4-hydroxy-1,3-thiazolidin-2-ones by the reaction of 1,4-dithiane-2,5-diol with acyl azides is reported. This reaction proceeded well at 80 °C to afford products in excellent yields for a wide range of substrates. A possible mechanism has been proposed.

Abstract:Abstract: Novel hydrazones 4, 5, and oxime 6 were produced from the reaction of ketone 3 with hydrazine, phenylhydrazine, and hydroxylamine HCl, respectively. One pot multicomponent reaction of chalcones 7a-c, 3-(1H-indol-3-yl)-3-oxopropanenitrile 8, and ammonium acetate in MeOH at reflux temperature gave 2-(1H-indol-3-yl)-nicotinonitrile derivatives 10-12. Additionally, a one-pot reaction of chalcone 7a, malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate, and ammonium acetate in AcOH at reflux temperature afforded 6-aminopyridine derivatives 13 and 14, respectively.

Abstract:Synthesis of substituted 5‐aryl‐2,3‐dihydropyrazine 1,4‐dioxides. For the first time, a method for the synthesis of 2,3‐dihydropyrazine 1,4‐dioxide derivatives was devised. The presented approach is based on the reaction of N,N′‐(2,3‐dimethylbutane‐2,3‐diyl)bis(hydroxylamine) with α‐ketoaldehydes. A distinctive feature of the proposed protocol is the application of sulfate of the aforementioned bis‐hydroxylamine in the considered condensation. The advantages of the newly developed route are a one‐step synthetic procedure involving easily available starting materials, atom economy, and simple work‐up of the reaction mixture. The structure of one of the obtained products was confirmed by x‐ray analysis.

Abstract:2-Acryl-1,3-oxathiolane, 2-(2-furfuryl)-1,3-oxathiolane and 2-phenyl-1,3-oxathiolane were synthesized by the reaction of 2-mercaptan ethanol with crotonaldehyde, furfural and benzaldehyde respectively in the presence of p-toluene sulfonic acid, where benzene was used as azeotropic dehydration agent. The yields were 80%, 89% and 84% in turn. Structures of the compounds were identified by the data of IR spectrum, GC-MS spectrum and 1H NMR spectrum. The synthesis scheme was convenient and high yields were available.
