Abstract:The system can automatically identify the information on cards and convert it to DTMF(Double Tune Multiple Frequency) signals using bar code technology. With the electric characteristics matching, the scheme of the interface between bar code scanner and DTMF IC was developed using 89C51 as the control and interface core. The bar code coding standard was prescribed and the method to gain the power supply from telephone line was also introduced.

Abstract:Two-dimensional bar code is one of the most basic and key technologies to achieve the process of identifying information technology for the Internet of things. This paper focuses on book management based on two-dimensional bar code through Visual Basic.NET and SQL Server databases. It can achieve anti-counterfeiting, automatic book information entry, reader identification and library lending management. It can also achieve a seamless transition from the existing one-dimensional bar code ISBN to two-dimensional bar code ISBN.

Abstract:In order to find a solution to the barcode errors on cigarette case possibly occurred during barcode printing and barcode label application,a PC-based real-time on-line barcode monitoring system was designed,in which a barcode scanner cooperates with sensors and WinAC,and the software for PC-based control is adopted to carry out barcode scanning and identification,cigarette case rejecting and data statistics. The real-life application showed that the average numbers of missing coding and hash coding reduced from 5 cases/month and 1 case/month to zero,and the system ran steadily.

This paper discusses the key application of photoelectric information technology in barcode identification system, introduces the technology of photoelectric sensor, image processing and pattern recognition, and its role in improving the efficiency and accuracy of barcode recognition. [Applying bar code technology in nurses' medication administration]

Abstract:A bar code is a machine-readable, graphic representation of data that allows the use of a combination of bars and spaces of varying widths to obviate the need for manual keyboard data entry. Bar code technology is currently used in patient identification, laboratory specimen identification, blood transfusion and medication administration verification applications. Bar coding has also been employed to provide critical double checks for patient safety. Nurses should safeguard patients from medication errors. However, clinical nurses are sometimes the cause of problems in preparing medication due to various reasons. The introduction of bar code technology with electronic medication administration record could both help prevent medication errors and ensure the completeness of medication records. This paper briefly introduces bar code technology and bar code medication administration and reviews the efficiency of such systems and implementation issues. The goal is to provide an informative overview of bar code medication administration.

Abstract:Objective To match the laboratory results with application, transfer the results to corresponding department automatically, and achieve the automation of laboratory flow. Methods The sample was collected by pre-bar code sample container. The automatically digital working flow of application, examination and report was conducted by connecting the instruments and collecting the data.Results The efficiency was improved, and the artificial error during receiving laboratory application, reporting results and storing record was decreased.Conclusion The system can expedite the laboratory information communication, and scientize and standardize the management of hospital.

Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the application of bar code scanning system for medicine dispensing in the outpatients of our hospital.Method: The main compositions,working process and application of the bar code scanning system for medicine dispensing was introduced.The effects of the system on the medicine dispensing error rate,window residence time of patients and the stress of pharmacists were investigated.Result: The medicine dispensing error rate was decreased.The window residence time of patients was shortened.The patient medicine education was strengthened,and the stress of pharmacists was relieved.Conclusion: Bar code scanning system can obviously decrease the medicine dispensing error rate,shorten the window residence time of patients and improve the quality of pharmaceutical care in outpatient pharmacy.The practicality of the system is promising which obtains widespread praise from pharmacists and patients.

Abstract:Speed and accuracy of information access are essential in modern logistics operations. In this paper, the RFID technology is applied to logistics containers for keeping information dynamically, and the concept of information containers as opposed to logistics containersis put forward. In order to improve the efficiency of data access on tag, a set of RFID middleware named tag operation system (TOS) is proposed. Firstly, the tag memory is paged according to the length of the electronic product code (EPC). Secondly, a bitmap is built up in the tag memory to index the free memory space. Thirdly, the data storage format identifier (DSFID) is designed to make memory paging more flexible. Finally, real-time memory database is set up in the host computer to improve efficiency of tag data query. The experimental results show that TOS can greatly enhance the efficiency of the reader operations on tag. TOS can be widely applied to the applications of lifecycle management of articles. © Institute of Software Chinese Academy of Sciences.

QR code based Library management system is very efficient and reliable for Librarian, staff and students. This system will simplify library processes to keep track of all records, and make library more directly accessible to its users. In this system python Qt5 frame work application is being used for College Library database which can be accessed through out the institution. This system works in real time and easy access to information to every member associated with the system. Users must be registered with the system administration after which they can access their accounts and database. It reduces the bourdon on the librarian as it will help to track the books available and issued person for any book and total number of books along with ageing analysis.

Abstract:In many cases, databases are incompetent to meet the requirement of the quick query identification and processing of bar codes, such as the automatic sorting system of giant logistics warehouse. Bloom filter can be faster than databases, but its high false positive rate may seriously affect the efficiency of work. Although increasing the width of bit vector and the number of hash functions can reduce the false positive rate, the effect will be not significant after a certain threshold value, and this approach will increase the cost of processing time. So, it could not be increased indefinitely. This paper presents an improved algorithm based on Bloom filter and its application in bar code recognition and processing. The bit vector of Bloom filter is divided into two parts. Every element a(i) could be mapped to a part of the bit vector by some hash functions. For each element to amplify the difference by g (), which makes g (a(i))=a(i)(*), the a(i)(*) is mapped to another part of the bit vector by some hash functions too. This algorithm can significantly reduce the false positive rate of the Bloom filter, but does not increase much time and space costs.

Abstract:With the rapid development of nanotechnology, the bio-barcode assay (BCA), as a new diagnostic tool, has been gradually applied to the detection of protein and nucleic acid targets and small-molecule compounds. BCA has the advantages of high sensitivity, short detection time, simple operation, low cost, good repeatability and good linear relationship between detection results. However, bio-barcode technology is not yet fully formed as a complete detection system, and the detection process in all aspects and stages is unstable. Therefore, studying the optimal reaction conditions, optimizing the experimental steps, exploring the multi-residue detection of small-molecule substances, and preparing immuno-bio-barcode kits are important research directions for the standardization and commercialization of BCA. The main theme of this review was to describe the principle of BCA, provide a comparison of its application, and introduce the single-residue and multi-residue detection of macromolecules and single-residue detection of small molecules. We also compared it with other detection methods, summarized its feasibility and limitations, expecting that with further improvement and development, the technique can be more widely used in the field of stable small-molecule and multi-residue detection.
