Abstract:Injection molding process has the characters as multivariable,strong coupling,nonlinear,time-variable,etc.The mathematic model for plastic material melting process was established by mechanism analysis,and the parameters of the model were obtained by using recursive least square identification with forgetting factor online.Predictive functional controller was designed based on this mathematic model.Combined with expert control,the advanced process control system was obtained.The application result shows that the designed temperature control of plastic injection molding machine the advanced process control has good control performance and is much easier to operate than the fuzzy controller.

Abstract:The design of the imprinting machine for polymeric microfluidic chip was introduced.The imprinting machine can be heated and cooled by TEC,pressed by hydraulic pressure in a vacuum maintained by a pump.Realtime control between PC and PLC is realized through serial communication by freeport mode,and the control of temperature and pressure is realized by PLC.It is showed that the experimental results agree with the high quality and precision of the polymeric microfluidic chips made by this machine.

Abstract:The main principle and the characteristic of Predictive Functional Control (PFC) strategy are presented in this paper and the corresponding control system aid design software APC-PFC is also introduced. For a chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) process, a design scheme of cascade predictive functional control system is described and the control performance is improved obviously.

Abstract:Aiming at serious problems of controlling packing pressure in injection molding processes with traditional PID algorithm, such as pressure overshoot,static error,time delay etc.,a mathematical model of the packing pressure system in injection process was established.Considering the behaviors of system,a new control device with CMAC and PID compound controller was designed. The experimental results show that,compared to traditional PID control, CMAC and PID compound control improves the pressure overshoot,static error and time delay of the packing pressure significantly,and makes notable progresses on quality and repeatability of products.

Abstract:In order to meet the high-precision request of plastic products,reduce costs and energy lost of the injection molding machine,this paper studied injection molding system of closed-loop control system controlled by a servo proportional valve,established the nonlinear model considering the valve flow-pressure nonlinear,injection cylinder volume changing and the polymer melting flow characteristics,provided fuzzy PID control method fitting the system.With the Matlab/Simulink platform,established a simulate model.The result proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the closed-loop control system and control method,compared to the conventional PID control,this control strategy significantly reduced the static error of the system,greatly improved the tracking results of the injection speed,and effectively helped to improve products' repeat precision.

This software package has been successfully applied on the vinyl chloride rectifying equipment in Qindao Chemical Factory. China. Abstract:To face the increasingly serious energy crisis, how to develop high-precision products with better energy-saving characteristics by injection molding machines is one of the main research directions in the industry of plastic molding. This paper presents a new energy-saving design of servo injection molding system with servo motor-driving fixed pump and servo solenoid valve. Such a structure can guarantee the manufacturing precision and lower the cost. In the study, a Fuzzy-PID controller for the packing pressure in the injection process was designed based on the mathematical model which was established and revised according to the new system. Additionally, numerical examples are presented by Matlab. Results showed that the new Fuzzy-PID controller is able to reduce the error of packing pressure tracking effectively. Furthermore, the new designed system is good-robust and more stable than the traditional PID controller.

Abstract:The framework design and implementatiog of the computer integrated control system for Spheripol propylene reactor.Based on principal component analysis(PCA) and artificial neural network,the online softsensors of key parameters of the process equipment were presented.The process monitoring and fault detection were investigated by using kernel density estimator(KDE) in multivariate statistical process monitoring(MSPM).According to the dynamic process model and nonlinear optimization theory,the optimal grade transition strategy in continuous polymerization process solved by iterative dynamic programming algorithm was proposed.The total system framework and software structure of the computer control system were designed with full consideration of extension of the developed system.The implementation of real-time database,user interface and data interchange with distributed control system(DCS) were also discussed.

Abstract:According to the poor packing pressure control accuracy of the traditional injection molding machines,this paper presents a new injection system using servo motor-driving fixed pump which can provide different speed with the given injection process.The mathematical models were established based on non-Newtonian fluid dynamics for the hydraulic system and the viscous force of melted plastic between the barrel and screw.Based on the theoretical analysis,a new fuzzy self-tuning(FST) method was proposed which combined the advantages of both the fuzzy control and the self-tuning control.The experimental data with packing pressure control showed that compared with the traditional PID algorithm,the FST algorithm has better performance with slighter overshooting,quicker response,shorter transient time and better control accuracy.

Abstract:Aiming at the color yellow, darker or burnt problems generated in tea carding, by the analysis of tea carding technology, tempera-ture control, fuzzy algorithm and fuzzy-PID control technology, fuzzy algorithm and fuzzy-PID control technology was applied in tea carding machine control system. A design of tea carding machine double fuzzy control system based on fuzzy algorithm, fuzzy-PID control technology, and STM32 ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller was presented. Simulations about traditional PID control system and double fuzzy control system were made in Matlab, and also the experiments about the both systems on 6CLZ-60 tea carding machine were done. The results indicate that the parameters which output by this control system are ideal of tea carding, the temperature departure is less then 1 ℃. The double fuzzy control system for tea carding machine can reduce the human factors in the process of tea-making, improve the quality or tea carding and the intelligent level of the machine for tea-making.

Abstract:In order to print characters on hot bloom automatically,an automatic control system based on PLC S7-300 and smart positioning controller SPC200 was designed.Through digital I/O,PLC sent directions to SPC200,and the sprayer laterally moved to designated position by the intelligent cylinder.Then multilevel cylinder pushed the sprayer ahead in lengthwise direction,which was adjusted by electromagnetic valves.At last stroke electromagnetic valves were open or closed on appointed character.The application results show that this control system is featured by its cost effective,ease of operation,low inaccurate rate and printing fast.

Abstract:Automatic Control system has been widely used in the field of modern chemical production industry,which not only enhances the automatic level of production device but also elevates products' quality and output.A method combining manufacture process monitoring system and PLC is presented,through which automatic control system of a set of device for latex polymerization is developed and automatic control and monitoring function of the whole manufacture process are realized.For the key factor influencing quality best-polymerization temperature,cascade with stroke-dividing control algorithm is applied.Through long-term practical running,control effect reaches the expectation,which demonstrates the feasibility of this control system.

Abstract:Control system of the Plastic injection molding machine formed by electric relays and switching valves has many shortcomings, such as complexity wiring, low control accuracy, inconvenience maintenance and lack of flexibility, using the simulation assessment of the actual application method, this paper designs the injection molding machine control systems based on PLC controller, the new control system is composed by PLC, inverter, sensors and other components, with the help of PID control, which according to the given screw barrel temperature deviation value and measured value, automatically adjust and stabilize of the entire control system. Simulation experimental results show this new control system can achieve better performance is effective, which will decrease energy consumption of the stabilization system; the research achievements have certain theoretical and practical value to the design of injection molding machine control system.

Abstract:A multi-layer injection molding machine control system is proposed in this paper. The first layer, an advanced process parameter control layer, provides accurate and robust control of key process variables. The second layer consists of two modules, a profile setting layer determining the shapes of set-point profiles for the key process variables, to achieve an evenly distributed part quality along the flow directions; and a process fault detection and diagnoses system monitoring the operation of injection molding process. The third layer, a quality control layer, consists of a quantitative quality prediction model and a quality controller. This final layer provides a mechanism for closed-loop control of certain part quality. The related work that has been conducted on these three layers is discussed extensively in this paper, and the future work is introduced as well.

Abstract:The manual style had a very negative impact on the plasticization apparatus and precision of injection,so this paper aimed to propose an intelligent automatic purging system and control method for all-electric injection molding machine in order to protect the key plasticization component-screw,which was assembled in the barrel of injection molding machine.The structure,operating principle and program diagram about this control system were introduced.The determinant conditions of entering the automatic purging process were established.Using the determinant conditions,the system can determine intelligently whether the barrel of injection molding machine was needed to be purged or not.A process parameters database of automatic purging was established according to the type of plastic material.The control system was constructed in Linux operating system and Huazhong CNC system platform HNC-8.In each experiment,the PP material of weight of 150 g totally was used to test.The result showed that the automatic purging efficiency was more than the manual′s by 33.7%,and the weight percent of purged remnant material by automatic purging was less than the manual′s by 1.84%.Therefore,the efficiency of the designed automatic purge system was superior to the manual.The proposed method can assure the screw′s injection precision and performance of the machine,and finally improve the molded part quality and precision.

Abstract:An intelligent system combining a simplified simulation model and fuzzy inference has been developed for determining the process parameters of injection molding. First, preliminary optimization based on a simplified simulation model was employed for the initial setting. Then, a fuzzy inference model based on expert knowledge was used for correcting defects. By communicating with the machine controller, the intelligent system was integrated with the injection molding machine to optimize process parameters real time. An experimental study was carried out for verification.
