Analysis on Property Rights System Reform Models of Township Enterprises in South Jiangsu

Abstract:Township collective enterprises are gradually falling behind in the competition of market economy because of their defects in property rights system, such as the unclearness of property rights, lower marketing degree of resource distribution and ultra-economic factors in their operation, etc. Facing the problem of economic benefit declining, many township collective enterprises in South Jiangsu, which are involved in a transformation, choose the method of auctioning the ownership to private owners to build the enterprises based on company system and with clear private property rights. The newly adopted ownership structure, in which the managers hold a big proportion of shares, has greatly improved the economic performance of these companies. Through theoretical analysis on the property rights system reform of the township enterprises in South Jiangsu, we find that the enterprise system, which is in the interest of the subject, has clear property right, and combines the ownership and management in a certain extent, is the evitable trend for the development of our country's township enterprises.
