Abstract:As the cancer stem cell hypothesis rises in recent years,there are increasing data to indicate that retinoblastoma cancer stem cell is likely to be responsible for carcinogenesis,relapse,metastasis and drug resistance of retinoblastoma.Research advances of isolation,identification and biological characteristics of retinoblastoma cancer stem cell may provide a novel tool to reduce the recurrence and metastasis of retinoblastoma and to improve the effects of current chemotherapy.
