Abstract:It is not too convenient to upgrade the client for software of C/S model. For solving this problem, it had given out software of upgrading client of automatically from designing to realizing and you can upgrade a part of what you want of the software. This system is developed and finished under the environment of C++ Builder6.0. Make use of FTP protocol to realize the transmission of files, the transmission of the news is realized by packages of NMMsg and NMMSGServ, etc. Ini file is utilized to store the disposition information of files. Using this system the problem of upgrading the client of C/S software conveniently is solved. As a tool, this software is very practical.

Abstract:This information intercourse system (IICS) is designed for the news intercourse among TV stations and modernization of network and information management in the TV station. Firewall and double-server structure are used in hardware; in software, tech- nologies such as WEB, MIS and database synchronization are adopted. The whole system is completed with the help of the guideline of software engineering. A design for the system is introduced in detail, stating some key technologies using in system realization, and also having a study on some main problems in system realization.

Abstract:This paper puts forward a model of Extended Client/Server (XCS) system, which is based on traditional Client/Server Architecture and borrows such merits from Browser/Server system as integrated code maintenance at Server-end and installation-free at Browser-end, etc. In an XCS system, Client is dynamically configured and automatically updated, and Server is able to commit self-health-checks and upgrade without shutting service down. XCS system is designed for secure application for authorized users, considering security extensions, and able to be extended to distributed application system.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the software architecture of existing GIS applications in industry,a compound architecture pattern which integrates Client/Server architecture and Browser/Server architecture is proposed so as to better meet the requirement for geospatial information sharing and make better use of geospatial resources.The compound architecture is then used to remake the system which has been used in the Land and Resources industry,called Urban Cadastral Information System,by dividing the original single-architected system into several subsystems with the GIS functionality provided by the same GIS Server.The prototype system runs well and the expected goals are achieved,which to some extent solves the problem that once the single-architected system ran into,meets the demands for sharing the geospatial information and provides new thoughts for the GIS-related applications in other industries.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the key issues that affect dynamic updating,a component-based dynamic updating mechanism which obtained a safe updating point by interposing interceptor dynamically was presented,and the hot-swapping of dynamic components was achieved.The main procedure included interposing interceptor,blocking invocation,transferring state and redirecting requests.This design makes the application has better feasibility,expansibility and operation performance.

Abstract:The system employs feature as its collaborative design element and uses XML for defining feature operations and communication protocol among the server and clients. To reduce network load and increase response ability of the system, feature information is updated incrementally between the server and client. As it is based on Web Service, the system can support collaborative design when working on heterogeneous platforms. The framework and communication protocol are discussed. A prototype system is built and tested. Experiments show that the system can effectively support collaborative design under distributed environment.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a hierarchy model for dynamic updating of distributed components based on message-passing communication mechanism. In this model, multi-components' updating is divided into two level: multi-components' sequential updating from lower to higher level between groups; multi-components' sequential updating from lower to higher in a group. Our model may preserve system state's consistency through coordinating multi-components' updatable-state's arriving and may update multi-components concurrently in different nodes to make updating effective. Accordingly, we propose a prototype framework of a component server supporting this model.

Abstract:Dynamic software updating (DSU) enables a program to be patched on the fly without being shutdown. This paper addresses the practicality problem of the recent research on DSU systems, and presents Replus, a new DSU system that balances practicality and functionality. Replus aims to retain backward binary compatibility and support multi-threaded programs. In addition, it does not require customers to have developer-level software knowledge. More importantly, without specific compiler support, Replus can patch programs that are difficult to be updated at runtime, as well as programs that may incur an indefinite delay in DSU. The key technique of our solution is to update the stack elements for the patched program using two new mechanisms: Immediate Stack Updating, which immediately updates the stack of a thread, and timely stack updating, which only updates the stack frames of the necessary functions without affecting others. Replus also develops an Instruction Level Updating mechanism, which is more efficient for certain security patches. We used popular server applications as test suites to evaluate the effectiveness of Replus. The experimental results demonstrated that Replus can successfully update all the test suites with negligible impact on application performance.

Abstract:We present a design and implementation of an instant user-interactive question answering system using the Client/Server(C/S) architecture.In our system,all the questions are asked and answered manually by human users,who actually form an efficient collaborative network.A user modeling method is used to evaluate the interests,authorities,and capacities in each area for each user so that we can recommend a given question to suitable users to answer.In order to obtain timely answers to most questions,a load balancing technique is used to balance the work of each user and ensure the important/urgent questions to be recommended and therefore answered earlier.Experiments show the proposed mechanism's accuracy in question recommendation.

Abstract:The concept of as a is applied to traditional AutoCAD software to build a web AutoCAD system,which is based on the web service technology.The system structure and implementation technique is also discussed.This system combines and transfers AutoCADs’ function and application interface into a form of web service,so as to the remote users could utilize the function of AutoCAD software without a AutoCAD on their local computer but only relying on an internet browser.Experiments show that the system has a short latency and high efficiency.
