Abstract:Javelin throwing is a kind of event that has a completely different personality and philosophy from the heave thrower, with almost unrestricted approach run. Approach speed and timing transition of body segment play an important role to performance. Through approach, for the elite world javelin throwers, the speed that the body and javelin obtain is 7-8 m/s before exerting finally. Through exerting, the speed of weight of the body is lowered to less than 3 m/s, and javelin obtain 21 m/s above speed. Therefore, through exerting oneself finally, the speed of javelin is increased rapidly, left side planting movement enabling momentum transmit and increase javelin speed. Hence, left leg technique play a important role During transition, the planting of the left leg have a key function, through whip technique, the speed of lower big part of the body gradually transmit to upper small arm, via hand, to javelin at last. This study investigated left leg contribution to javelin throwing during the last thrust phase. Eight female javelin throwers were taped during selective competition of X III Asian games in 1998. The subjects were videotaped at 50 frames per second. By analyzing left leg technique, the consciousness of left side supporting and stretching should increased, more and more coaches and athletes will pay more attention to stretching phase of left side supporting technique. The posture of the left foot falling to the ground has influence on left leg supporting technique to certain degree. Home outstanding women javelin throwers should make a little enlargement inside of angle that button up at left foot planting. Home outstanding women javelin throwers have a big buffer degree, hence make the left shoulder, left hip supported not enough. They should enhance the cowgirl muscle the cluster carrying the constringency of left shoulder crest of left shoulder; they should enhance the cowgirl muscle anti-carrying contracting training.

Abstract:By researching the condition of specific technology and strength training of javelin throw, this paper draws the conclusions that the final release is the focus on combination of technical training and strength training and the same as base strength which is a stabilizing effect on the javelin and the coordinating role of the explosive force. The combination of specific technology and strength training is not enough and many training methods are too old and monotonous.

Abstract:By analyzing the features of the muscle force and the specific technical requirements of special strength training in javelin throw,this paper drew conclusions that it should highlight the initiatory function of the hip muscle and an the active pawing motion of the right leg and enhance the continuity of the start in Final Push technique and strength effect in specific strength training;the muscle's pre-stretch and relatively slowing development effort of arm with javelin can ensure the final order,the level and pace;special technique and special strength training need to be closely integrated and the appropriate load should be determined by the purpose of training.

Abstract:The authors studied and compared the indexes of the last exertion skills of the elite discus throwers both in China and abroad. They found that the key reason why the Chinese throwers were poorer in their performances was that they were slower in throwing. The main factor influencing the speed of throwing was the revolving techniques. The four sections of the revolving techniques were independent from each other and incoherent,which led to the slow revolving. Moreover,the Chinese throwers were less capable of commanding the reasonable angle of attacking and throwing.

Abstract:Through literature data, investigation, mathematical statistics, a study was made on the body quality, special field skill and sports performance of 17 outstanding men's discus athletes in our country.The main result and conclusion seem to be: 1.a regression equation for body quality, special field skill and discus performance is: discus performance =30.297-0.101*snatch+2.125*standing triple jump+0.423*standing discus throw. 2. The extent of influence of body quality, special field skill over discus sports performance is as follows: special field skill (56.7%), velocity force(40.1%), maximum force(3.1%). 3. A quantitative analysis of body quality and special field skill shows that a close relationship exists between the body... explosive force and special field skill of the athletes, which conforms with the experts' qualitative analysis result. 4. The weakness of our a thletes' special field skill is the main factor affecting the improvement of men's discus performance. The in trinsic cause for this problem, apart from the technical skill of some special field, is mainly reflected in the lower level of athletes' explosive force.

Abstract:The paper do some research on the sport quality which affect the advanced woman discus thrower with the methods : documentation ,questionnaire investigation, mathematical statistics. The result show that : (1) Specific throwing speed makes the biggest influence to the player's achievements ,the ratio can reach 56.58%. (2) The most important element that affects the specific throwing speed is the lower limbs explosive force , then the body force and last lower limbs maximum force.(3) The lower limbs explosive force has the highest positive contact to the specific throwing speed.The body force has a medium positive contact to the specific throwing speed.The lower limbs have a medium negative contact to the specific throwing speed.

Abstract:Background: Performance in javelin throwing is dependent on the release speed and therefore the energy transferred to the javelin. Little is known about the flow of mechanical energy in javelin throwing and whether there is a connection to joint loading and throwing performance. The purpose of the study was therefore to investigate (1) the energy flow within the kinetic chain of the throwing arm, (2) how it is related to performance and joint loads and (3) how joint forces and torques are used to transfer, generate and absorb mechanical energy. Methods: The kinematics of 10 experienced javelin throwers were recorded using a 12-camera infrared system. 16 markers were placed on the athlete's body, five on the javelin to track the movement of each segment. A segmental power analysis was carried out to calculate energy flow between upper body, upper arm, forearm and hand. Stepwise regression analysis was used to calculate the variable that best predicts release speed and joint loads. Results: The results indicate that the higher the peak rate of energy transfer from the thorax to the humerus, the higher the release speed and the joint loads. While there were no differences between the peak rate of energy transfer in the different joints, the energy transferred differed depending on whether joint forces or torques were used. It can be further shown that higher joint torques and thus higher rotational kinetics at the shoulder are linked to higher release speeds. Thus, the movements of the upper body can be of great influence on the result in javelin throwing. Furthermore, the data show that athletes who are able to transfer more energy through the shoulder, rather than generate it, experience a smaller joint loading. An effective technique for improved energy transfer can thus help perform at the same level while lowering joint stress or have higher performance at the same joint loading.

Abstract:Chinese female javelin throwers have achieved great results both in Inchon Asia Games and Beijing World Championships,Zhang Li winning the gold medal in Asia Games,and Lv Huihui winning the silver medal in World Championships.Foreign javelin coaches’training theory and un-derstanding on technique had a deep influence on Chinese athletes.By using literature review,trac-ing method,interview and video-tapes,this paper made a comparison on the technique character-istics of domestic and international elite female javelin throwers.The results show that there is still a gap in release parameters between domestic athletes and international elite athletes.The release ve-locity is a decisive element to distance rather than the only parameter;Chinese athletes’release ve-locity is slow.Release angle tends to be larger,angle of trunk and impulse step are small while the delivery step is too long.In view of the above,we need to have a deep understanding on foreign coa-ches’technique and training theory,and this paper mainly introduce the four aspects:rotational throwing,shoulder joint strength training,force sequence and training characteristics.

Abstract:Long jump is a sport of strong explosive force that requires athletes to release as much energy as possible the moment he jumps.Hence,the training of strength is of vital significance to long jumpers.In reality, there often occurs such a situation:the strength level of long jumpers has increased a lot,but the result of long jump did not increase.The attribution cause is mostly that athletes’strength training is not carried out according to the force requirement of long jump,so the trained force did not have effective exertion in the process of jumping.Therefore,long jumpers’strength training should combine the characteristics of long jump;refer to the physiological mechanism of strength training and rely on scientific means and methods to achieve desired target. The paper conducts theoretical study on the special training of Chinese long jumpers and puts forward some training methods and ways.

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of sequences of the trunk and arm angular motions on the performance of javelin throwing. In this study, 32 male and 30 female elite javelin throwers participated and were separated into a short official distance group or a long official distance group in each gender. Three-dimensional coordinates of 21 body landmarks and 3 marks on the javelin in the best trial were collected for each subject. Joint center linear velocities and selected trunk and arm segment and joint angles and angular velocities were calculated. The times of the initiations of the selected segment and joint angular motions and maximum angular velocities were determined. The sequences of the initiations of the selected segment and joint angular motions and maximum angular velocities were compared between short and long official distance groups and between genders. The results demonstrated that short and long official distance groups employed similar sequences of the trunk and arm motions. Male and female javelin throwers employed different sequences of the trunk and arm motions. The sequences of the trunk and arm motions were different from those of the maximal joint center linear velocities.

Abstract:ABSTRACT Introduction Recent research on core strength training of young athletes is vague and inconclusive. The lack of complete understanding about the relevance of core training programs still keeps some coaches wary in their training practice. Objective Explore the impact of core strength training on young athletes’ physical fitness and sports ability. Methods Young athletes on the javelin throwing team underwent a bi-weekly core strengthening protocol for 16 weeks. Biomechanical changes were acquired by biomechanical kinematic analysis, and index data were worked out statistically. Results Core strength training developed the latissimus dorsi, external oblique muscles, erector spine, and hip extensor muscles of athletes and improved stability in spine motion (P<0.05). Conclusion Core strength training significantly affects developing specific skills in darts-throwing athletes. The training has been shown to increase athletes’ interest in the sport.
