Abstract:Water quality evaluation is very important for the design and operation of water treatment and the security of water supply. As the urbanization and population increasing, three types of surface water are simultaneously applied for drinking water sources in Huzhou. Based on the continuous monitoring and data analysis from 2011 to 2015, water quality evaluation was carried out by nine water quality indexes, in order to investigate the pollution characteristics and temporal variation trends of drinking water sources. The results showed that these three types of surface water generally conformed to the water quality standards of drinking water sources, and the water quality decreased in order of reservoir, lake and river. The water quality of reservoir was good and stable, while the main problem of Tai Lake was the exceeding standards of total nitrogen and total phosphorus which might lead to the algae growth. In the rivers, the indexes exceeding the national standards were total nitrogen, iron and manganese, and water quality indexes including chemical oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen exhibited seasonal variation. More attention should be paid to water eutrophication and seasonal accidental risk in Huzhou.

Abstract:Water contamination events of urban water supply often show the characteristics of abruptness and variety, and the on-line water quality monitoring parameters usually are difficult to cover various contaminant parameters. With the help with routine detection and on-line water quality monitoring, it is possible to detect and judge whether a water quality event has happened or not and to identify its type indirectly, and obtain the relevant information of qualitative and quantitative analysis. These will be significant to the decision making by the concerning sectors and units. Taking the events of ammonium iron sulfate in the distribution system for example, the relationship of water between contamination concentration and conventional water quality monitoring parameters is investigated, and the quantitative method based on D-S evidence theory is given.

Abstract:Huangpu River water resources protection area is an emphasis of Shanghai environmental procection,the water in this area provides drinking water for Shanghai people.In order to analyze the typical water quality indicators and the water quality develop trends,the factor analysis method is used in this paper to analyze the ordinary monitoring sections set in Huangpu River water protection area from 2000 to 2004.This method the typical water quality indicator in Huangpu River upper region.Further,integration evaluation methods like power index,weighted average and vector normare adopted to evaluate the water quality on each monitoring section to get the pollution spatial distribution characteristics.

Abstract:Beginning with the routine monitoring data from the national surface water monitoring spot of Taihu Lake basin,evaluating the water quality of monitoring sections with some common methods,making comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of these methods.The result shows that: ① single-factor index method is very conservative;② Nemero index method uses"1"as the cut-off point of cleanliness and pollution,which is a little small;③ the determination of water quality index weight coefficient of gray correlation analysis method is more reasonable than fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and the result is more close to the result of comprehensive water quality index.④ the result of comprehensive water quality identification index method has the highest degree of coincidence with the results of others,and the results of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,gray correlation analysis method and BP-ANN approximate to the result of comprehensive water quality identification index method.Based on the single-factor index method,comprehensive water quality index method considers the adverse effects of stink to the water quality,which also has reasonable indexes and is easy to put into practice.

Abstract:The principle of a fuzzy evaluation method is introduced in detail,and the evaluation for the water quality by using the fuzzy method is prepared with that by using a single-factor method.The result shows that the fuzzy method can make a more scientific determination in the evaluation of the water quality because this evaluation could determine the water quality classification according to the fuzzy set theory and method,and take full accounts of the impact of multiple pollution factors.

Abstract:Through the investigation of water pollution of 12 sample sections in Huiyin city,6 water quality indicators are chosen,such as CODMn、NO3-N,NH+4-N,Cr6+,SS,and pH,to evaluate the surface water quality by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The result shows that the water quality of Huayin city is V,heavyly polluted.The reault can be used as the basis for water quality control,as well as for sewage disposal.

Abstract:Comprehensive index method,fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and grey relational analysis are introduced in this paper to evaluate water quality of 16 monitoring sites for Sand Lake in 2009,the results of different methods are compared and analyzed,the objective conclusions are reached after a comprehensive consideration.Finally,the advantages and disadvantages are proposed,the conclusion is that the combination of these different methods can truthfully reflect water quality assessment.

Abstract:Water quality appraisal is the basic work of water environment management.Only reasonable water quality method is utilized can the river water quality situation be clearly described and the water environment management and decision-making requirement be satisfied.In this paper,single-factor index method,composite index evaluation method and fuzzy synthetic evaluation method are used to evaluate the water quality of Caoqiao River in recent years.The evaluation result is analyzed and compared which shows the water quality of Caoqiao River.The result shows that adopting fuzzy synthetic evaluation method can reflect Caoqiao River water quality correctly and comprehensively.

Abstract:The serious waste and less utilization of water resource, the problem of low utilization rate in our country is always the bottleneck in the development of society in twenty first Century. Rational water resources quality evaluation, the water quality classification, selection of reasonable, accurate method of determining the groundwater quality is precondition of improving water resources utilization. To make an accurate assessment of groundwater quality, the choice of evaluation methods is critical. Selecting total hardness, chloride, sulfate, nitrate, iron, potassium permanganate index six important evaluation factors, using the comprehensive evaluation method and fuzzy mathematics method evaluates water quality status of representative four wells in certain region respectively. The results show that: two kinds of methods can meet the precision requirement, comprehensive evaluation method boundary is very strict, not considering each sample ions composition, extremal function too obvious. But the method of fuzzy mathematics comprehensive considering wells' each ion composition, eliminating extreme qualitative effect, the evaluation results is more objective. From human health perspective, the single index exceed the standard is not conducive to health, drinking water quality evaluation must consider the extreme value problem.

Abstract:This paper introduces the applications of Fuzzy Mathematics and Set Pair Analysis Method in water quality evaluation.According to the data observed of the JingHang Canal in 1995 to 2001,the advantages and weakness of two methods are compared,and the conclusions are the same for the two different methods on the whole.The results show that the quality of the JingHang Canal has a good trend and Fuzzy Mathematics method is sensitive to excrescent index.To insure the result is objective and accurate,different method should be applied in water quality evaluation.

Abstract:For natural water, method of water quality evaluation based on improved fuzzy matter-element evaluation method is presented. Two important parts are improved, the weights determining and fuzzy membership functions. The coefficient of variation of each indicator is used to determine the weight instead of traditional calculating superscales method. On the other hand, fuzzy matter-elements are constructed, and normal membership degrees are used instead of traditional trapezoidal ones. The composite fuzzy matter-elements with associated coefficient are constructed through associated transformation. The levels of natural water quality are determined according to the principle of maximum correlation. The improved fuzzy matter-element evaluation method is applied to evaluate water quality of the Luokou mainstream estuary at the first ten weeks in 2011 with the coefficient of variation method determining the weights. Water quality of Luokou mainstream estuary is dropping from level I to level II. The results of the improved evaluation method are basically the same as the official water quality. The variation coefficient method can reduce the workload, and overcome the adverse effects from abnormal values, compared with the traditional calculating superscales method. The results of improved fuzzy matter-element evaluation method are more credible than the ones of the traditional evaluation method. The improved evaluation method can use information of monitoring data more scientifically and comprehensively, and broaden a new evaluation method for water quality assessment.

Abstract:Aquaculture Water Quality Evaluation is a comprehensive multiple objective evaluation in terms of aquaculture water quality,which is the important part for aquaculture water quality management.In order to analyze the evaluation method of aquaculture water quality,the paper used expert's questionnaire,Delphi and fuzzy mathematics,establishing water quality evaluation index and criteria.Aquaculture water quality evaluation fuzzy synthetically evaluation model is put forward too,which makes the results more objective and more reasonable from vast experimental result.

Abstract:Based on representative samples,a comparative study was carried out for seven typical comprehensive water quality assessment methods including single factor assessment method,pollution index method,fuzzy method,grey system method,analytic hierarchy process method,artificial neural network method,water quality identification index method.The study conclusions are:(1) The single factor assessment method selects the worst water quality class of water quality indices to be the comprehensive water quality class,and gives a over-emphasizing result.(2) The pollution index method can qualitatively judge whether the comprehensive water quality meets the specified water function objective,but it can't judge comprehensive water quality class.(3) The other five methods including fuzzy method,grey system method,analytic hierarchy process method,artificial neural network method and water quality identification index method present the nearly identical comprehensive water quality assessment results for the samples of comprehensive water quality class Ⅰ~Ⅴ,which prove the rationality of five methods for comprehensive water quality classⅠ~Ⅴ.(4) For the comprehensive water quality of inferior class Ⅴ,the fuzzy method,grey system method,analytic hierarchy process method,artificial neural network method underestimate the comprehensive water quality,by comparison,the water quality identification index method can give a scientific conclusion due to the consecutive depiction of water quality inferior class Ⅴ.Further,a qualitative and quantitative assessment of class Ⅰ~Ⅴ,inferior class Ⅴ while no blackness and stink,inferior class Ⅴ while blackness and stink,is scientifically and completely achieved based on water quality identification index method.

Abstract:Coal mining affects around environment to varying degree,. especially water resource more and more serious. Water environment of the mining district is influenced by many factors and recent study on the waste water source and the influence is still not profound enough. At the same time water quality evaluation has more qualitative analysis, less quantitative calculation and the mathematical model is not accurate enough, so it is difficult to find the objective conclusion. Based on the technological condition of the coal mining and the water environment characteristics of the mining district, fuzzy synthesis evaluation is used as the evaluation model. On the principle of independence, easily obtained, comparability, pertinence and so on, five indexes, mine water, coal-cleaning waste water, sanitary waste water and coal gangue leached water and others, are selected as the water quality evaluation index sunset, to form the water quality evaluation index system on above factors. The evaluation degree of every factors is defined using fuzzy synthesis evaluation method, which is used to put forward the focus prevention method to protect the water environment and guard the water quality.

Abstract:Aiming at the characteristics of water resources project,the five characteristics and concepts of the quality of the design of the water resources and hydropower project,i.e.safety,functionality,economy,reliability and timeliness are initially and synoptically proposed for the quality evaluation of the preliminary design of water resources and hydropower project on the basis of the" Guide on Engineering Design Document Quality Characteristics and Quality Evaluation"published by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development,PRC.In accordance with the evaluation methods and evaluation indexes for the quality of the preliminary design of water resources and hydropower project given herein,the common problems existing in the quality evaluation of the preliminary design are preliminarily analyzed and summarized by determining the weight of the professions listed in the relevant quantitative evaluation method with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP).The study result can provide reference for the evaluation of the design of water resources and hydropower project concerned.

Abstract:Sediment quality in waters not only affect the benthic organism, but also has close relation with the water quality due to the frequent pollutant interchanges between the sediment and overlaying water. The polluted sediment often becomes the potential source to pollute waters. So it is very important to evaluate the sediment quality for the water environmental protection. Moreover, using the sediment samples to evaluate the water quality is much better than using the water samples. In this paper, the authors introduce the evaluation methods in common use for sediment quality and list several kinds of representative sediment quality standards. By comparison, the NOAA or FDEP sediment quality standards are recommended for evaluating the sediment quality in waters.
