Abstract:This paper introduces the structural features,applications,complexation properties of macrocyclic polyamines and their derivatives,as well as new developments on ion recognition and molecular recognition.Synthesis,coordination compound formation,molecular/icon recognition,catalysis,selective complexation,and recent applications of various types of macrocyclic polyamine derivatives are reviewed mainly.Future applications are prospected with the expectation of more significant developments in the fields of medicine,life science,material science,environment science and energy science etc.
