Abstract:SPA-1 is a small GTPase-activating protein,mainly studied in cells and tumors at present.In cells,SPA-1 participates in the regulation of cell functions through interacting with different molecules or proteins,promoting Rap1 GTPase activity;SPA-1 also plays an important role in tumor and leukemia.It is involved in breast cancer as documented by extensive clinical studies,as well as leukemia in animal experiments.Mice that are SPA-1deficient develop autoimmune diseases.However,the specific role of SPA-1 in the mechanism of these diseases is still under further exploration.
