Abstract:Efficient resource search method has significant impact on the scalability and availability of P2P network. Generally there are two search methods, pure Peer-to-Peer method and central index method. Recently, some search methods with super-peer concept are appearing, which are the compromise of those two methods and have favorable scalability and avafiability. In this paper, we compare the advantage and deficiency of these three kinds of search methods, and based on JXTA platform design the super-peer search method.

Abstract:In this paper we propose a trusted resource discovery and automatic invocation P2P framework. It provides a series of amazing features to overcome the drawbacks of existing P2P frameworks, such as totally decentralized structured and semantic searchable topology based on dual level DHT network hierarchy, distributed metadata storage, unified resource abstraction and trusted recommendation system based on statistic model of reputation. The ResourceDog framework provides a mechanism to discovery resources by tags, prepare runtime environment for resources automatically, gather and model out rank of rating for resources. The results demonstrate that the ResourceDog framework provides convenient, powerful and trusted resources for general users in P2P environment.

Abstract:Presently,the method of server-customer extensively applied in streaming service cannot meet the increasing demand of application of multi media and the implementation of some existent technology needs big adjustment of cadre of network.The spreading way of P2P offers a better solution to achieve mass multicast in network.It introduces arithmetic of adding and quitting,which reduce the infection of single node for the whole network.Meanwhile,to address the problem of interval in some P2P transfers system,it uses the method of core shift,changing the topology structure of dispensing tree of media dynamically,trying its best to reduce the distance between node and core in network,controlling the average interval and keeping the media broadcasting online steadily and continuously.

Abstract:With the rapid development of the network technologies, software development is becoming more and more complicated. Traditional software engineering management methods based on Client/Server structure have not been very competent for large-scale software development. This paper proposes a software engineering management method based on P2P structure. By exploring the characteristics of P2P, our system takes “Peer Group” as the unit to build up services including source code management, task assignment and software visualization. Our framework overcomes the server's “bottleneck” existed in the C/S structure. Although it still has a server in the network, the server only provides indexing function and does not store the document. In this way, the loads of the server are transferred to the network boundary. Our method takes full advantages of computation resources, and can increase the system's performance. We will also show in the paper the performance increases by our method in software development for practical applications.

Abstract:With the rapid development of P2P network technology, the share of P2P Internet traffic is growing among the total internet traffic. Because of the complex structure of P2P network and its protocals is flexible, most of the traditional P2P simulations simulate P2P protocols. This paper presents a distributed P2P users' action simulation system which is able to flexibly configure the content and P2P users' action sequence. Meantime, the system can simulate the execution progress of the action sequence of the P2P network for multiple users with generated data traffic containing specific content. At the same time, the system also provides rich users' action sequence templates, and records the execution progress and corresponding results. Experiments show that the system can simulate real users' action P2P sequence through simple and flexible configuration.

Abstract:The dynamic change of network resource makes the conventional search technology's ability not equal to its ambition. JXTASearch is about peer-to-peer search technology based on JXTA platform, it can know the change of the resource in time and go to the resource quickly.We analyzed the principle of JXTASearch in detail, respectively described its search processes based on JXTA platform and based on Web service, concluded the advantage of JXTASearch, explained the realization of searching based on JXTA platform and based on Web service in this paper. At last , brought forward the direction which JXTASearch has to be perfect.

Abstract:How much service performance of searching and transmitting Is provided by P2P network for a concrete resource? How much success ratio and recall ratio of resource's searching of existing P2P network is? Rare research is deepened about those questions. This paper, for unstructured P2P network, construct P2P network queuing model, provide calculating method of service performance of concrete resource, analyze success ratio and recall ratio of resource's searching, by experiment simulation, discuss the influence of resource's popularity, Peer's quantity, initial number of objected resource, Peer's average degree and TTL value of protocol to the searching result of concrete resource. We conclude, during the resource searching process, the number of searching result linearly increases with initial number of objected resource, and exponentially increases with Peer's average degree and TTL value, but decreases nonlinearly with Peer's quantity.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the condition of distributed computing at present firstly. On this foundation, according to the analysis of particular case of distributed computing network, we implement a distributed network environment of P2P whose bottom layer frame is based on JXTA. It improves issuing method of message based on pipeline decomposition mechanism of task based on usage ratio of processor and distributed mechanism of object based on serialization. We build an improved distributed computing network platform on the platform of Linux and Windows and simulate a distributed computing environment. The simulated experiment proves the feasibility and the validity of the distributed network computing platform that is constructed in this paper

Abstract:A P2P-SIP architecture relying on open-source SIP stacks and JXTA platform is proposed, where the centralized SIP registration and location are implemented via P2P publishing and service location, respectively. Abstract:Analysis on issues of current geographic information system in multi-server cooperation,spatial data sharing and mutual operation,then introduced node scheduling and routing query technology based on peer to peer network,through the establishment and release of web services,using multi-source data unified access strategy,realized mobile terminal management,session management,spatial data management and other functions,then grouped and classified nodes according to the quality of service,which plays advantage in P2P spatial data management and query efficiency.Experiment shows that the use of P2P technology can improve the efficiency of mobile terminal access to the multi-sources database which is in large-scale mass terrain data update process.

Abstract:With the development of networking technologies and the advent of the peer-to-peer computing paradigm, distributed file-sharing systems like Gnutella are becoming prevalent over time. JXTA, an interoperable and platform independent peer-to-peer computing infrastructure, has been adopted in an increasing number of network applications providing file-sharing and cooperative service. In this paper we propose the metadata search layer which serves as an enhancement to the CMS (Content Manager Service), a JXTA-based file-sharing service. Through the metadata search layer, more precise search of resources could be conducted as opposed to the inflexible keyword-based search mechanism employed in most of current file-sharing applications in use. A compact general-purpose query language is proposed to facilitate the use of standard metadata schema and bridge the gap between users and metadata descriptions of resources. We exemplify the advantage of the metadata-based search mechanism over the traditional keyword search with a proof-of-concept application.

Abstract:Distributed search and routing algorithms based on the DHT (distributed hash table) protocol have attracted considerable attention in structured P2P (peer-to-peer) research as a result of favorable properties such as distribution, self-organization, and high scalability. Compared with a traditional C/S (client/server) network, the probability of peers initiating malicious behavior increases dramatically because of their self-governing and dynamic characteristics, which also make it harder to satisfy the peers’ security required by DHT. In this paper, we propose a new secure DHT protocol based on a multidimensional mapping mechanism. This mechanism maps peers to a multidimensional space by dividing the identifiers into groups. Moreover, a series of secure methods and routing algorithms are provided to achieve secure DHT in smaller spaces. Compared with state-of-the-art approaches, the theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the multidimensional mapping mechanism can effectively improve the average success rate of a resource search by inhibiting malicious behavior.

Abstract:In order to highlight the advantage of P2P and Web services,based on the core protocols of JXTA platform and Web services architecture,the publishing model of Web services in P2P network was established.This model packed the SOAP message of Web services,and implement the request and publish of Web services in P2P network and their collaboration by means of pipes,advertisements and other JXTA protocols.This research achieve the integration of P2P and the Web Services to a certain extent,and publish the Web Services on peers of P2P network via secondary development on JXTA protocol.

Abstract:This paper proposes an efficient algorithm for P2P file sharing systems based on WiMAX mesh mode and Wi-Fi technologies. Wireless networks in our system are hierarchically divided into three layers: Wi-Fi based wireless local area networks under a subscriber station; the mesh network of subscriber stations under a base station; the network of base stations. File lookup procedure may go through three steps: the requesting end host firstly looks up for the requested file within it's neighbor end hosts under the same subscribe station; if fails, then it sends lookup messages to the nearest subscriber stations in the mesh network following to a changed dynamic source routing protocol; if both the steps fail, then the requesting end host searches the requested file through the chord-based base stations' overlay. By statistical analysis and simulations, we prove that our layered P2P file sharing system can reduce the number of lookup messages in physical networks and prevent over expenses of precious bandwidth in wireless metropolitan area networks

Abstract:The data-intensive and computation-intensive characteristics of the geo-processing require scalable, flexible, and distributed geo-computing platforms. We employ P2P and Grid technologies to construct a prototype of P2P-Grid GIS, which can integrate distributed spatial data and computing resources to accomplish complex and large-scale spatial processing tasks. The JXTA is a general P2P toolkit originally used in our system. It has many modules and functionalities unnecessary for the prototype, which prove to decrease the system performance. Therefore, we design our own P2P communication scheme called CoreP2P. In this paper, we firstly give a brief description of the architecture of P2P-Grid GIS. We also identify the group communication requirements in the P2P-Grid GIS, which include spatial data transfer and control message transmission. Then, we discuss the components of CoreP2P and their respective functionalities in detail. Finally, we build the P2P-Grid GIS based on CoreP2P and compare the performance with JXTA-based system.

Abstract:In recent years, Web services and Peer-to-Peer (or simply P2P) appear as two of the hottest research topics in network computing. On the one hand, by adopting a decentralized, network-based style, P2P technologies can make P2P systems enhance overall reliability and fault-tolerance, increase autonomy, and enable ad-hoc communication and collaboration. On the other hand, Web services provides a good approach to integrate various heterogeneous systems and applications into a cooperative environment. This paper presents the techniques of combining Web services and P2P technologies into GIS to construct a new generation of GIS, which is more flexible and cooperative. As a case study, an ongoing project JGWS is introduced which is an experimental GIS Web services platform built on JXTA. This paper also explores the schemes of building GIS Web services in a P2P environment.

Abstract:Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology has been widely applied in Internet application systems, especially in sharing large video files among multiple user communities. Although P2P technology has lots of advantages, it brings troubles to network operation sometimes. P2P applications may consume much network bandwidth. Furthermore, P2P application is always apt to use the network bandwidth as much as possible. Long-time congestion brings the network management great difficulty. On the other hand, lack of proper management of P2P network also causes problems related to copyright, privacy, and security. Due to the reasons mentioned above, both the ISPs and ICPs urgently desire to find an effective way to monitor and manage the P2P network. In this chapter, the authors will discuss the issues of P2P network management. The “Introduction” focuses on the current state of P2P network, describing the problem of lack of management. The next section analyzes the P2P network features in network management. The difference between P2P network and Internet in management will be also discussed. The section “P2P Traffic Identification” is the P2P management technology of traffic identification, based on which many traffic shaping solutions presented in the section, “Traffic Shaping.” The next section introduces another kind of widely used approach - P2P caching. The current ISP and PSP collaboration solutions will be discussed in the section “ISP PSP Collaboration,” including the well-known framework of P4P (Haiyong Xie, 2007), biased neighbor selection of BitTorrent (Ruchir Bindal, 2006), Oracle (V. Aggarwal, 2007), and Ono (David R. Choffnes, 2008). The second to last section presents a proposal named Federation Based Solution to P2P Network Management (Jilong Wang, 2007), including the models of structure, communication, function and system. The final section will be the conclusion.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the design and prototype of a version-enabled peer-to-peer content distribution system based on distributed hash table. The system is different from the CVS system; it manages the version at item level, not project level. The system provides the user version management functionality, which is absence in most of the current peer-to-peer content distribution network. In addition, the version management functionality can be used as a concurrent version system in team collaboration system. In such application, it provides more features such as serverless, robustness and reliability. The peer-to-peer nature of our system is more suitable to the human collaboration model than the client-server model. The system is now being prototyped using OpenDHT on Java2 platform
