Expressions and Significance of Autophagy Related Gene ARHI and Beclin1 in Cervical Cancer

Abstract:Objective To detect the expression of the autophagy gene ARHI and Beclin1 in cervical cancer. Methods In this study, we use immunohistochemical methods to detect autophagy gene ARHI and Beclin1 expressions in 12 cases with normal cervix, 15 cases with CINⅡ-Ⅲ, 50 cases with cervical cancer(including 34 cases without lymph node metastasis and 16 cases with lymph node metastasis). Results(1) The expression of ARHI and Beclin1 in normal cervical tissue, CIN and cervical cancer were followed by decline, compared between the three groups, the difference were statistically significant(P0.05);(2) The expression of ARHI were related to clinical stage and tissue differentiation degree of cervical cancer, the difference were statistically significant(P0.05);(3) The expression of ARHI and Beclin1 in cervical cancer has a positive correlation(r=0.387, P=0.006). Conclusion The expression of ARHI and Beclin1 were gradually reduce with the cervical lesions aggravating and The expression of both in cervical cancer has a positive correlation, suggesting that both genes may be involved in the occurrence of cervical cancer, gradual decline in expression may be associated with cervical lesions.
