Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy of early interventional measures on emotional and intelligent development of high-risk neonates. Methods 186 high-risk neonates including 99 full-term and 87 pre-mature neonates were recruited and randomly assigned into control and intervention group.A survey was done for the related factors that affected neonate intelligent development.Health education, and emotional and intelligent development were initiated, and the optimal beginning point was determined for individually customizing an early training protocol by using Concise Form of Infant Intelligence Development(CFID) developed by ourselves. The early training protocol aimed at the rehabilitation of six intelligent functions including emotion, raw movement, fine movement, cognition ability, language ability and social communication ability was performed on neonates firstly by psychologists and followed by families. The training outcomes were scaled by well-experienced psychologists pre-and post-interventionally and followed up to the age of 1.5 years old.The development quotes(DQs) of six functional intelligent categories and total development quote(TDQ) were compared between two groups. Results DQs and TDQ except for the social communication ability in interventional group were significantly improved post-interventionally either for full-term or pre-mature neonates(P0.05,P0.01) and got more remarkable improvement in pre-mature high-risk neonates. Conclusions Intervention with CFID is feasible and remarkably promotes emotional and intelligent development especially for pre-mature high-risk neonates.
