Updating Statute and Idea after Technology-Advance in Organ Transplantation in China

Abstract:According to history and status quo of organ transplantation in China, the author of this paper maintained that, after making crucial breakthrough in technological and basic research on organ transplantation, the most important thing is to update statute and ethical idea. This updating should be based on ethical reflection and discussion on organ transplantation. In 2003, there are new breakthroughs of the statute and idea about organ transplantation in China, and the relevant regulations and guidelines are also drawing up. Chinese government and medical circle are always take a positive and cautious attitude towards organ transplantation, the so-called China has been to transplant and trade organs from executed prisoners is an absolute fabrication with ulterior motive.
