We show that if [Formula: see text] is invertible, then [Formula: see text] is weakly sensitive compact if and only if [Formula: see text] is thickly weakly sensitive compact; and that there exists a system [Formula: see text] such that: (1) [Formula: see text] is cofinitely weakly sensitive compact; (2) [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are weakly sensitive compact; and (3) [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are not syndetically weakly sensitive compact. We also show that if [Formula: see text] is weakly sensitive compact, where [Formula: see text] is a complex Banach space, then the spectrum of [Formula: see text] meets the unit circle.

Abstract:Let (X,T) be a linear dynamical system defined on a Banach space X and LT:KX∗→KX∗ be defined by LTS=TS , where KX∗=span{〈⋅,y∗〉x:y∗∈X∗,x∈X} ̄ . This paper first obtains the equivalence of the (syndetically) weak multi-sensitive compactness between (X,T) and (KX∗,LT) . Then, it is shown that (1) there exists a non-mean-sensitive linear dynamical system (X,T) satisfying that (KX∗,LT) is mean sensitive; (2) There exists a non-topologically-transitive and weakly multi-sensitive compact system, which is not syndetically weakly multi-sensitive compact. Besides, it is proved that every weakly mixing linear dynamical system defined on a separable Banach space is weakly multi-sensitive compact.

Abstract:We give a sufficient condition for a pair of Banach spaces $(X,Y)$ to have the following property: whenever $W_1 \subseteq X$ and $W_2 \subseteq Y$ are sets such that $\{x\otimes y: \, x\in W_1, \, y\in W_2\}$ is weakly precompact in the projective tensor product $X \widehat{\otimes}_\pi Y$, then either $W_1$ or $W_2$ is relatively norm compact. For instance, such a property holds for the pair $(\ell_p,\ell_q)$ if $1<p,q<\infty$ satisfy $1/p+1/q\geq 1$. Other examples are given that allow us to provide alternative proofs to some results on multiplication operators due to Saksman and Tylli. We also revisit, with more direct proofs, some known results about the embeddability of $\ell_1$ into $X \widehat{\otimes}_\pi Y$ for arbitrary Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$, in connection with the compactness of all operators from $X$ to $Y^*$.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study the solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation in the endomorphism semigroup of the tensor product of a vector space. As preparation, we introduce the concepts of quasi-braided almost bialgebra (see also [10]) and quasi-cobraided almost bialgebra, and discuss some of their properties. In particular, it is shown that the quasi-R-matrix R of every quasi-braided almost weak Hopf algebra is regular under von Neumann's meaning. The solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation in the endomorphism semigroups are constructed respectively from every quasi-braided almost bialgebra and every quasi-cobraided almost bialgebra. As examples, we explain how to build solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation from some weak Hopf algebras and all Clifford monoids. Finally, the FRT construction is given so-as to build every solution of the Yang-Baxter equation from a quasi-cobraided bialgebra.

Abstract:This paper deals mainly with some aspects of the adjointable operators on Hilbert -modules. A new tool called the generalized polar decomposition for each adjointable operator is introduced and clarified. As an application, the general theory of the weakly complementable operators is set up in the framework of Hilbert -modules. It is proved that there exists an operator equation which has a unique solution, whereas this unique solution fails to be the reduced solution. Some investigations are also carried out in the Hilbert space case. It is proved that there exist a closed subspace M of certain Hilbert space K and an operator such that T is ( M , M )-weakly complementable, whereas T fails to be ( M , M )-complementable. Abstract:This paper shows that for the domain intersection $\dom T\cap\dom T^*$ of a closed linear operator and its Hilbert space adjoint everything is possible for very common classes of operators with non-empty resolvent set. Apart from the most striking case of a maximal sectorial operator with $\dom T\cap\dom T^*=\{0\}$, we construct classes of operators for which $\dim(\dom T\cap\dom T^*)= n \in \dN_0$; $\dim(\dom T\cap\dom T^*)= \infty$ and at the same time $\codim(\dom T\cap\dom T^*)=\infty$; and $\codim(\dom T\cap\dom T^*)= n \in \dN_0$; the latter includes~the case that $\dom T\cap\dom T^*$ is dense but no core of $T$ and $T^*$ and the case $\dom T=\dom T^*$ for non-normal $T$. We also show that all these possibilities may occur for operators $T$ with non-empty resolvent set such that either $W(T)=\dC$, $T$ is maximal accretive but not sectorial, or $T$ is even maximal sectorial. Moreover, in all but one subcase $T$ can be chosen with compact resolvent.

Abstract:A set of bounded linear operators from a Banach space to a Banach lattice is collectively L-weakly compact whenever union of images of the unit ball is L-weakly compact. We extend the Meyer-Nieberg duality theorem to collectively L-weakly compact sets of operators, study relations between these sets and collectively almost limited sets, and discuss the domination problem for collectively compact sets and collectively L-weakly compact sets.

Among other things, it is shown that there exist certain positive operators $A$ and $B$ on the Hilbert space $\ell^2(\mathbb{N})\oplus \ell^2(\mathbb{N})$ such that the above equation has no solution.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that a multilinear singular integral operator $T$ on product spaces can be extended to a compact multilinear operator from $L^{p_1}(w_1^{p_1}) \times \cdots \times L^{p_m}(w_m^{p_m})$ to $L^p(w^p)$ for all exponents $\frac1p = \sum_{j=1}^m \frac{1}{p_j} > 0$ with $p_1, \ldots, p_m \in (1, \infty]$ and for all weights $\vec{w} \in A_{\vec{p}}(\mathbb{R}^{n_1} \times \mathbb{R}^{n_2})$ if the following hypotheses are satisfied: (H1) $T$ admits a compact full kernel representation, (H2) $T$ admits a compact partial kernel representation, (H3) $T$ satisfies the weak compactness property, (H4) $T$ satisfies the diagonal $\mathrm{CMO}$ condition, and (H5) $T$ satisfies the product $\mathrm{CMO}$ condition. This is a multilinear compact extension of Journé's $T1$ theorem on product spaces.

Abstract:Let $\Omega$ be a bounded pseudoconvex domain in $\mathbb{C}^n$ with Lipschitz boundary and $\phi$ be a continuous function on $\overline{\Omega}$. We show that the Toeplitz operator $T_{\phi}$ with symbol $\phi$ is compact on the weighted Bergman space if and only if $\phi$ vanishes on the boundary of $\Omega$. We also show that compactness of the Toeplitz operator $T^{p,q}_{\phi}$ on $\overline{\partial}$-closed $(p,q)$-forms for $0\leq p\leq n$ and $q\geq 1$ is equivalent to $\phi=0$ on $\Omega$.
