Under some suitable assumptions of the potential function V⁢(y){V(y)}, by using a finite-dimensional reduction method, combined with various local Pohazaev identities, we prove the existence of infinitely many solutions. Due to the nonlocality of the fractional Laplacian operator, we need to study the corresponding harmonic extension problem.

By the variational method, we obtain two positive solutions. Moreover, we prove that there exists a positive ground state solution by the Nehari method.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the Kirchhoff type problems involving fractional $p$&$q$ problem with critical Sobolev-Hardy exponents and sign-changing weight functions. By using the fractional version of concentration-compactness principle together with Krasnoselskii's genus, we obtain the multiplicity of solutions for this kind problem. The main feature and difficulty of our equations arise in the fact that the Kirchhoff term $M$ could vanish at zero, that is, the problem is degenerate.

Abstract: The $L_p$-Minkowski problem deals with the existence of closed convex hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with prescribed $p$-area measures. It extends the classical Minkowski problem and embraces several important geometric and physical applications. The Existence of solutions has been obtained in the sub-critical case $p>-n-1$, but the problem remains widely open in the super-critical case $p<-n-1$. In this paper, we introduce new ideas to solve the problem for all the super-critical exponents. A crucial ingredient in our proof is a topological method based on the calculation of the homology of a topological space of ellipsoids.

Abstract:Communications in Contemporary Mathematics, Ahead of Print. This paper deals with global compactness and the multiplicity of positive solutions to problems of the type −ΔBNu − λu = a(x)|u|2∗−2u + f(x)in BN, u ∈ H1(BN), where [math] denotes the ball model of the hyperbolic space of dimension [math], [math], [math] and [math] ([math]) is a nonnegative functional in the dual space of [math]. The potential [math] is assumed to be strictly positive, such that [math], where [math] denotes the geodesic distance. We establish profile decomposition of the functional associated with the above equation. We show that concentration occurs along two different profiles, namely, hyperbolic bubbles and localized Aubin–Talenti bubbles. For [math] and [math], profile decomposition was studied in Bhakta and Sandeep [Poincaré–Sobolev equations in the hyperbolic space, Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations 44 (2012) 247–269]. However, due to the presence of the potential [math], an extension of profile decomposition to the present set-up is highly nontrivial and requires several delicate estimates and geometric arguments concerning the isometry group (Möbius group) of the hyperbolic space. Further, using the decomposition result, we derive various energy estimates involving the interacting hyperbolic bubbles and hyperbolic bubbles with localized Aubin–Talenti bubbles. Finally, combining these estimates with topological and variational arguments, we establish a multiplicity of positive solutions in the cases: [math] and [math] separately. The equation studied in this paper can be thought of as a variant of a scalar-field equation with a critical exponent in the hyperbolic space, although such a critical exponent problem in the Euclidean space [math] has only a trivial solution when [math] [math] and [math]

Abstract:In this paper, we establish existence of infinitely many weak solutions for a class of quasilinear stationary Kirchhoff‐type equations, which involves a general variable exponent elliptic operator with critical growth. Precisely, we study the following nonlocal problem: where Ω is a bounded smooth domain of , with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions on ∂ Ω, the nonlinearity is a continuous function, is a function of the class is a continuous function, whose properties will be introduced later, λ is a positive parameter and . We assume that , where is the critical Sobolev exponent. We will prove that the problem has infinitely many solutions and also we obtain the asymptotic behavior of the solution as λ → 0 + . Furthermore, we emphasize that a difference with previous researches is that the conditions on a (·) are general overall enough to incorporate some interesting differential operators. Our work covers a feature of the Kirchhoff's problems, that is, the fact that the Kirchhoff's function M in zero is different from zero, it also covers a wide class of nonlocal problems for p ( x ) > 1, for all . The main tool to find critical points of the Euler–Lagrange functional associated with this problem is through a suitable truncation argument, concentration‐compactness principle for variable exponent found in Bonder and Silva (2010), and the genus theory introduced by Krasnoselskii. The result of this paper extends or complements, or else completes recent papers and is new in several directions for the stationary Kirchhoff equations involving the p ( x )‐Laplacian type operators.

Abstract:In this article, we study global multiplicity result for a class of modified quasilinear singular equations involving the critical exponential growth: where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in R 2 , 0 < q < 3 , and α : Ω → ( 0 , + ∞ ) such that α ∈ L ∞ ( Ω ) . The function f : Ω × R → R is continuous and enjoys critical exponential growth of the Trudinger-Moser type. Using a sub-super solution method, we show that there exists some Λ * > 0 such that for all λ ∈ ( 0 , Λ * ) , the problem has at least two positive solutions, for λ = Λ * , the problem achieves at least one positive solution for λ > Λ * , and the problem has no solutions.

Abstract:We study anti-symmetric solutions to nonlinear equations $$(-\Delta )^su=u^p$$ involving fractional Laplacian operators of order 2s. First, in the often used defining space $$L_{2s}$$ , we establish a Liouvill type theorem. Some suitable forms of maximum principles and some subtle lower bounds of the solutions are the key ingredients here. Second, observing the anti-symmetric property of the solutions, we extend the usual defining space $$L_{2s}$$ for $$(-\Delta )^s$$ to $$L_{2s+1}$$ . It is very interesting to see the existence of solutions in the expanded and somewhat more natural space. In fact, we show the existence of non-trivial solutions when $$p+2s <1$$ and the nonexistence when $$p+2s>1$$ . Finding a suitable super-solution is an important step in constructing non-trivial solutions.

Abstract:This paper deals with the global compactness and multiplicity of positive solutions to problems of the type $$ -\Delta_{\mathbb B^N} u -\lambda u=a(x) |u|^{2^*-2}u+f(x) \quad\text{in } \mathbb B^N, \quad u\in H^1(\mathbb B^N),$$ where $\mathbb B^N$ denotes the ball model of the hyperbolic space of dimension $N\geq 4$, $2^*=\frac{2N}{N-2}$, $\frac{N(N-2)}{4}<\lambda<\frac{(N-1)^2}{4}$ and $f\in H^{-1}(\mathbb B^N)$ ($f\not\equiv 0$) is a non-negative functional in the dual space of $H^1(\mathbb B^N)$. The potential $a\in L^\infty(\mathbb B^N)$ is assumed to be strictly positive, such that $\lim_{ d(x,0)\to \infty}a(x)=1$, where $d(x,0)$ denotes the geodesic distance. Abstract:This paper deals with a p-Kirchhoff type problem involving sign changing weight functions. It is shown that under certain conditions, by means of variational methods, the existence of multiple nontrivial nonnegative solutions for the problem with the subcritical exponent are obtained. Moreover, in the case of critical exponent, we establish the existence of the solutions and prove that the elliptic equation possesses at least one nontrivial nonnegative solution.
