Abstract:This paper investigates the robust stabilization and synchronization problems of nonlinear four- dimensional energy resource system. By using the fuzzy interpolation method, a systemic method will be proposed to stabilize and synchronize the nonlinear energy resource systems. Based on the designed fuzzy state-feedback controllers, several sufficient conditions are developed to ensure stabilization and robust stabilization of the four-dimensional energy resource system, respectively, as well as synchronization of two identical energy resource systems. At last, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the usefulness and effectiveness of the obtained results.

Abstract:By using Popov's hyperstability theory，a fuzzy adaptive control scheme is proposed to control a class of nonlinear systems in this paper.The asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system can be assured by this control scheme under the model-match condition.When the model-match condition does not hold, an accessory control term is employed to keep the stability of the system.So，the method proposed is generally applicable to a class of nonlinear systems，discrete or continuous.

Abstract:A stability result on linear time-varying systems is proposed at the beginning, by which and the TS model the stability analysis and design of a class of fuzzy control system are presented. Contract to the existed method, the new method can utilize fully the information from the operator and reduce time cost. Furthermore, it keeps away the difficulty to find a common matrix for all subsystems and waste to identify repeat, and keep over some hypotheses which are not necessary such that the new system can be applied in more wide range.

Abstract:In this paper, a fuzzy Lyapunov function approach is applied to discrete-time fuzzy control system. Then, a new sufficient condition for the stability of the open loop system is proposed. In addition, the fuzzy PDC controller design problem is reduced to a series of BMI. By variable reduction lemma, the local state feedback gains are constructed. At last, simulation result is given to show the design procedure of the proposed method.

Abstract:In this research, a fast finite-time control scheme is proposed for nonstrict feedback systems with quantized input signals. It is known that nonstrict feedback form and input quantization are common problems caused by the complexity and performance requirements in practical systems. To deal with these difficulties, the obstacle generated by the nonstrict feedback structure is first solved by a fuzzy logic system (FLS) through the amazing characteristic of the Gaussian function. Second, a nonlinear decomposition method for the hysteretic quantizer is applied to simplify the procedures of controller design and stability analysis. Next, an adaptive controller is designed using backstepping theory, and a fast finite-time stability criterion is introduced to confirm its effectiveness and stability. Then, a given simulation example and a practical nonstrict feedback application about one-link manipulator are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. The simulation results illustrate that the proposed adaptive fuzzy controller ensures all the state variables are bounded and the tracking error converges to a small interval around zero.

Abstract:In this paper we develop a general fuzzy control scheme for nonlinear processes. Assuming little knowledge about the dynamics of the controlled process, the proposed scheme starts by probing the process at different points in its operating region to generate a fuzzy quantisation. A simple local controller is then designed at each fuzzy locality. A fuzzy inference mechanism then links up tje local controllers to form a global controller which can be further refined by the learning algorithm. By employing a newly developed structure-adaptive fuzzy modelling scheme, the appropriate fuzzy rule-base for the inference mechanism can be extracted stably and efficiently. The conditions for the stability of the global controller are rigourously established. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the scheme.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the stability conditions of discrete interval type-2 (DIT2) fuzzy control systems. To investigate the system stability, an interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is proposed to represent the nonlinear systems subject to system uncertainty. With the bounds of the uncertainty, the uncertainty can be represented by the lower and upper membership functions. Based on the basic stable conditions of the DIT2 fuzzy control systems and the information provided by the lower and upper membership functions, a relaxed approach is derived to design the DIT2 fuzzy controller, which can effectively stabilize the nonlinear systems subject to system uncertainty. Finally, a simulation example is used to detail the design of DIT2 T-S fuzzy control system and to show the performance of the DIT2 T-S fuzzy controller on handling the system uncertainty.

Abstract:This paper presents a novel approach to stability analysis of a fuzzy large-scale system in which the system is composed of a number of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy subsystems with interconnections. The stability analysis is based on Lyapunov functions that are continuous and piecewise quadratic. It is shown that the stability of the fuzzy large-scale systems can be established if a piecewise Lyapunov function can be constructed, and, moreover, the function can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that are numerically feasible. It is also demonstrated via a numerical example that the stability result based on the piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions is less conservative than that based on the common quadratic Lyapunov functions. The H/sub /spl infin// controllers can also be designed by solving a set of LMIs based on these powerful piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the problem of constraint control for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems. Firstly, a new discrete T-S fuzzy hyperbolic model is proposed to represent a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems. By means of the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) method, a novel asymptotic stabilizing control law with the "soft" constraint property is designed. The main advantage is that the proposed control method may achieve a small control amplitude. Secondly, for an uncertain discrete T-S fuzzy hyperbolic system with external disturbances, by the proposed control method, the robust stability and H-infinity performance are developed by using a Lyapunov function, and some sufficient conditions are established through seeking feasible solutions of some linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to obtain several positive diagonally dominant (PDD) matrices. Finally, the validity and feasibility of the proposed schemes are demonstrated by a numerical example and a Van de Vusse one, and some comparisons of the discrete T-S fuzzy hyperbolic model with the discrete T-S fuzzy linear one are also given to illustrate the advantage of our approach.

Abstract:The stability problem of fuzzy large-scale systems with time delays in interconnections is considered in this paper. The fuzzy large-scale system consists of J interconnected subsystems, which are represented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models. The stability conditions are derived using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach. This condition is independent of time delay and does not need the solution of a Lyapunov equation or Riccati equation. A stabilization approach for the delayed fuzzy large-scale systems through fuzzy state feedback-based controller is also presented in this paper. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the result.

Abstract:In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of nonlinear continuous dynamic systems is proposed. The scheme employs a fuzzy controller and a compensation controller. The parameters of the fuzzy controller are online adjusted according to an adaptive law while the identification of the controlled plant is unnecessary. It is proved that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach. Finally, we apply this controller to control a chaotic system. The simulation results show that our scheme is much superior to the scheme of Wang (1993).

Abstract:This paper discusses the stability of continuous fuzzy control systems. Unlike the previous research works of K. Tanaka [3 7] that do a perfect stability analysis on the well known T-S fuzzy model, this paper gives an extension on the stability condition of T-S fuzzy systems with a different strategy; a new variable which is relative to the grade of fuzzy membership function, be introduced into the proving procedures, and a different stability condition educed (with a similar form). With the proposed method, it could design a better controller in a large range. In compared with the basic stability condition (in [3]), two examples of flight control system show that the designed controller has a good robustness on rejecting the parameter perturbation of plant model.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of reliable dissipative control for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems with Markov jumping parameters. Considering the influence of actuator faults, a sufficient condition is developed to ensure that the resultant closed-loop system is stochastically stable and strictly (Q, S, R)-dissipative based on a relaxed approach in which mode-dependent and fuzzy-basis-dependent Lyapunov functions are employed. Then a reliable dissipative control for fuzzy Markov jump systems is designed, with sufficient condition proposed for the existence of guaranteed stability and dissipativity controller. The effectiveness and potential of the obtained design method is verified by two simulation examples.

Abstract:This paper investigates the universal fuzzy model and universal fuzzy controller problems for stochastic nonaffine nonlinear systems. The underlying mechanism of stochastic fuzzy logic is first discussed, and a stochastic generalized fuzzy model with new stochastic fuzzy rule base is then given. Based on their function approximation capability, these kinds of stochastic generalized fuzzy models are shown to be universal fuzzy models for stochastic nonaffine nonlinear systems under some sufficient conditions. An approach to stabilization controller design for stochastic nonaffine nonlinear systems is then developed through their stochastic generalized Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy approximation models. Then, the results of universal fuzzy controllers for two classes of stochastic nonlinear systems, along with constructive procedures to obtain the universal fuzzy controllers, are also provided, respectively. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the stability analysis and synthesis issues for T-S fuzzy systems. By fully using the properties of fuzzy weighting functions and matrix inequalities, two improved sufficient stability conditions are derived based on the common Lyapunov function and fuzzy Lyapunov function, respectively. It is not necessary to require every fuzzy subsystem to be stable in these conditions. Following the analysis, both parallel and non-parallel distributed compensation controllers are obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities. Finally, four examples are given to show the effectiveness of our proposed approach and the advantages of the approach over existing methods.

Abstract:The asymptotic behavior of solutions of fuzzy control systems is a component of the study of fuzzy control theory. The study of stability for T-S (Takagi-Sugeno) fuzzy systems, which process qualitative data through linguistic expressions, is the subject of this paper. Asymptotic stability is conservative in many real-world applications due to measurement noise and other disruptions. The ultimate limit, which indicates that the mistakes stay in a specific area close to the origin after a long enough amount of time, is a crucial characteristic that is frequently defined for such systems. We are interested with the problem of the state feedback controller for T-S fuzzy models with uncertainties where the global exponential ultimate boundedness of solutions is studied for certain fuzzy control systems. We use common quadratic Lyapunov function and parallel distributed compensation controller techniques to study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of fuzzy control system in presence of perturbations. An example demonstrating the validity of the main result is discussed.

Abstract:We propose a new approach for the control design of fuzzy dynamical systems. The system may contain uncertainty, which includes unknown parameter and input disturbance. The uncertainty lies within a prescribed fuzzy set. The control structure is deterministic, and, hence, not IF-THEN rule-based. The desired controlled system performance includes uniform boundedness and uniform ultimate boundedness. In addition, we propose a quadratic cost index, which reflects the fuzzy system performance. We then formulate a control parameter design problem as a constrained optimization problem. It is proven that the global solution to this problem always exists and is unique. The closed-form solution and the closed-form minimum cost are derived.
