We first establish the central limit theorem for Y-n = 1/rootn Sigma(i=1)(n) F-t by taking the viewpoint of random linear functionals on Schwartz distribution spaces, Then let (X, X-i, i greater than or equal to 1) be a sequence of i.i.d. symmetric B-valued random vectors and (B, B-i, i greater than or equal to 1) a sequence of independent standard Brownian motions on [0,1] independent of (X, X-t, i greater than or equal to 1). The central limit theorem for measure-valued processes Z(n)(t) = 1/rootn Sigma(i=1)(n) X(i)delta(Bi)(t). t is an element of [0, 1], will be investigated in the same frame. Our main results concerning Y-n differ front D. H. Thang's [Probab. Theory Related Fields, 88 (1991), pp. 1-16] in that we take into account F as a whole: while the results related to Z(n) are extensions of I. Mitoma [Ann. Probab., 11 (1983), pp. 989 099] to random weighted mass.

Such central limit theorems complement existing results available from both the econometrics literature and statistics literature. Abstract:Theories of random sets and fuzzy random sets are useful concepts which are frequently applied in scientific areas including information science, probability and statistics. In this paper strong limit theorems are derived for random sets and fuzzy random sets with slowly varying weights in separable Banach spaces. Both independent and dependent cases are covered to provide a wide range of applications.

Abstract:The central limit theorem of martingales is the fundamental tool for studying the convergence of stochastic processes, especially stochastic integrals and differential equations. In this paper, the central limit theorem and the functional central limit theorem are obtained for martingale-like random variables under the sub-linear expectation. As applications, the Lindeberg’s central limit theorem is obtained for independent but not necessarily identically distributed random variables, and a new proof of the Lévy characterization of a GBrownian motion without using stochastic calculus is given. For proving the results, Rosenthal’s inequality and the exponential inequality for the martingale-like random variables are established.

Abstract:In this paper, the functional central limit theorem is established for martingale like random vectors under the framework sub-linear expectations introduced by Shige Peng. As applications, the Lindeberg central limit theorem for independent random vectors is established, the sufficient and necessary conditions of the central limit theorem for independent and identically distributed random vectors are found, and a Lévy’s characterization of a multi-dimensional G-Brownian motion is obtained.

Abstract:We describe a new framework of a sublinear expectation space and the related notions and results of distributions, independence. A new notion of G-distributions is introduced which generalizes our G-normal-distribution in the sense that mean-uncertainty can be also described. W present our new result of central limit theorem under sublinear expectation. This theorem can be also regarded as a generalization of the law of large number in the case of mean-uncertainty.

We prove that if $1 / f(x, z)$ is twice differentiable, then there exists a constant $\mu$ such that the distribution of $(Y_n - \mu n) / \sqrt{n}$ converges weakly to a normal distribution as $n \to \infty$. If $Y_n = X_1 + \cdots + X_n$, where $(X_n)_n$ are i.i.d. random variables, then we recover the classical (Lindeberg$\unicode{x2013}$Lévy) central limit theorem. We also prove the 2020 conjecture of Defant that if $\pi_n \in \mathfrak{S}_n$ is a uniformly random permutation, then the distribution of $(\operatorname{des} (s(\pi_n)) + 1 - (3 - e) n) / \sqrt{n}$ converges, as $n \to \infty$, to a normal distribution with variance $2 + 2e - e^2$.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is the proof of an almost everywhere version of the classical central limit theorem (CLT). As is well known, the latter states that for IID random variables Y 1 , Y 2 , ... on a probability space (Ω, , P ) with we have weak convergence of the distributions of to the standard normal distribution on R. We recall that weak convergence of finite measures μ n on a metric space S to a finite measure μ on S is defined to mean that for all bounded, continuous real functions on S . Equivalently, one may require the validity of (1·1) only for bounded, uniformly continuous real functions, or even for all bounded measurable real functions which are μ-a.e. continuous.

Abstract:Suppose $B_i:= B(p,r_i)$ are nested balls of radius $r_i$ about a point $p$ in a dynamical system $(T,X,\mu)$. The question of whether $T^i x\in B_i$ infinitely often (i. o.) for $\mu$ a.e.\ $x$ is often called the shrinking target problem. In many dynamical settings it has been shown that if $E_n:=\sum_{i=1}^n \mu (B_i)$ diverges then there is a quantitative rate of entry and $\lim_{n\to \infty} \frac{1}{E_n} \sum_{j=1}^{n} 1_{B_i} (T^i x) \to 1$ for $\mu$ a.e. $x\in X$. This is a self-norming type of strong law of large numbers. We establish self-norming central limit theorems (CLT) of the form $\lim_{n\to \infty} \frac{1}{a_n} \sum_{i=1}^{n} [1_{B_i} (T^i x)-\mu(B_i)] \to N(0,1)$ (in distribution) for a variety of hyperbolic and non-uniformly hyperbolic dynamical systems, the normalization constants are $a^2_n \sim E [\sum_{i=1}^n 1_{B_i} (T^i x)-\mu(B_i)]^2$. Dynamical systems to which our results apply include smooth expanding maps of the interval, Rychlik type maps, Gibbs-Markov maps, rational maps and, in higher dimensions, piecewise expanding maps. For such central limit theorems the main difficulty is to prove that the non-stationary variance has a limit in probability.

First, necessary and sufficient conditions are given under the asymptotic tail probability condition for the mixands: nP^ω{| ξ _1 | >ε b_n }0. Second, when the weak limits have a particular form, i.e., the mixing measure comes directly from de Finetti's Theorem, necessary and sufficient conditions are given.
