Abstract:In this work, we obtain an existence theorem of solution of a class of nonlinear second-order integral-differential equation by a constructive method. In the meantime, an iterative method of obtaining the solution is presented in the reproducing kernel space.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the problem of optimization of adaptive direct methods of operator equations. Adaptivity of a direct method is understood in the sense that the subspace on the basis of which it is constructed is chosen depending on the operator of the concrete equation (otherwise, nonadaptive direct method is then concerned), which would essentially let us increase the precision. For some classes of the second kind of Fredhlom integral equations with anisotropic smooth kernels we determine the exact order of the error of adaptive direct methods, and we also give an optimal algorithm.

Abstract:Owing to the importance of differential equations in physics, the existence of solutions for differential equations has been paid much attention. In this paper, the existence of solution are obtained for the nonlinear second order two-point boundary value problem in the reproducing kernel space. Under certain assumptions on right-hand side, we propose constructive proof for the existence result, and a method is presented to obtain the exact solution expressed by the form of series. This paper is a extension of previous paper [Wei Jiang, Minggen Cui, The exact solution and stability analysis for integral equation of third or first kind with singular kernel, Appl. Math. Comput. 202 (2) (2008) 666-674], which extends a method of solving linear problems to present method for solving nonlinear problems.

Abstract:In this study, we present the existence of solution for nonlinear thirdorder differential equation with two-point boundary value conditions under more easily verified conditions than the conditions found in the literature. Reproducing kernel theorem play an important role in the arguments. And we give a constructive method for solving these problems, the numerical examples are given to illustrate the applicability and efficiency of the novel method.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence and iterative approximation of solutions for a class of nonlinear fourth-order integro-differential equations (IDEs) with Navier boundary conditions. We first prove the existence and uniqueness of analytical solutions for a linear fourth-order IDE, which has rich applications in engineering and physics, and then we establish a maximum principle for the corresponding operator. Based upon the maximum principle, we develop a monotone iterative technique in the presence of lower and upper solutions to obtain iterative solutions for the nonlocal nonlinear problem under certain conditions. Some examples are presented to illustrate the main results.

Its exact solutions are represented in the form of series in the reproducing kernel space. The n-term approximation un(x),vn(x) are proved to converge to the exact solutions u(x),v(x), respectively. An example is given to demonstrate the application of the new method.

Abstract:In this paper, we give representation of exact solution for integral equation of third or first kind with singular kernel by the form of series in the reproducing kernel space. The n-term approximate to the exact solution is obtained by truncating the series and the error is monotone decreasing with increasing item of the n-term approximate solution. The solution is stable in the reproducing kernel space. Some numerical examples are studied to demonstrate the accuracy of the present method.

Abstract:In this paper, a novel method is presented for solving a class of second order nonlinear differential equations with finitely many singularities in the reproducing kernel space W23[a,b]. The exact solution u(x) is represented in the form of series. In the mean time, the n term approximate solution un(x) of u(x) is proved to converge to the exact solution in the sense of norm, the error of the numerical solution is monotonically decreasing with the increase of n. Numerical examples demonstrate the accuracy of the present method. Numerical results verify that the proposed method is effective and simple for this kind of problems.

Abstract:This paper deals with a functional equation and inequality arising in dynamic programming of multistage decision processes. Using several fixed-point theorems due to Krasnoselskii, Boyd–Wong and Liu, we prove the existence and/or uniqueness and iterative approximations of solutions, bounded solutions and bounded continuous solutions for the functional equation in two Banach spaces and a complete metric space, respectively. Utilizing the monotone iterative method, we establish the existence and iterative approximations of solutions and nonpositive solutions for the functional inequality in a complete metric space. Six examples which dwell upon the importance of our results are also included.

Abstract:The existence of three solutions for nonlinear operator equations is established via index theory for linear self-adjoint operator equations, critical point reduction method, and three critical points theorems obtained by Brezis-Nirenberg, Ricceri, and Averna-Bonanno. Applying the results to second-order Hamiltonian systems satisfying generalized periodic boundary conditions or Sturm-Liouville boundary conditions and elliptic partial differential equations satisfying Dirichlet boundary value conditions, we obtain some new theorems concerning the existence of three solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, the weakly singular Volterra integral equations with an infinite set of solutions are investigated. Among the set of solutions only one particular solution is smooth and all others are singular at the origin. The numerical solutions of this class of equations have been a difficult topic to analyze and have received much previous investigation. The aim of this paper is to present a numerical technique for giving the approximate solution to the only smooth solution based on reproducing kernel theory. Applying weighted integral, we provide a new definition for reproducing kernel space and obtain reproducing kernel function. Using the good properties of reproducing kernel function, the only smooth solution is exactly expressed in the form of series. The n-term approximate solution is obtained by truncating the series. Meanwhile, we prove that the derivative of approximation converges to the derivative of exact solution uniformly. The final numerical examples compared with other methods show that the method is efficient.

Abstract:In this paper, the fixed point theory combined with a monotone iterative technique is used to investigate the unique positive solution of a boundary problem for nth-order nonlinear impulsive singular integro-differential equations of mixed type on an infinite interval in a Banach space. The conditions for the existence of a unique positive solution are established. In addition, an explicit iterative sequence for approximating the solution of the boundary value problem is derived together with an error estimate. Furthermore, the conditions of the theorems can be easily verified.

Abstract:The paper deals with the explicit calculus and the properties of the fundamental solution K of a parabolic operator related to a semilinear equation that models reaction diffusion systems with excitable kinetics. The initial value problem in all of the space is analyzed together with continuous dependence and a priori estimates of the solution. These estimates show that the asymptotic behavior is determined by the reaction mechanism. Moreover it's possible a rigorous singular perturbation analysis for discussing travelling waves with their characteristic times.

Abstract:This study is devoted to examine the existence and uniqueness behavior of a nonlinear integro-differential equation of Volterra-Fredholm integral type in continues space. Then, we examine its solution by modification of Adomian and homotopy analysis methods numerically. Initially, the proposed model is reformulated into an abstract space, and the existence and uniqueness of solution is constructed by employing Arzela-Ascoli and Krasnoselskii fixed point theorems. Furthermore, suitable generation. At last, three test examples are presented to verify the established theoretical concepts.
