Abstract:We generalize the construction of affine polar graphs in two different ways to obtain partial difference sets and amorphic association schemes. In the first generalization we replace the quadratic form in the affine polar graph construction by higher degree homogeneous functions that are p-ary weakly regular bent. The second generalization uses a combination of quadratic forms and uniform cyclotomy. The negative Latin square type partial difference sets arising from the second generalization seem to be new.

Abstract:Based on the definition of generalized partially bent functions, using the theory of linear transformation, the relationship among generalized partially bent functions over ring Z N, generalized bent functions over ring Z N and affine functions is discussed. When N is a prime number, it is proved that a generalized partially bent function can be decomposed as the addition of a generalized bent function and an affine function. The result obtained here generalizes the main works concerning partially bent functions by Claud Carlet in [1].

Abstract:For an inequality system defined by an infinite family of proper lower semicontinuous convex functions in normed linear space, we consider the Farkas-Minkowski (FM for short) type qualification and the basic constraint qualification (BCQ for short). By employing a new approach based on some new results established here on the SECQ (sum of epigraphs constraint qualification) for families of closed convex sets, some sufficient conditions involving further relaxing Slater type conditions for ensuring the FM qualification are provided. As applications, new sufficient conditions for ensuring the BCQ are given. These results significantly improve the corresponding ones in [C. Li and K. F. Ng, SIAM T. Optim., 15 (2005), pp. 488-512] and [C. Li, X. P. Zhao, and Y. H. Hu, SIAM J. Optim., 23 (2013), pp. 2208-2230], and they are obtained without the key continuity assumption on the sup-function of the inequality system which the previous works depend heavily on. Some examples are also presented to illustrate the applicability of our results.

Abstract:For a general infinite system of convex inequalities in a Banach space, we study the basic constraint qualification and its relationship with other fundamental concepts, including various versions of conditions of Slater type, the Mangasarian--Fromovitz constraint qualification, as well as the Pshenichnyi--Levin--Valadier property introduced by Li, Nahak, and Singer. Applications are given in the restricted range approximation problem, constrained optimization problems, as well as in the approximation problem with constraints by conditionally positive semidefinite functions.

Abstract:We investigate two classes of generalized nonsmooth semi-infinite optimization problems in this paper, that is, the generalized convex semi-infinite optimization problem and the generalized Lipscitz semi-infinite optimization problem. Their first order necessary optimality conditions are obtained using either the differentiability properties of the optimal value functions or the bounds for the directional derivatives of the optimal value function.

Abstract:In this paper, we study constraint qualifications for the nonconvex inequality defined by a proper lower semicontinuous function. These constraint qualifications involve the generalized construction of normal cones and subdifferentials. Several conditions for these constraint qualifications are also provided therein. When restricted to the convex inequality, these constraint qualifications reduce to basic constraint qualification (BCQ) and strong BCQ studied in [SIAM J. Optim., 14(2004), 757-772] and [Math. Oper. Res., 30 (2005), 956-965].

Abstract:For the family of analytic functions $f(z)$ in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ with $f(0)=f'(0)-1=0$, satisfying the differential equation \begin{equation*} zf'(z) - f(z) = \dfrac{1}{2} z^2 \phi(z), \quad |\phi(z)| \leq 1, \end{equation*} we obtain radii of convexity, starlikeness, and close-to-convexity of partial sums of $f(z)$. We also study the generalization of this family having the form \begin{equation*} zf'(z)-f(z) = \lambda z^2 \phi(z), \quad |\phi(z)| \leq 1, \end{equation*} where $\lambda > 0,$ and obtain some useful properties of these functions.

Abstract:In this paper, we create a new subclass of convex functions given with tangent functions applying the combination of Babalola operators and Binomial series. Moreover, we obtain several important geometric results, including sharp coefficient bounds, sharp Fekete–Szego inequality, Kruskal inequality, and growth and distortion estimates. Furthermore, for functions with logarithmic coefficients, we compute sharp Fekete–Szego inequality and sharp coefficient bounds.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to consider coefficient estimates in a class of functions $\mathfrak{G}_{\vartheta}^{\kappa}(\mathcal{X},\varkappa)$ consisting of analytic functions $f$ normalized by $f(0)=f'(0)-1=0$\ in the open unit disk $\Delta=\{ z:z\in \mathbb{C}\quad \text{and}\quad \left\vert z\right\vert <1\}$ subordinating generalized telephone numbers, to derive certain coefficient estimates $a_2,a_3$ and Fekete-Szegö inequality for $f\in\mathfrak{G}_{\vartheta}^{\kappa}(\mathcal{X},\varkappa)$. A similar results have been done for the function $ f^{-1} $ and $\log\dfrac{f(z)}{z}.$Similarly application of our results to certain functions defined by using convolution products with a normalized analytic function is given, and in particular we state Fekete-Szeg"{o} inequalities for subclasses described through Poisson Borel and Pascal distribution series.

Abstract:Bi-univalent functions associated with the leaf-like domain within open unit disks are investigated, and a new subclass is introduced and studied in the research presented here. This is achieved by applying the subordination principle for analytic functions in conjunction with q-calculus. The class is proved to not be empty. By proving its existence, generalizations can be given to other sets of functions. In addition, coefficient bounds are examined with a particular focus on |α2| and |α3| coefficients, and Fekete–Szegö inequalities are estimated for the functions in this new class. To support the conclusions, previous works are cited for confirmation.

Nonstandard diffeology and generalized functions

Abstract:We introduce a nonstandard extension of the category of diffeological spaces, and demonstrate its application to the study of generalized functions. Just as diffeological spaces are defined as concrete sheaves on the site of Euclidean open sets, our nonstandard diffeological spaces are defined as concrete sheaves on the site of open subsets of nonstandard Euclidean spaces, i.e. finite dimensional vector spaces over (the quasi-asymptotic variant of) Robinson's hyperreal numbers. It is shown that nonstandard diffeological spaces form a category which is enriched over the category of diffeological spaces, is closed under small limits and colimits, and is cartesian closed. Furthermore, it can be shown that the space of nonstandard functions on the extension of a Euclidean open set is a smooth differential algebra that admits an embedding of the differential vector space of Schwartz distributions. Since our algebra of generalized functions comes as a hom-object in a category, it enables not only the multiplication of distributions but also the composition of them. To illustrate the usefulness of this property we show that the homotopy extension property can be established for smooth relative cell complexes by exploiting extended maps.
