Abstract:Molecular imprinting technique is a borderline subject which combines the advantages of the subjects of high polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry and science of material. Molecular imprinting technique is a novel technique based on mimicking specification of antibody-antigen. The study of fluorescent molecular imprinting polymer sensors is a significant direction in the development of current sensors with a bright prospect. Fluorescent molecular imprinting polymer sensors combine the recognition ability and predetermined selectivity of molecular imprinting polymers with the high sensitivity of fluorescence analysis. This review summarizes the progress of fluorescent molecular imprinting polymer sensors in recent years. The mechanism of preparation, methods for monitoring binding sites and applications on organic small molecules and ions of fluorescent molecular imprinting polymer sensors are described in detail. Additionally, the development trend of fluorescent molecular imprinting polymer sensors is also discussed.

Abstract:Imprinting techniques have been investigated extensively for the selective recognition of molecules and ions. However, few reviews focused on the state-of-the-art developments in ion imprinting technique. Ions and their analogs have a charge and usually similar physical and chemical properties, but less functional groups than molecules. The slight differences in charges, sizes and shapes of ions determine the structure–activity of metal–ligand complexes and imprinted materials. In this review, we focused on the internal connections between each component at coordination and polymerization stages with the affinity and selectivity of the imprinted materials. Advanced imprinting routes such as multiple-template, dual-template docking oriented ionic imprinting and nanocomposite ion imprinted membranes were elaborated. Computational simulation was highlighted for the prediction of functional monomers, binding mechanisms and selectivity. Multiple antifouling enhanced strategies for ion imprinted membranes were put forward to alleviate the trade-off relationship between treated volume and time. The review should provide researchers with new perspectives to explore ion imprinting technology and stimulate more creative breakthroughs in ion separation and purification fields.

Abstract:Ion‐imprinting technology (IIT ) is a process to synthesize functional polymers , i .e .ion‐imprinted polymers (IIPs) ,using specific ions as templates .Because of the strong affinities and high selectivities towards the template ions ,IIPs have outstanding advantages in the preconcentration and separation of ions in complicated environments and attract much attention .In the field of radiochemistry ,there are also many problems about the preconcen‐tration and separation of metal ions ,w here the concentration of target ions is very low and the composition of radioactive samples is very complicated .Therefore ,IIPs will be widely applied in this field for their outstanding advantages .After the brief introduction of the prin‐ciple of IIT and the synthetic methods of IIPs ,this article reviewed the previous achieve‐ments of IIT in the field of radiochemistry (e .g .,radiochemical analysis ,extraction of urani‐um from seawater , treatment of low level radioactive waste ) , where the template ions included UO2+2 ,Th4+ ,Sr2+ ,Cs+ ,ZrO2+ ,and lanthanide ions .Besides ,the perspectives of IIT in the field of radiochemistry are also presented .

Abstract:Ion Imprinting Technology (IIT) is an innovative technique that produces Ion-Imprinted polymers (IIPs) capable of selectively extracting ions. IIPs exhibit strong specificity, excellent stability, and high practicality. Due to their superior characteristics, the application of IIPs for lithium resource extraction has garnered significant attention. This paper discusses the following aspects based on existing conventional processes for lithium extraction and the latest research progress in lithium IIPs: (1) a detailed exposition of existing lithium extraction processes, including comparisons and summaries; (2) classification, comparison, and summarization of the latest lithium IIPs based on different material types and methods; (3) summarization of the applications of various lithium IIPs, along with a brief description of future directions in the development of lithium IIP applications. Finally, the prospects for targeted recovery of lithium resources using lithium IIPs are presented.

Abstract:Molecular imprinting technology (MIT) concerns formation of selective sites in a polymer matrix with the memory of a template. Recently, molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have aroused extensive attention and been widely applied in many fields, such as solid-phase extraction, chemical sensors and artificial antibodies owing to their desired selectivity, physical robustness, thermal stability, as well as low cost and easy preparation. With the rapid development of MIT as a research hotspot, it faces a number of challenges, involving biological macromolecule imprinting, heterogeneous binding sites, template leakage, incompatibility with aqueous media, low binding capacity and slow mass transfer, which restricts its applications in various aspects. This critical review briefly reviews the current status of MIT, particular emphasis on significant progresses of novel imprinting methods, some challenges and effective strategies for MIT, and highlighted applications of MIPs. Finally, some significant attempts in further developing MIT are also proposed (236 references).

Abstract:Surface ion-imprinting technology (SIIT) is a novel and effective alternative to conventional methods of preparing ion-imprinted polymers. SIIT involves the coating of support materials with a polymeric layer that selectively binds with imprinted metal ions, particularly heavy metal ions. Given its specificity, predictability, and stability, SIIT has been quickly adopted in ion detection, separation, enrichment, and sensing. Here, building on the latest advances in this emerging new technology, we carried out a systematic review to summarize the 1) principles and basic components of surface ion-imprinted polymers (SIIPs); 2) preparations, properties, advantages, and disadvantages of three types of SIIP supporting materials, including inorganic (minerals, carbonaceous materials, metal oxides), organic, and composite (organic/organic, organic/inorganic, inorganic/inorganic) supports; 3) current applications of SIIT, and 4) future challenges and opportunities related to SIIT. Finally, perspectives and future research are discussed to address the pressing need for the development of SIIT for heavy metal ion treatment.

Abstract:As a versatile tool in separation science, cyclodextrins and their derivatives, known as emerging functional monomers, have been used extensively in molecular imprinting techniques. The attributes of cyclodextrins and their derivatives are widely known to form host-guest inclusion complex processes between the polymer and template. The exploitation of the imprinting technique could produce a product of molecularly imprinted polymers, which are very robust with long-term stability, reliability, cost-efficiency, and selectivity. Hence, molecularly imprinted polymers have gained popularity in chemical separation and analysis. Molecularly imprinted polymers containing either cyclodextrin or its derivatives demonstrate superior binding effects for a target molecule. As noted in the previous studies, the functional monomers of cyclodextrins and their derivatives have been used in molecular imprinting for selective separation with a wide range of chemical compounds, including steroidals, amino acids, polysaccharides, drugs, plant hormones, proteins, pesticides, and plastic additives. Therefore, the main goal of this review is to illustrate the exotic applications of imprinting techniques employing cyclodextrins and their derivatives as single or binary functional monomers in synthesizing molecularly imprinted polymers in areas of separation science by reviewing some of the latest studies reported in the literature.

Abstract:Inspired by the recognition mechanism of biological molecules, molecular imprinting techniques (MITs) are imparted with numerous merits like excellent stability, recognition specificity, adsorption properties, and easy synthesis processes, and thus broaden the avenues for convenient fabrication protocol of bio-inspired molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with desirable functions to satisfy the extensive demands of biomedical applications. Herein, the recent research progress made with respect to bio-inspired imprinting materials is discussed in this review. First, the underlying mechanism and basic components of a typical molecular imprinting procedure are briefly explored. Then, emphasis is put on the introduction of diverse MITs and novel bio-inspired imprinting materials. Following these two sections, practical applications of MIPs in the field of biomedical science are focused on. Last but not least, perspectives on the remaining challenges and future development of bio-inspired imprinting materials are presented.

Abstract:金属离子的识别和选择性研究仍是当前水体金属离子污染分析中一大挑战。离子印迹材料具有制备简单、结构稳定、识别性强、吸附速率快、吸附容量大和易回收等特点,在离子分离、富集和传感识别等领域受到广泛的关注。在过去的研究中,有两方面重点内容始终贯穿离子印迹材料的发展历程。一是印迹材料的制备过程的优化,二是识别性能以及识别机理的研究。本文按照时间轴的顺序对离子印迹材料的发展进行综述,并重点归纳了制备过程和识别机理的研究进展。另外对现阶段离子印迹材料在识别吸附重金属中的应用进行了总结和展望。

Abstract:Due to the specific recognition performance, imprinted polymers have been widely investigated and applied in the field of separation and detection. Based on the introduction of the imprinting principles, the classification of imprinted polymers (bulk imprinting, surface imprinting, and epitope imprinting) are summarized according to their structure first. Secondly, the preparation methods of imprinted polymers are summarized in detail, including traditional thermal polymerization, novel radiation polymerization, and green polymerization. Then, the practical applications of imprinted polymers for the selective recognition of different substrates, such as metal ions, organic molecules, and biological macromolecules, are systematically summarized. Finally, the existing problems in its preparation and application are summarized, and its prospects have been prospected.

Abstract:Protein-imprinted materials have drawn great attention for their applications in bioseparation, biosensing and biomedical materials. Despite the success of small molecular imprinting technology in many areas, protein imprinting remains a challenge. This review gives an overview of the progress in protein surface imprinting technology. The preparation process, imprinting methods, and selective recognition ability of the different imprinting material's, including protein surface imprinting membranes, core-shell structured microspheres, nanowires, microgels, and monolayers, are detailed. The advantages and disadvantages of the protein surface imprinting methods are discussed, and the trends and possible future development direction are also elaborated.

Abstract:Multi-ion-imprinted polymers (MIIPs) are materials with a wide range of applications mainly focused on environmental recovery, mining, technology, sensors, etc. MIIPs can incorporate ions such as heavy metals, transition metals, rare earth elements, radionuclides, and other types of ions. The chemical structures of MIIPs can be designed for different purposes and with certain morphologies, such as gels, crystals, or powders, and the surface area and porosity are also considered. All these properties provide the material with several desirable characteristics, like high selectivity, high specificity, adequate efficiency, good stability, the possibility of reusability, and strategy technology adaptation. In this review, we show the multitude of challenges of multi-ion imprinted polymer chemical synthesis based on the different and interesting methods reported previously.

Abstract:Multifunctional oxide thin films exhibit a broad palette of properties, such as ferroelectricity, piezoelectricity, dielectricity, superconductivity, and metal-insulator transition (MIT); therefore, they have long been a research focus in both condensed matter physics and materials science communities. Recently, ion beam irradiation emerges as an effective approach to modify the properties of oxide thin films by introducing defects, strains, structural transitions, etc., and many interesting works have been published. A timely review of those works is therefore urgently needed. Here, we present a comprehensive review of the applications of ion beam irradiation in tailoring oxide thin film functionalities, including ferroelectric properties, dielectric and piezoelectric properties, multilevel MIT process, gas sensitivity, memristive behavior, and magnetic characters, which may be useful for developing capacitors, sensors, memories, and optical devices with enhanced performances. Finally, we discuss the challenges and future perspectives for the usage of ion beam irradiation for tuning the performance of oxide materials and devices.This article has not yet been cited by other publications.

Abstract:Revolutionary technological advances have posed new challenges to humans, and modern technology needs to seek new breakthroughs. Imprinting technology, also known as template technology, is a technology based on the interdisciplinary development of polymer chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, and materials science. The polymer prepared with imprinting technology, termed as imprinted polymer, has a memory effect on specific ions and can realize the selective recognition and enrichment of target species. Therefore, imprinting technology has great potential for application in water environment remediation and industrial wastewater treatment, especially for the treatment of low-concentration, toxic, and difficult-to-degrade heavy metal-containing wastewater. Herein, an overview of recent advances in imprinting technology in the field of adsorption and separation is presented, focusing on methods for the synthesis of imprinted polymers and their application to the separation and enrichment of metal ions in water. Finally, we propose several key issues that remain to be solved in the near future.

Abstract:Molecular imprinting technology, as an interdisciplinary field which developed recently, is applied widely in many areas. Cyclodextrins are cyclic oligosaccharides, and have proper rigidity and flexibility, excellent mechanical stability and biocompatibility. Cyclodextrins have the ability to form inclusion complexes with a wide range of substrates for their particular structures, which makes cyclodextrins as good choice of materials in molecular imprinting technology. Composing of the advantages of supramolecular chemistry, macromolecular chemistry and analytical chemistry, molecular imprinting technology based on cyclodextrins is of great guiding significance for the synthesis of artificially controlled host molecules in supramolecular chemistry and the realization of artificial enzyme with multi-recognition sites. Here, the recent development of molecular imprinting technology based on cyclodextrins is reviewed. Firstly, the synthesis of different kinds of products of molecular imprinting technology is introduced, including the synthesis clues, approaches, methods and the recognition mechanism. Then, the applications of the system in the fields of molecular recognition, chromatographic separation, electrochemical sensors and biological control are emphatically described. At last, the disadvantages in recent study and prospects are pointed out.

Abstract:For many years, Photovoltaic (PV) solar technology was believed not possible to be cost effective and not even close to the cost for electricity production compared to fossil fuels. Surprisingly, the fact is that low cost but powerful and long-lasting solar modules can now be mass produced at the scale of over 60GW per year which makes the LCOE (levelizedcost of electricity) of latest PV systemcost competitive with any other technologies. Similarly, for ion implant technology in solar applications, which were thought to be too slow and expensive, have been successfully been utilized in current solar cell mass production as well as producing of state-of-the-art high efficiency solar cells. The development of ion implant processes for solar cells and the latest high efficiency solar cell results will be presented in this paper.
