Abstract:The basic theory of eco-feminism contains rich thoughts of ecological civilization. For instance, given that women's issues are closely connected with Nature, caring for women is similar to caring Nature, and thus their insight to the development is unique. Taking women as its research perspectives, eco-feminism believes that women have a natural connection with the nature, and advocates that the society should pay attention to the status and role of women in ecologist civilization construction, for they are the propagandist of ecological values, the shaper of "eco-home", the constructor of the social environment and the maintainer of the natural environment. This article proposes that under the guidance of the ecological civilization thought of eco-feminism, it is necessary to establish a harmonious relationship between men and women by carrying out the women and nature harmonious development principle in the construction of economy, politics, culture, society, and ecological civilization, namely, the construction of "five-in-one" general layout of Chinese characteristics socialism. This is of significance to head for socialist ecological civilization era.

Abstract:Existentialist feminism stresses that females should go beyond their own intrinsic nature and establish their consciousness of subjectivity while eco-feminism advocates reestablishing women's unique quality and objects to men's savage conquest over women.These two seemingly opposite and contradictory theories share the common ideals and expectations,namely to examine and overturn patriarchal rule,change women's passive status and search for and realize women's values.The differences lie in the different approaches to realize them.As they have the common ideals,it is necessary to seek for dialogue among the differences.

Abstract:Ecofeminists argue that there is a connection between women and nature.They are firmly opposed to the oppression of women and nature by the patriarchal society and the culturally constructed conceptual binaries.They emphasize a deep reverence for all life,care ethics,feminist principle,feminist value and the importance of interrelationships between humans,non-human others,and the earth.They encourage people to create a new relationship to enhance harmony between people and people,people and nature with ecological wisdom.We can understand the amendment of the protection system of agrarian land from the viewpoint of ecofeminism,just because the connection between women and agrarian land,and the same position that agrarian land was oppressed as women.The protection system of agrarian land needs to take on feminist principle,to advocate feminist thought,to implement women’s participation,and to believe feminist value.

Abstract:Each of us leaves a trace of our consumption on the environment. Take a step back, though, and consider how much influence people have had on the Earth. The Anthropocene, sometimes known as the era of humans, refers to how significantly we have changed the Earth's systems. This is the grand view of humanity's impact on the Earth. In this article, we plan to introduce and explain ecofeminism. Because of the natural connection with nature and the social role as housekeepers, women often have empathetic power when expressing their demands for the public environment, thus becoming a vital force in public environmental protection. Facing the public environmental forces spurting from ecofeminism, we study the dissemination of ecofeminism with the help of mass media. However, in present-day China, as pointed out by ecofeminism, the predatory exploitation of nature and the catastrophic killing of plants and animals make the fate of women challenging to control. Therefore, we study the theory of multicultural ecofeminism and public environmental protection. Finally, based on the integration of ecofeminism and the public environment, we interpret Lawrence's famous work, Sons and Lovers, and analyze the relationship between men and women and the public environment in this work from the perspective of ecofeminism. In human socialization, ecofeminism has provided strong support for protecting the public environment, and at the same time, it has also improved.

Abstract:Eco-civilization, as a civilizational discourse led by China, implies the next stage of civilization after industrial civilization, the essence of which is to respect, conform to, and protect nature. Although the international community is paying more attention to eco-civilization, the existing literature still lacks a systematic discussion of which theories and practices underpin the construction of eco-civilization. Due to the ambiguity of eco-civilization, some even criticize it as being a form of purely partisan politics in China. By systematically reviewing its theoretical pillars, practical actions, and major achievements, this perspective paper argues that China's eco-civilization is not a partisan politics, but rather a legitimate, imperative pathway to global sustainable development rooted in complementary theory and practice, i.e., theories guide practices, and practices enrich theories. We highlight that the theoretical basis and practical actions of eco-civilization constitute a continual improvement process that permits diverse viewpoints and understanding, and any action exploring how to achieve a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature is consistent with the values of eco-civilization.

Abstract:The pain caused by the patriarchal totalitarianism of different modern political regimes is felt by everyone in our time: poverty, unemployment, high exploitation of both nature and humans, systematic oppression, persecution and domination, and pollution that threatens human existence. This article analyzes the different forms of patriarchy in contemporary China and explores a feminist way out. The first part examines how modern patriarchy unfolds itself through the land-enclosure movement that has caused serious pollution in China. I will show that the patriarchal process of development is a double exploitation of both nature and humans. The second part turns to the patriarchy in traditional Chinese philosophies and explores possible dangers in Confucian feminism. In the last part I try to posit as a solution Daoist ecofeminism as a new democracy, wherein the feminist ontology and the freedom of all beings will be explored.

Abstract:Echoing other articles in this special issue, this article re-evaluates a collection of feminist works that fell out of fashion as a consequence of academic feminism embracing poststructuralist and postmodernist trends. In line with fellow contributors, the article critically reflects upon the unsympathetic reading of feminisms considered to be essentialising and universalistic, in order to re-evaluate, in my case, ecofeminism. As an introduction, I reflect on my own perhaps unfair rejection of ecofeminism as a doctoral researcher and early career academic who, in critiquing 1990s international environmental governance, sought to problematise the essentialist premise on which it appeared to be based. The article thereafter challenges this well-rehearsed critique by carefully revisiting a sample of ecofeminist work produced between the late 1970s and the early 1990s. In an effort to avoid wholesale abandonment of the wealth of feminist theory often labelled as second wave, or the rendering of feminisms of the past as redundant as feminist theory changes over time, this article re-reads the work of ecofeminists, such as Starhawk, Susan Griffin and Vandana Shiva, to demonstrate their contemporary relevance. In so doing, the article argues that a contemporary re-reading of ecofeminism offers insights allowing for a radical rethinking of contemporary environmental governance.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to theoretically explore the origins and possible psychotherapeutic applications of some neo-pagan, neo-shamanic, or psycho-spiritual women's movements that are currently spreading in Western countries. In spite of their great diversity, they are all encompassed within the term "ecofeminist spirituality." This article analyzes their ideological, historical, and cultural origins, placing special emphasis on their psychotherapeutic role and describing the main tools and fields of application.

Abstract:This article focuses on the concepts of woman-nature-art, 18.-19. Century has progressed through a structure that extends from women nature artists to today's eco art. First of all, female protagonists in the stories of the writer Andrea Barrett and their historical counterparts, such as Elizabeth Blackwell, were included. Examples of the works of female artists who criticized the male predominance in the art environment of the 1970s were examined. At the same time, it was mentioned that awareness of the environment increased in the 1970s with the influence of scientists, activists and artists. The concept of Ecofeminism, which was first used by Françoise d'Eaubonne in 1974, was defined, and the women and ecology connections of writers such as Vandana Shiva were mentioned. In the last two sections, the works of the women artists selected were examined with the descriptive method. Agnes Varda is discussed in her wheat field project, which she cultivates in the commercial center of New York, as she is the first artist to engage in agriculture as an artistic act and production. Katie Holten has made boulevard trees visible using photographs, drawings, maps, interviews and software. Finally, there is Neri Oxman, who uses nature itself as a design in her projects, which she calls "Material Ecology" combines science, engineering, art and design. Article visualizations:

Abstract:So-called Eco-aesthetics can be understood in two ways.First,it is a branch of aesthetics that focuses on the aesthetic value of natural eco-system.Second,it means a kind of aesthetics which mainly deals with the aesthetic problems derived from seeing world as an eco-system.So far, eco-aesthetics is to a large extent based on the eco-worldviews or ecosophies,the core of which is the idea of universal interconnectedness — everything is seen as a part of implicating,and being implicated in,the identities of other things.But this idea of universal interconnectedness can be developed into a kind of eco-ethics or eco-epistemology rather than a kind of eco-aesthetics.Rather,eco-aesthetics is possible if and only if it is based on the idea of radical isolatedness.From the perspective of isolatedness,all natural things can be seen as equally beautiful.But it does not mean that every natural thing is the same in any sense but that every natural thing is equally unique.From the perspective of this eco-aesthetics,we can reasonably say that all natural things are equally beautiful.

It delves into the multifaceted relationships between colonialism, gender, and the environment, aiming to challenge dominant narratives and present an alternative perspective on environmental justice and gender equality. Drawing upon a range of theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence, this study critically analyses the oppressive forces of colonialism and their impact on both marginalized communities and the natural world. It highlights the historical context of colonialism and its ongoing repercussions in terms of resource extraction, land dispossession, and ecological degradation. Moreover, the paper investigates how these processes disproportionately affect women and marginalized genders, amplifying existing gender inequalities and exacerbating environmental injustices. Through an ecofeminist lens, this research emphasizes the interconnectedness of social, ecological, and gendered systems, demonstrating how patriarchal and capitalist ideologies contribute to the exploitation of both women and nature. Abstract:Eco-social work is a new field of social work practice and research. The discussions about nature, ecology, environment, sustainable development, and indigenous eco-social knowledge gradually became a new direction for social work localization. Eco-social work emphasizes the intersubjectivity and the harmonious coexistence with nature, and the sustainability of welfare integration at the value level. It is the need of citizens to enhance environmental protection awareness and farmers and nomads to protect their ecological rights and interests. Eco-social work can integrate theoretical perspectives, such as ecosystem theory, strengths perspective, intersectionality perspective, and green development, to promote the innovation and application of the social work practice approaches of harmonious coexistence with nature. With professional, social, and cultural-ecological knowledge, eco-social work can build a bridge between the national ecological development plan and the ecological needs of traditional livelihoods. Besides, more knowledge of eco-social work will promote the effectiveness of environmental governance and the achievement of ecological welfare.

Abstract:This article broadens and clarifies the way social work conceptualizes its ecological/system constructs and the professional commitments that flow from them. It utilizes important insight from a contemporary, radical environmental philosophy—ecofeminism—to search for language and descriptions that may help the profession begin the process of formulating and depicting an expanded ecological model of practice. This article sketches the essential philosophical premises of a revisioned ecological model and offers suggestions for interpreting and applying this model. Specifically, it gives attention to critiquing the interrelated oppression stemming from modern economic theory and practice, and ways in which social workers may collaborate with communities and individuals to bring about change.

Abstract:Although hardly new, our current political climate has brought the specter of American injustice more explicitly into the public eye. The Black Lives Matter Movement, the Flint water crisis, the Dakota Access Pipeline, and the various marches on Washington, among others, demonstrate the clear links between humans, nonhuman nature, and justice/equality. Now, then, is a critical moment for the field of environmental studies and sciences to evaluate how we “look outward” at the topics we study and “look inward” at how we conduct our ourselves and our work. Environmental studies and sciences (ESS) purportedly brings a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary approach to research by linking the arts, humanities, social, and physical sciences in pursuit of more just socioecological outcomes. However, a cursory reflection on the field suggests continued disciplinary divisions that sort the nonhuman and human world into more-or-less distinct and sometimes problematically immutable categories. Further, manuscript discussion sections typically mix in issues of justice and equality ad hoc, rather than explicitly building them into research design and practice. In this article, we argue that feminist theory, and in particular theories of intersectionality, can critique and strengthen the ESS agenda by reforming current practice. Specifically, we draw on intersectionality to reframe how we organize the work we do (looking inward) and how we ask research questions (looking outward). We then use this theoretical framework to suggest how intersectional diversity can inform our future research programs, making the field more poised to meet the complex challenges of global environmental change.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the Carolyn Merchant's ecofeminism perspective of nature. Merchant argues that there exists an artificially-constructed connection between nature and women. The root cause for which both nature and women are kept in subjection stems from the man-centered world outlook of “patriarchy”. The upside of the statement still lies in the fact that Merchant conducts the analysis from the internal of “people” as a class-grouping to determine the original source of ecological problems from mankind itself. She deems that, through the efforts of human beings, the oppressive structure of human-to-nature and human relationships would be lifted, and thus a new equality can be hopefully brought within measurable distance of its establishment. Abstract:The idea that sustainability requires changing individuals' routines and choices has for decades been regarded as tantamount to the depoliticization of environmentalism. But the 21st century has seen a shift toward considering 'everyday material practices' as driving a new wave in environmental politics. Claims about the radical potential of material practices have led some scholars down new theoretical paths and reaffirmed old critiques for others. Viewing this development through an ecofeminist lens uncovers problematic oversights. Starting from the position that ecofeminist theory has never not been grounded in materiality, I offer two arguments. First, it is wrong to accept claims of newness in an 'everyday turn' that ignore the past and overlook their specificity. Second, if this turn represents a new scholarly agenda, then old ecofeminist insights about the politics of everyday living should be incorporated. Both my arguments call for reflection on the politics of publishing in environmental politics.
