Abstract:The economy of a large country has the natural characteristics of a large population and an extensive territory,which in turn can create such effects as the economy of scale, differentiated development, and endogenous growth. In the new era,China’s economy has begun to demonstrate new features such as new types of market demand, large number of market players and innovative entrepreneurs, and large scales of infrastructure, urban and rural construction and social wealth, as well as diversification of production factors. These features can be translated into intrinsic development dynamics for reform, innovation, transformation,openness and differentiation. In the new era, the above-mentioned features and their effects should be given full play, and efforts should be made to boost domestic demand, promote innovation, establish a large unified market across the country, develop regional synergy and urban-rural synergy, increase openness, and develop the real economy.
